Y'know, for me, it almost never happens. I mean, i'm lucky to not being blue shelled, and Ihave more control than you. Also, there's a trick to not being bumped by the POW block. Plus, I always get in first place against the cpu.

A lot of the arguments you have for this video game is pointless because there are ways to avoid them.

You crash at high speeds because you did some bad driving which isn't the programmers or the video game designers fault.

the trick to being good at any of the new mario cart games is to stay in 2nd place for most of the game to avoid all the crap that gets thrown just @ the guy in 1st, as for red shells and pow blocks, they can be avoided it just takes a bit of practice

To avoid the POW block.....Shake the Wii remote when the pow block is about to finish it's power

To avoid the blue shell.........start going backwards so 1: A player passes you and don't get hit

2:the players run close to you and they all get hit

To avoid the red shell 1.you need a shell or some bananas. 2.leave it behind you so red shell go boom!

@ebolaworld there is a way to dodge the blue shell, but no one ever gets the opportunity to do it... once the blue shell above you spins around get ready, and the second it comes at you, use a mushroom or some other immediate boost, and you'll just barely escape the blast radius

Like, one time, while doing boost jumps on those ramps in DK... something, (forgot the exact name) when I were doing the boost jumps, I got hit by a red shell & fell into the abyss inbetween. Then, right after Lakitu put me back on one of the ramps, someone (I think it was Bowser) hit me with a star & knocked me down into abyss AGAIN!

Oh Nintendo, what have you done! You went from making some really great games to a medicore system with mostly shovelware and a few games that seem halfway decent.

It used to be so wonderful in the 80's and 90's when great systems like the NES,SNES, and N64 were out. Now it seems like the Wii, has mostly kiddie games and not enough for an older crowd. My favorite Nintendo characters Donkey Kong and Mario are now silly and stupid.

Nintendo missed quality standards after the N64. An Ego Shooter or Soccer game for Wii. It's only bad. The Wii is the same as the gamecube but with different control. @mallala7 let's see i played ocarina of time, majora's mask, twilight princess, a link to the past, the minish cap as well as the wind waker which is one of my more favorite games of the franchise. all the games do have as much creativity as it's predecessors, they all have heart containers, huge worlds to explore, dungeons with maps, compasses, boss keys as well as smaller keys. and the best part about each game is that they all have major huge bosses to face.

Alot of those problems, like 'Speed kills' can be easily countered by knowing where you are going and knowing how to play the game. Once you know the courses, you know where you can use speed and where you need to perhaps slow down a little and be careful. You get punished in the other games for being in first as well, it's just more obvious in this because there are 12 racers rather than 8.

1st place got nerfed because the first place person in these games tend to lead the whole race. but with this nerf, it becomes to "balanced" and everyone gets a chance a the first place spot and its more "exciting" as the tables are constantly turning... and the slowing down? well have u driven before? tight corner=slow the fk down so you can make it. its kind of a general rule in racing games....but ya i've always hated the amount of pit falls in the mario kart games. way too many for my liking
