  • Am I the only one who notices that the edited lyrics, "Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense," are in a way deeper voice than the rest of the song?

    0:21

  • where a dark man waits, with a dark porpoise...

  • What happened Middle East?

    You used to be cool.

  • @Twilleh buddy...they still are...

  • @Twilleh Americans kind of messed that up for them, now didn't they?

  • This guy always gave me the creeps. His german synchro had such a scary voice...

  • BOOSTED!

  • Musilm Anti deformation leagues sued disney for the barbaric line

  • Did everyone miss the part where it says "Arabian nights, like Arabian days, more often than not, are hotter than hot, in a lot of good ways"?

  • @jmfalcon1 I want to rewatch TV series everytime I hear that part.

  • 0:39 They mention Alan Menken twice...I don't blame them.

  • Anyone else start singing along but suddenly get a bite lost with the different lyrics in the first verse?

  • @MrJoeyWheeler *bit

  • @MrJoeyWheeler I know what you mean. I swear that a long time ago, the opening theme said "where they cut off you ear if they don't like your face, it's barbaric but hey it's home..." I have no idea who snuck into my house and changed my copy out with this version, but I don't like it

  • Lmao. Poor camel. :P

  • This intro used to scare me :3

  • Im confused :s aladin is arabic, the original story IS arabic, i dont get where people are getting china from? :s

  • "The story takes place in the mystical city of Agrabah, which is based mainly on the medieval city of Baghdad, the home of the 1001 Arabian Nights"....Therefore, modern day Iraq

  • Where does Aladdin take place in the world?

  • @LANOIRSUPERSTAR india

  • @LANOIRSUPERSTAR The original tale takes place in China, but here it takes place in an undefined part of the Middle East.

  • @2wingo Indeed. If one were to make a modern adaptation of the tale, it would probably be wise to stick to the original Chinese version, since the Arabian iteration has already been done.

  • @LANOIRSUPERSTAR probably somewhere in modern day gulf or saudi arabic...

  • Disney! Where did it all go wrong?

  • The narrator for this totally sounds like a Kajiit.

  • stupid muslims haha

  • Where's the original version? where it says ' where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face '?

  • I kno there very funnie on how ppl get pissed at a comment or sumthing jn tha movie clip

  • @dslyace I think they just mean weather not ppl and if they do then it's thieves and stuff

  • they should realease this movie in 3D

  • Comment removed

  • Its racist but hey its Disney

  • @DARKLOVE712 why is it racist ?

  • @DeruloSK Because it is only barbaric to the west

  • @DeruloSK Init :s

  • it sounds so weird where they edited the lyrics. doesnt sound like the same guy singing. LAME

  • "it's barbaric but, hey, it's home"...yeah, not orientalist whatsoever! :)

  • @SeaOfStooges And that's why we love it! Trolololol

  • I am the only one that is bothered by the way the camel walks?

  • @PurpleAndYellow10 the camel grooves to the music!!

  • @PurpleAndYellow10 nope ._. it bothers me lol

  • ah salam! want to buy AK 47?

  • @NyxRedvines Why're you bringing that up?

  • @Mabh95 Also, the Genie is the last one with the lamp by the end.

  • everytime i play as Malzaher in league of legends my friend sings this

  • @blubablubahumbug lol is everywhere!!!! ARABIAN NIGHTS REPRESENTS MALZAHAR IN LOL!!!!!

  • I still think that it is dumb that they changed part of the lyrics.

Where is says "Where its flat and imense and the heat is intense,"

Is ORIGINALLY "Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face"

  • @AacheyeJay точно, камрад! проклятая политкорректность! )

  • @AacheyeJay i don't ever remember those lyrics lol

  • @AacheyeJay

No joke! Ok it's a little offensive but seriously: the flat immensity and intense heat of the place is barbaric? It's just nonsensical with the replacement lyric.

  • @AacheyeJay Political correctness is gay but actually I think the new lyric sounds better

  • @AacheyeJay I know, but they would've been sued or something if they didn't change it.

  • @AacheyeJay Is that the real lyrics

  • @AacheyeJay Maybe, just maybe, it's because the original lyrics are ridiculously racist?

