Debra, it's great to see you on this youtube clip. I was researching jewelry making on the internet and you popped up....what a nice surprise. Where are are you at these days? I'm in SLO. Hope all is well. Looks like your post was a few years back. Not sure if you will read this or not.
Thanks... This video is very informative and helpful!! My earrings are selling pretty well but I'm always looking for ways to improve and get my name out there more.
latterrox i have been a jeweller for 16 years and i can tell you now you have no talent and will fail at everything you do!. You should just give up now. I fucking hate you, i know what you did to my dog. i will never forget neither will fluffy. She still isn't walking right. Hey btw what is your fave cheese. i like bree
Really good tips - thank you for making this video and good luck with your business. I'd highly recommend anyone going into this area to check out etsy.com - see what's being made/sold and how it's being presented online (e.g. photos, descriptions, pricing). It's important to do some research - and keep doing it - as you start and grow your business. Jewelry trends are always changing, so make it part of your routine to keep up.
im just about opening my own online store where i sell homemade jewellery, candles, cosmetisc. if you are interested in, putting your products on sale, contact me, lets talk!

Hello there! I just wanted to say that your jewelry is all truly beautiful and unique. ^^ I am looking forward to the day when I finally purchase some beading wire to help myself out...
I started making jewelery when I was 10. It took a while to get use to, but you just have to explore and play around with different things. You can buy bead magazines and they'll often have a couple tutorials in them and advice etc... It was a hobby of mine and I liked the fact that I could also make money from it by selling it at a couple fairs. One good way to promote your jewelery is to have a relative wear it around when she (or he) goes out.
That depends on the kind of wire your looking for?First look on line at different types of wire such as types of metal gold gold filled gold plated silver silver plated copper etc also what you will use it for will tell you what you need hard soft semi hard round square etcStart small with the wire you can get at michaels craft store they have different colored wire.If its beading wire you can get it there also &walmart has some cheep beading wire as you learn you can go up to the better stuff.
Oh one short note! Make sure you have very good natural lighting too they make the natural light lamps there a bit pricy but wait till they have a sale on it. And make sure you dont bead for hours on end it can be hard on the eyes! And lastly? This hobbie can become expensive unless your a dealer then you get a discount at some of the bigger stores that sell only beads etc. If you sell try to stay off ebay bad storys bout that, plus about selling on line is you dont have to pay tax on it. :)
There are a number of places to get the supplys. Michaels and Jo-Anns craft stores, Walmart has a beading section too. As you get better there are other bead stores, you have to look on-line for stores in your home town and also you can order them on line. Personaly I like seeing the stuff I'm getting up close and personal so I stick to stores close by when I can. Also try garage and yard sales to find some already made stuff you might want to restring too. Hope that helps some? :)
Try checking the local library for beading books and arts and crafts books some show you how you can use almost anything to make jewelry and ask if they have any bead or craft making video tapes. You can get some pretty good ideas on designs that way too. Thats how I started making jewelry too. :) Happy beading! :)
Great videos I enjoy all of them. I was wondering if you have an email or some sort of communication you are willing to share other then this comment board on youtube?
