I don't think it's supposed to be Cthulhu, my guess would be Nyarlathotep by the human size and reminds me of a shadowy version of him in the story 'Nyarlathotep'. If this is actually supposed to be after DCotE then I'd immagine Cthulhu isn't gonna be doing much for a while considering what happened to half his work force in that game.

nope dcote scared the sh!t out of me because the lack of weapons and ammo now that i have a weapon i can shoot i will live no problem thats why the only horror games that only scared me were penumbra series, amnesia and coc dcote. Even after i had waponds it still scared me like hell in dcote

Dunno you have 3 CoC games so far the first 2 being adventure games from the 90's but you also have alot of lovecraft games.

The most recent one is amnesia it isnt based on any lovecraft story but the setting and mechanics are pretty lovecraft like sanity, player being powerless etc...

Just do the google search you will find lots of games.

This game got cancelled. Too bad, the story line is quite interesting to me but the gameplay still need to be improved. I just wish someone will help them finish this game. The Dark Corner Of The Earth still give me some nightmares about the dark tomb and those fucking villagers. Anyway, sad.

Hmmm, last time they based it off Shadow over Innsmouth and Shadow Out of Time. This one looks like it would've had a Charles Dexter Ward feel. The monsters look like the composite things Curwen raised.

And the thing at the end reminded me of Nyarlathotep.

DCoE was they're first big project, it doesn't do them any good rehashing another game, plus dont forget DCoE was a massive undertaking that took years to do, so a change of pace would have done them a world of good if the company didn't go under, plus Resident Evil 4 was very popular at the time so copying the play style of a winning formula doesn't hurt,

@TheSamuel1115 Bethesda was the publisher. The developper was Headfirst. They tanked in early 2006. This trailer's probably from early development, hence not looking too good. Unfortunately, without this, we'll have to wait a long time before we get more high-profile Cosmic Horror games (Eternal Darkness 2's in development hell) unless you count indie eurogames like Penumbra and Amnesia. Or a few Weird Japanese Games.