  • @MISTtumbles

Racism and sexism, when not used to needlessly insult, should be welcomed as a way of expressing and highlighting the differences between cultures. Nowadays, the current world order wants to make everyone think that we're all the same and eliminate the boundaries that make each people an race who they are, with merits and demerits. so that it will become easier and convenient to control the masses by merging everyone into a single mass of idiots.

  • @AacheyeJay

i have no problem with the original line, but lyrically the updated one flows better imo.

  • @AacheyeJay well i don't know why they changed it for the movies and stuff, but for our middle school musical, we couldn't exactly sing about cutting off peoples ears...

  • This song is magical. -.-

I love it, and i love the film. :) ...Not only just as little child. :D

  • Salesman : ''It begins.. with a dark night....''

    *Throws stars in the sky*

Me: WTF THATS NOT A DARK NIGHT WITH STARS D:

  • Only 228,066 views? Why is it only showing mine?

  • Oh I come from a land, from a faraway place Where the caravan camels roam Where it's flat and immense And the heat is intense It's barbaric, but hey, it's home When the wind's from the east And the sun's from the west And the sand in the glass is right Come on down Stop on by Hop a carpet and fly To another Arabian night
  • Augh! You cut the BEST part!

    'To close...a little TO close!

  • i watched it so many times!

  • MEANWHILE, IN PAKISTAN...

  • awww, you cut out the funniest part:

"please, please come closer.. closer.. closer... whoa TOO CLOSE!! there that's better! :D"

  • he looks like akinator the web genius. (except the beard!!!!)

  • That heat is really barbaric.

  • Getting a serious urge to look back on these old movies!

  • @chocletemilkshards Actually he's right. The original version was written with those lyrics. They changed it when it was released onto videocassette.

  • "Oh, I come from a land from a faraway place, where the caravan camels roam. WHERE THEY CUT OFF YOUR EAR IF THEY DONT LIKE YOUR FACE, it's barbaric, but hey it home!"

Thats how the song was supposed to be! they shouldn't have changed it!

  • @MsBarbiegirl11 Dude...stop...

  • This takes place in current Saudi Arabia

  • @flowerluvy how do you know ??

  • RIP Bruce Adler

  • 0:37 why did they say Alan Menken twice?

  • WHere the HELL IS John Muskers and Ron Clements??????????? if they were stil in Disney, More movies like these will be shown

  • Thumbs up if RWJ brought u here with his latest video... :-D

  • @HotChicka77 yes :))

  • I've always been sooooo proud of having the same last name as Ron Clements, lol.

  • can somebody can tell me the tune of this song???

cause, the original is more low than this version

  • @lion10o0 yeah i thought it didnt took it the first time ...

  • This song creeps me out, but I love it to death. Lol

  • Did he say "it begins with the Dark Knight" ??? Where's Batman then?!! I want to see it! >: {

  • i am watching this movie...right now...immediately!!

  • Did Robbin Williams sing this?

  • @whitesox901 No but the singer purposely gave it a robin williams tint because it was meant to be revealed at the end of the third film that this was the genie in disguise

  • Though it's him that provides the talking voice

  • awyguehfljskd; I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE SO BAD NOW.

  • Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face <3

  • I wonder how many of you will know this.

In the original script, Genie was supposed to be the Merchant at the beginning, too. Which is why they are both both voiced by Robin Williams, why the beard is the same, and why the Merchant has only four fingers, while all the other human characters have five.

  • @Mabh95 i knew they were meant to be the same person but i never ever noticed that he only had 4 fingers 'til i read that :L

  • @Mabh95 i do now

  • @Mabh95 yeah i mean if you didn't notice the voice you'd be a fool of fools.

  • @electrogonorhea Seeing as how I only saw this movie as a kid and i havent seen it in over 11 years, I didn't know the merchant was voiced by Robin Williams until now, I also didn't know it was him way back when is because I didn't know he could change his voice. But, Now Im older, and Robin is one of my favourite Comedian Actors, I can tell his voice. I am not a fool, just Ignorant

  • @Mabh95 would explain the "grab a carpet and fly"

  • @Mabh95 You know, everybody says "in the original script."

This is exactly what I assumed as a child. How much more clear could it have been?

  • @Mabh95

It's not the Genie? Woah I learned something today.

  • @Mabh95 AND he's wearing blue and the belt.

  • @Mabh95 Why wasn't he? would you happen to know?

