  • Been playing this song over and over the last couple of days. Seems to be working some kind of voodoo on my subconscious.

  • I listen to Failure on my way to work, & all of a sudden I'm driving a spaceship.

  • Great band! :)

  • kick ass sound

  • Finger Eleven totally stole the chords from this song. Just listen to "Bones+Joints"

  • @toocheaptobuyatripod see what you mean thar

  • One of the best artists ever. I truly mean that.

  • @JimmyMarrow

    you are right :)

  • I love this song. Failure was unique, they did something that was never been done before. A wall of space sound, awesome! And yea, my English sucks on this Tuesday morning

  • @mdognirvana

    sounds good to me :)

  • stop talking about other bands. talk about FAILURE. this is Failure's music, right? talk about Failure.

  • @iwishiwas88 yeah this one needs to be bumped up you come to a page for failure and the first few things you see is some other band being slagged off LONG LIVE FAILURE...

  • Wonderful songwriting.

  • Also, there's this thing in the internet, it's called Google. So stop asking what the fuck paramore is. Google it. You brainless twats. DO NOT EVEN ARGUE WITH ME. FUCKING DAMMIT. THIS IS MUSIC FUCK YOU ALL

  • What the actual fuck, who would even compare them to Paramore on the first place? They play different genres. And for the most part, the haters keep on comparing and saying it shouldn't be compared? What the fuck? How about just fucking listen to Failure and not listen to Paramore or the exact opposite because I don't have any fucking problem with these bands as long as they don't take Justin Bieber in.

  • 90's = great music, hey arnold, and failure.

  • yeah kem andrews

  • thumbs up for the 90s...

  • Failure was around long before Paramore. Oh and they have a male lead singer. Oh and they're songs actually have substance. Oh and they actually have talent. It's like comparing Jimi Hendrix to John Mayer. No fucking comparison. At all. Do I need to say who is the better musician? I hope not. God I hope not.

  • the intro/verse guitar part sounds like something else, anyone know what it is?

  • @mrlee192 it's a little soundgardenish... maybe?

  • Very underrated band. They rock! Paramore sucks ass!!!

  • great band. the whole fantastic planet album was great. I'm glad they released the GOLDEN album.

  • This band is fucking awesome. Why havent I heard about them before?

  • Check out the acoustic version a friend and I recorded.

  • FUCK PARAMORE!

  • :3 first time hearing this band and there pretty good

  • So stupid, they broke up. Would like to hear more, but it's not coming

  • @TheChocoEye

    'Year of the Rabbit'

    look into that

  • @newkillergenius

    Thx i will

  • i'm not going to read through 280 comments just to see why shitty paramore is even being discussed on this awesome video... but the lead singer was still pissing in her days of the week underwear when this album came out so there really should be no comparison between these two bands. it's almost as bad as when fucking dumb kids try to tell me that "Nine inch Nails' cover of Johnny Cash's: Hurt is okay but not as good as the original"... fucking rediculous

  • @faelyur Just to be clear, you were making fun of idiots who think that Johnny Cash wrote "Hurt". Correct?

  • @Idkfawin32 yes, that's correct. i always tell these retards to do some research and realize that downward spiral was released in 95 or 96 and cash's cover was in 03... but, i've even had some people try and tell me that it was a previously unreleased johnny cash song that nine inch nails made popular. people just think with/talk out of their asses most of the time. still, i can't seem to stop it from getting to me on some level.

  • how do people not like this?!

  • Scary makeup. Yikes!

  • this song hits home for me.

  • the bad thing about this video is you can see how bad Greg looks from the dope... But I still think they're great!!!

  • what a great band

  • There is no comparing the 2 Failure was a one of the most under rated bands of the 90s producing music that still holds up today. Paramore is a run of the road pop rockband, they do what they do well but they are in no way close to the brilliance of Failure

  • One of the greatest bands of all time.

  • Comment removed

  • I am really sick of seeing Paramore or whatever they're called mentioned in Failure videos. Enough about that doo doo.

  • Dope as fuck. Saw them at Lollapalooza 96 in Des Moines and they still kick ass. Ken Andrews is awesome!

  • god damn.. i love failure

  • @aperfectcir God damn right! Awesome band!

  • fuck a paramour

  • hahaha ken looks all michael ian blackened. nice.

  • favorite band of the 90's

  • This song makes me want to vandalize cars.

  • MAN, they just don't make shit like this no more. Too good. I love it.

  • @3rni3PL They do, it just got wayyy fucking harder to find now...

