I'm a huge fan of Uncharted and 3 was great but some of you are being fanboys. Uncharted 2 was personally superior game than Uncharted 3 with story, mystery, and character interaction. U3 also had less awesome set pieces and Chloe and Elena are hardly in the game long enough. Don't get me wrong the game is still an easy 9/10, it just isn't as well done as U2.but its my opinion so you all are of course open to yours. U3's multiplayer was better though but i came for campaign and was disappointed

I'm a huge Uncharted fan and although Uncharted 3 is my favorite Uncharted game to date i think giving it a 10 is a little too generous. I think the only reason that Uncharted 3 got a 10 was due to the amazing campain, plot twists, and the revamped and improved online. As far as gameplay goes i feel like Naughty Dog took a step forward and a step back, while the shooting and hand to hand combat feel tighter than ever, ND made Nate a little too jumpy but otherwise Uncharted 3 FTMFW!

@citylightspictures I personally thought the story was better than the 2nd. I personally liked the fact that Drake is tracking his ancestor's trail again. I believe it involved Drake's character more personally. Gameplay wise, I think Uncharted 2 was better though, but I enjoyed the 3rd one better because of it's story, set pieces, and overall enjoyment. The ending, though it actually wrapped things up, was a bit cliched. I agree on that.
Should I buy the game or wait for the summer? I mean, it'll be cheaper probablly and it would fit the atmosphere, because it's hot, and there are deserts in the game...
guys i have a problem in multiplayer. often it would just get me out of the game and it says: you were removed from the game. and also the internet connection signs pop up only in uc3. all my other games work fine in multiplayer but not this one. does anyone know the problem??
I know 9 isn't what Uncharted 3 deserves, but did any of you actually listen to his review, did he say this game sucks? How many negatives did he say about the game? One, bad AI, everything else he said is good. People don't care about the reviews anymore, they just jump to the number at the end of the video

It only missed 10% of the max score. Games that get 10's are just absolute, otherwordly MASTERPIECES for their time, like GTA IV. That's why Uncharted 2 got 9,5, because it was such a gigantic advancement over Uncharted 1 and surprised everyone. Uncharted 3 was just a refinement (a huge one at that) of Uncharted 2, but wasn't the same revolution the last game was.
@ComedyAndAction It's a great game, one of my all time favorites, but I don't think it deserved a 10. The controls, compared to Uncharted 2 at least, was stiff and every once in a while, I was screwed over by jumps I should have made but didn't. As for A.I, it is decent, but at times, inconsistent, especially during stealth sections. It deserved a very high score, but not a perfect one.

In the previous games, I didn't care much because his personality is what made me know him, but when Marlowe suggested his past, they forced that question in and didn't answer it. What is Drake's real motive if *spoiler*....Overall, I liked the game better than Uncharted 2, but it still could have done better.

@Kerleyyy Skyrim. There both great games. But skyrim will last you 100+ hours. Uncharted has a 8+ hours campaign with a lot of repabilty too and it has multiplayer and co op if your a fan of those.

@topografer Uncharted kept a consistent flow of enjoyment for me. The Gears series just flopped until 3, and I only enjoy it for the multiplayer with bots. The story was uninteresting overall and the online multiplayer was for the most part, a bore.
@Tealops UC3 could be abit better single player wise, but the content of gears of war is amazing... Naughty dog is making good job though with the online department of UC3, competitive and coop are a blast to play.. Still i think both games should be rated 9/10 but with gears being abit better

It wouldn't be terrible because of the plot (although I don't think the plot is actually worthy of being adapted), but just doesn't fit that they combine a shooter with an Indi Jones type story. Well obviously it's not supposed to be adapted exactly how it is since it is a video game. You wouldn't have boss fights in a game movie. You can't have it both ways and say it's too much like a movie and also tell me it has too much shooting because the combat isn't movie like at all. Pick an argument. You say that you can't see anyone caring about the charcaters but so many people love Nathan and Sully already. I'd take Drake over Indiana Jones and 99% of movie characters anyway.

And why the hell not? You don't even pick up a gun for the first four chapters and the gunplay and story elements are blended nicely. There's no reason why the cinematics don't fit in with the game. Can you at least supply your psn to back up your argument?

@uarenotthere Yea I'd say 9.5 but I couldn't give it a ten just because the mp wasn't great. Yeah, massive improvement from uc2 but just not that good still. At the end of the day though it's a sp orientated game and that's where it shines, truly a fantastic game.

The only reason why this game got a 10 by IGN is because it is a ps3 exclusive. Greg Miller should not be allowed to review games. Even if a game sucks he will always give it a good score just because it is a ps3 exclusive. If he were to review a game for another console he would give it a really low score even if it's a good game. Uncharted is a great game but I don't think it deserved a 10. IGN should just be a Play Station website with such horrible reviewers like Greg Miller.

