Whos the ****tard that claimed music on this video. It has to be BMG because they are the only bastards on here that seem to go after people. Sorry kev, it was a great video.............
While in Southern Gospel music there are several super bass singers, not to take anything from them, but George Younce is in my opinion the BEST ever.
On the "Land of Living" project there is a song called, "I Believe I Live for Him." George goes to the basement and then a little lower on that one. Check it out sometime.
i also was under the impression that kirk wrote the song without the bass part, but liked how george filled in and kept it,but that george was responsible for the bass part. regardless it was a very good song.
I actually have watched all of your videos and I enjoy them tremendously. In fact, your videos are actually what inspired me to make this compilation. Thanks for all the great posts. Keep 'em coming!
I think it probably is. I have about 90-95% of the songs recorded by the Cathedrals and George since 1981 and that is the lowest I have heard from him.
The note George hit is an Eb1. It is 4 notes from the bottom of the piano, and yes it is the lowest note he hit on any recording. He was truely the greatest bass of all time.
@kevrobster if I remember right (in a cats reunion video on youtube) Kirk Talley said that he wrote the bass part for George on step into the water... which is probably why nobody can ever sing it quite as good as he did!
awesome i cant wait to hear george in heaven and to shake his hand. TRUELY a wonderful person.

Would anyone know if that last note on "Love of The Lord" is the lowest note George ever recorded?

Danny wrote He's my Lighthouse and he wrote that part just for George.

Did Kirk Talley also write the bass part to Step Into the Water with George in mind?
kevrobster 3 years ago
My understanding that George started doing the repeats on this himself and Kirk loved it.

Yes, Kirk did right that part for George, as he said on the Reunion video.