  • Is that Dave Grohl behind the kit in the beginning? Awesome song & band.

  • IT SOUNDS VERY POST-GRUNGE,ISN'T IT???

  • Ken and Greg were fucking magic together. Amazing apart but so much more together...

  • this song is so cool it takes me back to highschool when things were still cool

  • paramore? what's that?

  • @OmnipotentSquid PARAMORE = CRAP. Don't even compare...

  • @OmnipotentSquid get that shit outta here!

  • which ones troy?

  • @guertin11 he didn't join until after their last album I think

  • This is the one Failure song I keep revisiting time and time again. My fave of theirs.

  • I wish Ken Andrews wasn't such a fucking dick, because he's a genius and I love his music.

  • @traumas Why is he a dick?

  • its Oasis and Nirvana exploding together plus a hint of Tool

  • Failure makes awesome videos!

  • I had a dream last night that Failure got back together and I went to two of their shows... to my great disappointment my alarm clock rudely awakened me from this amazing dream.

  • @TheTetrarch

Hahaha, I'm sure you was angry your whole day xD

  • i still love this song and album! i saw and met ken andrews in long beach at a record store..he did some songs, afterwards i talked to him and told him that magnified blows my mind and how much i loved his work....he was a mellow/nice guy.

  • I love the camera pan in the first 30 seconds.

  • Kelly Scott is a beast! he is one of my drum heroes

  • the bass player looks like King Diamond!!!!

  • Paramore covered them because they liked them .....anyone who likes Failure or ken Andrews is OK in my book . My only regret is that I have never seen Failure live.........and BTW they have the best Depche Mode cover ever.

  • This song is the essence of the 90's. It was a different time for sure with Failure and Ken Andrews leading the way in creative art and music. My life wouldn't be the same without Failure.

  • If Paramore wouldn't have covered Stuck on you I would have never discovered Failure... .

  • I have heard two songs by these guys and I liked them. I am getting a strong HUM vibe from them. Is there a good reason from that? Anyway good stuff!

  • @kilpatk Very much so! Many fans of Hum are also fan of Ken Andrews (and his bands), and vice-versa. If you like Failure (and Hum, for that matter) check out Year of the Rabbit, another of Andrews' bands. It has that distinctive "signature sound".

  • @Skyrift Thanks!!

  • @Skyrift Anything specific?

  • vaya esta es una muy buena cancion al estilo unico de Failure Yeahhhhhh !!!!!!

  • Why is everyone comparing Paramore to Failure? I dont get it?

  • @TheValvetheory

They covered "Stuck on You" and even named an EP after one of the lyrics (Summer Tic EP, or some shit...)

  • @TheValvetheory - Because Paramore covered Failure sir (although I wonder if Paramore knows what the song is about ;) I'll give them the benefit of the doubt).

  • @TheValvetheory

It looks like they "covered" Stuck on You.

  • @TheValvetheory PARAMORE = SUCKS. FAILURE = LEGENDS

  • @TheValvetheory yeah its a fucking travesty..Failure and what Ken Andrews has done is about 1000x better

  • @TheValvetheory Yeah WTF?

  • @TheValvetheory cause of one cover song

  • @TheValvetheory cause of one cover song.

  • @TheValvetheory

i think its because Paramore song one of there song called "Stuck on you"

thats how i got here cuase i wanted to hear the orignal people who wrote that song

  • @TheValvetheory because Paramore make a cover "Stuck on you"

  • hey i havnt listen to failure in a long time.theres a song with the lyrics.the doornob was glowing all the picture were melting or something like that.if u know what song this is.please comment.if not forget about.

  • @DeathTap618

Yeah the songs called "Smoking Umbrellas" off their Fantastic Planet album 1996 Failure.

  • @DeathTap618 You are speaking of Smoking Umbrellas off of their Fantastic Planet album

  • I've been into to this band and album since 1994....though I never got to officially see them but i did see and meet Ken Andrews in '07 in Long Beach at a record store

anyway looooove this song, video and album....i miss this time period.

  • @jovanna242 FINGERPRINTS! I was totally there, he signed my copy of Magnified (I left the dvd at home and was totally bummed I didn't get that signed too) I was star struck, he was standing behind me for like 10 minutes and I didn't even notice until he turned around and I couldn't move

  • I love this song so much. So much.

  • Look how young they are! I miss Failure.

  • The only song I have heard of failure was the cover for enjoy the silence, but now I have heard enough to say this band is awesome.