@Hinderkuli I agree, I was very disappointed after paying $60 for this. Certain chase scenes gave me an adrenaline rush but U3 is cool but it didn't have the 'holy shit' factor I was expecting after playing through U2. ND should have focused on one or 2 main settings like a jungle or city and built the story around that instead of focusing on various set pieces. I am just playing through U1 and prefer that to U3. U2 is definitely the best of the series.
Very overrated game. I returned it like three days after I bought it. The campaign has lots of plot holes, and the multiplayer is even worse then Uncharted 2. The game is good, that's for sure. But it can't hold a candlestick to Uncharted 2. I'd say 8/10. Although, the cruise ship level is AMAZING. But other than that, there just isn't a lot here.

@Kerleyyy Skyrim. There both great games. But skyrim will last you 100+ hours. Uncharted has a 8+ hours campaign with a lot of repabilty too and it has multiplayer and co op if your a fan of those.

@Tealops Im going to end up getting both of them, I'm just not sure which one I should get first. Im thinking Skyrim. But it might be wiser to knock UC3 out of the way first because its quicker.

@Kerleyyy well uncharted 3 campaign is awesome, multiplayer is very good and you will last hours playing it. skyrim is a very good game, very long game. like 150 withought stopping, i cant take that. lol. if you are a competitive player UC3, adventure rpg type, free roam. Dragons, swords 200 dungeons, skyrim.

@topografer Uncharted kept a consistent flow of enjoyment for me. The Gears series just flopped until 3, and I only enjoy it for the multiplayer with bots. The story was uninteresting overall and the online multiplayer was for the most part, a bore.

@Tealops UC3 could be abit better single player wise, but the content of gears of war is amazing... Naughty dog is making good job though with the online department of UC3, competitive and coop are a blast to play.. Still i think both games should be rated 9/10 but with gears being abit better

Don't say the story because all of the indi Jones movies have even dumber plots. It's just mind-boggling how this game gets so mcuh hate for being too linear when it's less guided in comparison to most shooters and linear games. It wouldn't be terrible because of the plot (although I don't think the plot is actually worthy of being adapted), but just doesn't fit that they combine a shooter with an Indi Jones type story. As a movie, it would be a typical Michael Bay explosion flick. I can't see how anyone would give a shit about these characters.

Well obviously it's not supposed to be adapted exactly how it is since it is a video game. You wouldn't have boss fights in a game movie. You can't have it both ways and say it's too much like a movie and also tell me it has too much shooting because the combat isn't movie like at all. Pick an argument. You say that you can't see anyone caring about the charcaters but so many people love Nathan and Sully already. I'd take Drake over Indiana Jones and 99% of movie characters anyway.

@Mikeymaddddddddddddd That is the argument. You can't have both, but they're trying to make it look like a movie (scripted events all the time) yet stick to shooting dumb henchmen as well. It doesn't fit the game and it surely doesn't fit to a character like Drake.

im sorry gamespot, if you say the game is better in every way, then why should we not have high expectations. And i think the main reason everyone is annoyed with the 9/10 rating is the fact that they gave uncharted 2 a 9.5, yet they say uncharted 3 is better in every way and then receives the lower rating...

@Twighlighw0nder But they spent the whole video saying how good the game is, if the game is truly that good then surely it doesn't deserve to get lower than it's predecessor all because it was hyped up more. And in all honesty, it doesn't matter if your expectations were that high, this game is more polished in every way, and deserves a higher score, and at least the best reviewers (IGN) had the balls to give it a 10

@uarenotthere Yea I'd say 9.5 but I couldn't give it a ten just because the mp wasn't great. Yeah, massive improvement from uc2 but just not that good still. At the end of the day though it's a sp orientated game and that's where it shines, truly a fantastic game.

The only reason why this game got a 10 by IGN is because it is a ps3 exclusive. Greg Miller should not be allowed to review games. Even if a game sucks he will always give it a good score just because it is a ps3 exclusive. If he were to review a game for another console he would give it a really low score even if it's a good game. Uncharted is a great game but I don't think it deserved a 10. IGN should just be a Play Station website with such horrible reviewers like Greg Miller.

@Hinderkuli I agree, I was very disappointed after paying $60 for this. Certain chase scenes gave me an adrenaline rush but U3 is cool but it didn't have the 'holy shit' factor I was expecting after playing through U2. ND should have focused on one or 2 main settings like a jungle or city and built the story around that instead of focusing on various set pieces. I am just playing through U1 and prefer that to U3. U2 is definitely the best of the series.

Very overrated game. I returned it like three days after I bought it. The campaign has lots of plot holes, and the multiplayer is even worse then Uncharted 2. The game is good, that's for sure. But it can't hold a candlestick to Uncharted 2. I'd say 8/10. Although, the cruise ship level is AMAZING. But other than that, there just isn't a lot here.