  • @AgentVamp I'm not sure. I think it was just cut from the movie in editing, like Aladdin's mother's song.

On a side note, Disney would have kept the 'where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face' line, but many Arabic Americans who watched the movie took offence. You can hear a vocal change if you listen closely.

  • Salam I love Aladdin my fav disney movie !!!

  • u skipped "o3e too close aah thats better"

  • GUys not all the Arabian are Ugly :D there is still some like aladdin

    with Arabian handsome face

    ((Me))

  • Comment removed

  • Why did they remove the part of too close?

  • i want a carpet like Carpet

  • I was in Morrisons a few day's ago and they had this playing, was happy beyond belief!!

  • I remember this song. At camp I was Narrator 5 in the play and I had to sing this part in front of the whole camp: "And the heat is intense".

  • I love how the first credits go to the songwriters. The music truly made this movie.

  • this gives me chills

  • This has got to be one of my favorite movies. I love this song.

  • This song always creeped me out for some reason... o.o

  • aladdin, best disney movie next to the lion king.

  • @Mitzyclick i think you might be spot on mitzyclick!!

  • What happened to this guy? it would have been cool to cut back to him at the end of the movie

  • @Theriot6592 haha yeah that would have been awesome!

  • @Theriot6592 actually he does a cameo appereance in the King of Thieves, after Jasmine and Aladdin got married..

  • @Theriot6592 Funny you ask. In the original script, he was supposed to reveal himself to be the Genie at the end. How else do you think he knows the entire tale of Aladdin or that he got his hands on the lamp? They are both voiced by Robin Williams. And if you'll notice, there are lots of physical similarities between the two. They both have the same 'stache and twisty goatee, they both "wear" blue with a red waistband, and both are the only characters in the Aladdin universe with four fingers.

  • @DukeDarkshadow Well that would've been an awesome twist, why didnt they do it? D:

  • @BlanketGirly11 I couldn't tell you. Don't know.

  • LOL the captions say when he says "ARABIAN NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHTS! it says piano LOL WTF

  • memories! :'3

  • 0:45 I get goosebumps everytime

  • a.. why did you skip the part at 1:23 ? i loved that ><

  • "Ahh Salam!" hahaha

  • @samewaybricksdont me too!!

  • watching this as a kid i knew that someday i will "take a magic carpet and fly to arabiaaaaan nights" :DD

  • Thumbs up if u sang this song over 1000 times!! :)

  • @RazeBlader18 Indeed, it's found a place in my mind and has settled in nicely.

  • @GmodPlusWoW same for me, bro. :)

  • @RazeBlader18 over 9000!!!

  • @RazeBlader18 a 1001 times to be exact!

  • @RazeBlader18 a 1001 times to be exact :)!

  • @gielomir3 sounds about right! XD!

  • I want these movies again: Original and Animated Muiscals. I mean come on, look at just this movie; everyone knows the tunes to practically every song - Arabian Nights, Friend Like Me, New World, and Prince Ali. Why can't we have these again

  • Still one of my favorite Disney films!

  • It's racist, but hey, it's Disney.

    And how I love it...

  • @Songsinger62 how is it racist?

  • @xpuffybluedragonx too close a little too close therrre..... welkom to agrabah

  • Rikufanboy is pretty much a genie for uploading all of these HQ clips.

  • I have only just realized, if the story teller is talking about Aladdin, and Aladdin set the Genie free then... That lamp probably contains Jafarr YOU DO NOT WANT THAT LAMP

  • @sekirk Jafar's lamp was black. But Genie still has the lamp he's just not a slave anymore. :D

  • @ThisNameIsTakenSukas You have a point there. Touche

  • I still love this film... I was 4 year when it became my favo film... and now I'm 20, I still love it :3.

Where are the times of the real original Disney...

  • @AngelaEvrard The old ones are classics indeed, but that might also be because of being young at that time.. they stay at a sentimental place in my heart :) Although I do have to say that I still enjoy the new ones like Wall-E and Rapunzel.

  • You can hear his voice change when he says "where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense"...I prefer the original line.

  • I wish this song was longer!!!! :D

    ARABIANNNN NIGHTSSSSSS

  • I love Aladdin! The best movie ever! Im 13 and It's still my fav movie

  • Did they change the song? It used to say " Where they cut off your ear if they dont like your face" or was that on the series?
