I have all of the episodes, wonderful to see again after watching them 30 years ago.

Loved this series. Clifford Rose is simply brilliant as the cold calculating Gestapo Sturmbannfuhrer Ludwig Kessler. In series 3 he gets promoted to Standartenfuhrer and finally escapes after capture. The 1981 sequel 'Kessler' is also worth watching.

why was the UberLeutanet so reluctant to do what kessler asked him to? Was he too shy to look at dead bodies? I cant believe that, you cant be a high ranking German officer before you killed many and saw many bodies.

I agree, think "Second Chance" is my favourite episode of this series but the finale is pretty good too. Hope to post that in the next two weeks or so.

Thank you for posting this episode. I really like this, "Second Chance" and "Good Friday". I confess that those three epsodes are the best of the first series.
