Personally, I think Gary Chalk is a great alternative to Optimus Prime. I'm not disputing that Peter Cullen is the best, but if for some reason they can't get him to voice Prime then at least they got someone like Gary Chalk to fill in for him. He's a true successor to Cullen who won't ruin the enjoyment of the character.

I also have to say that I think Neil Kaplan was also good. And David Kaye sure is an awesome Megatron.

@Ko0lMoeDee Frank Welker and David Kaye are my favorite Megatrons. Especially in TF:Prime, did you hear Frank's new voice??? It's deep, dark, menacing, and is the next generation of Megatron.

Garry Chalk and Peter Cullen are both good Optimus primes.

@DCMarvel2009 Personally, Megatrons is not quite the same in each series as the original aside from having the role as the main villain so voice changes are needed to suit them more. I can't see Frank Welker as Energon Megatron (or Galvatron as in the Japanese version). Since Prime up until Cybertron (or Galaxy Force) is the same as the original, you can see Cullen playing the part.

I love both Peter and Gary, Gary sounds like the PERFECT decendant for Cullen's voice IMO :) Both are great.

he sounds more like a soft,shy and tired Cullen. Cullen sounds more like a tough chest Prime. That's just my opinion
