Buzzcocks under Amstell was fascinating. Like watching a slowly crashing plane. In a hilarious way. One of the more unique panel show experiences I've seen. Bill and Phil faded right into the background though and it did get macabre at times. A showcase for Amstell psychologically disembowelling people. Under Lamarr it looked quite a lot of fun.
The fact that Bill left (and didn't seem very complimentary about the show after) and Phil said that he almost left too, shows that it was a much better formular under Mark's rule. Mark made it up to a cult show and Simon continued it but then tore it down.
I liked Simon a lot, but he destroyed the show in the end and that's why it's like it is now. No decent guests would come on because they were scared to. I much prefer Lamarr. He was a smarter comedian and didn't invite people on specifically to rip them to shreds. I prefered Simon on Pop World with Miquita. They were a great double act, since she could keeep him in his place. I think he got a bit power mad on NMTBC.
@neochaos03 Yeah, kind of knew that. But Im backtracking the series as soon as Nick uploads them. Then, all of the sudden I realized that Amstell is so much better as a host.
And thats when I felt a void where my heart used to be. So now Im downing a bottle of booze while singing "Danny Boy". Cheers

My fave part was laughing at Lamarr's hairstyles through the years at the end

I do prefer Amstell to Lammar but I'd take either of those legends over the whole guest host every week thing they do now.

... but Bowie's wearing an eyepatch. That's Halloween Jack, not Ziggy Stardust...