  • Ken has a pretty sweet guitar.

  • Does the bassist have both of Paul D'Amour's basses? :O

  • failure kicks ass!

  • I'd love to know how Failure got that bass sound... always sounds great.. like on Heliotropic especially.

  • @HumanJarv On Heliotropic, he plays a Wal bass.

  • @edificemusic Woah, really?! Would it be fretless then.. Might be silly but my favourite bassist Mick Karn plays a fretless Wal, it's just amazing :)

  • @HumanJarv If you listen to the demos for Comfort, or any of their pre-label songs, it is indeed fretless. Actually, on the DVD Greg specifically mentions Mick Karn as an influence for that sound!

  • @kidpresentable Wow! That's great to hear.. I was really drawn to this band because of the detail of sound on the bass.. as well as the songs themselves sounding great. I'll have to listen to some earlier stuff! Thanks! :D

  • Let me come undone anywhere they are..........

  • I've always loved Failure and didn't know Paramore covered them until today. As for Paramore, I found their debut album to be an interesting if uninspired listen, but did grow tired of them quick - no knock on them, just not something I grew to like personally. Cool that they'd pick a Failure song to cover though.

I first got into Failure when I heard their "Enjoy the Silence" cover after buying the Depeche Mode tribute album (for the Rammstein song at the time lol)

  • @TSGTheSportsGamer have you check out their other albums? also give a listen to Autolux (Greg Edwards band) and to Year of the Rabbit (Ken Andrews band)

  • this band is great but I don't see their music online, someone cant tell me, any webside I can dowload their music?

  • pirate bay

  • Chordal bass lines ftw

  • Comment removed

  • increible

  • soooooo, the singer is keanu reeves? the fuck?

  • That's abit harsh, I think the lead singer is probably a better actor.

  • @ThriceDog

    even better lol!

  • @notmaureen

    hahahahahahahahaha! nice one.

  • wow failure is awesome!

  • Actually in love with this bassline.

  • No.

  • Valid contribution.

  • @HumanJarv Paramore are a successful band indeed, but being "successful" and being "good" are far and away completely different things. It is just like Metric's cover of Elliott Smith's "Between the Bars". Their cover is an insult to the original because it lacks what made the original so great.

Also, Paramore are by no stretch of the imagination a "good" band.

  • Pfff, well, I don't want to define 'good', music is pretty subjective, but I like Paramore, I appreciate them musically.

  • Yeah, they totally bring a lot to the table. Technical music, original melodies, memorable songs (by memorable I mean forgotten in 2 or 3 years and their former fans left to say "Who?" when their music is mentioned in the future).

They are one of the more durable buzz bands and will fade away into non-existance as nothing more than a blemish on the progressive history of music.

  • Yeah, they TOTALLY do.... -_- Totally.. just because you don't like them & don't think they're credible, it's not to say they don't have 'original melodies'... and last time I checked technicality isn't a presiquite of good music... it's because it isn't.

  • @HumanJarv What the fuck is a presiquite? Don't you mean a pre-requisite?

Also I never said I didn't like them and I never said they weren't credible. Stop making assumptions. Also, no, their "melodies" aren't original. Nothing about them is. That's why they don't contribute to the progression of music whatsoever. Try and become more learned about music before just looking like a knuckle dragger.

  • 'progression of music', since when was that what we were talking about? I said Paramore are a good band, they make music I like.. to be honest it's not technical & some of it isn't the most imaginitive but they've written some damn good songs that are original.. & in terms of 'memorability'.. that doesn't count for much... especially if you asked most people who Failure are... pretty redundant point there...

  • @HumanJarv I said Paramore didn't bring anything to the table of music. You argued otherwise, therefore decided to uptake my arguement on whether or not they added anything to music or not. Dumbass.

Paramore have been doused with media exposure and whatnot; Failure wasn't. Paramore are a generic buzz band who rely on the shallowness and simpleness of their fans to sell music. People haven't heard of Failure in the first place so how can they remember them? You're so unbelievably short-sighted.

  • Couldnt have said it better myself, you hit the nail on the head my friend. There are tons of unoriginal bands like Paramore around, they'll soon fall into the trash heap of forgotten music.

The difference with Failure is that they never achieved the level of success they deserved in the first place. Paramore's got nowhere to go but down. If you're gonna cover a song, at least add a different element or feel to it rather than recycling the exact same thing. A Perfect Circle did it the right way.

  • @Backlit91 I'm going to have to disagree. I mean Paramore obviously had good inspiration i.e failure.

I'm a Paramore fan so maybe i'm a bit more biased. but now i've been introduced to more music and i really appreciate it. You act ike it's their own fault for being big. theyve only done what every band does now that we're in the 00s.

It's not the same anymore. there are different ways to success.

The industry is obviously not the same anymore, we just have to deal with it?

  • @HumanJarv Also, technicality is a pre-requisite of progression. You cannot truely contribute to music without having knowledge of those that came before you. Tool.

  • '@Boi69...' Technicality isn't a preresiquite of anything... good music is good music.. it has influence but it doesn't need technicality... ballbag... -_-

  • @HumanJarv Are you one of those people who is thick enough to think that music is purely subjective? There is a reason that some bands are hated by most and vice versa. There are formulas to it, techniques to making it. The fact that you think technicality isn't needed to advance something just tells me that you blatantly haven't got any sort of analytical skills whatsoever.

  • And I don't get why you have so many thumps down .... I have to admit that I got to know Failure because of a cover (not Paramore though) and now I really love them. As long as these bands don't claim it to be their songs they can cover whatever they want. Failure rocks!!

  • Yeah, it's pretty pathetic... Oh well, it's their loss, I appreciate the cover & got into Failure... I don't care if some arsehole on the internet doesn't think Paramore are this or that.. I'm the one who comes off better, I get to like a new band ;)

  • Holy shit! I look just like their bassist :O

  • Comment removed

  • @DurhamrockerZ

    You look weird

  • @calebmanasco

    : I

  • Now I feel bad.

  • @DurhamrockerZ

cool! he plays guitar in Autolux now :)

  • I love this guys..... waaa i love Failure!!!

  • the first time that i heard of this amazing band was about 2 years ago, and i was amused, it's a shame thath they didn't continue making such amazing songs like this one. i wish they still making songs

  • wait... who IS playing drums? cause on this album, the bassist played drums.

  • :56/ Danny Carey!?

  • i wish

  • This band is great, dont get me wrong.

But my god they sound ALOT like HUM.

  • Really? when somebody said they sounded similiar in the first 20 seconds I thought how wrong they are :/

  • This is like my favorite song of all time. SO AMAZING! Theres no song like it.

  • awesome song, awesome band but then I have yet to hear anything Ken Andrews was involved in that I didn't like

  • Let's hope paramore doesn't cover this song...

OR any other early to mid 90's amazing bands.

  • gawd yes i really am sick of them ruining amazing 90s songs

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!

    THAT SOOOO RIGHT !!

Its like Avril Lavigne playing Third Eye from TooL, or Them Bones from Alice in Chains. Hahaha

  • oh too late. they completely BUTCHERED a sunny day real estate song.

paramore needs to be taken out back and shot.

  • Thumbs up from me, but I would bone the lead singer, she's the reason they're so popular, + most people are too lazy to look for good music so they look to the pop charts for inspiration! Some one tell them about LastFM!! Bastards!

  • @thevial

    Totally.

  • @rhythm013 Yeah - Paramore please stay away from Failure

  • @rhythm013 I actually overheard them doing a cover of My Hero by Foo Fighters, cringe.

  • @rhythm013 In case you haven't heard it, Emotron's cover of "Undone" is actually far, far worse than Paramore's "Stuck on You." It sounds like it's parodying overuse of autotune.

Be sure to check it out if you want to hear even more sacrilege against this band.

  • @rhythm013 A cover is a sign of respect, it also helps the younger generations learn about this and many other bands... plenty of times have i discovered great bands via TV Commercials, Videogames and Covers : )

If you don't like the covers just listen to the originals

  • @rhythm013

Haha! I've been thinking the same thing. I hate that band (Paramore), but I gotta say they have a penchant for covering ridiculously good songs. I just don't understand how a band with so many great influences can sound so flimsy at the end of the day (again, Paramore...not Failure).

  • That drummer is a babe;)

  • love this band.

  • Maybe it's just me, but I wish they would have included the drum intro at the beginning of the track instead of tacked to the back of Wonder Life. That drum intro just sets up the song for me. Love it!

  • magnified change my vision of rock, definetly. i was (more) young when i discover and was clash on my face.

  • Does anyone agree with me that Ken Andrews is incredibly attractive?

  • I'm male and I'm straight but I'll agree.

    :p

  • lol cool

  • Totally agree.

  • @robynskywalker Oh lord YESSSSSS!!

  • How have I never heard this? This is awesome! I'll buy it as soon as I can find it!!!
