For a pedal called "grunge", it doesn't sound very grunge. Sounds good, don't get me wrong, and I'm not insulting your skills (you're much better than I am, lol). Just not a very grunge sound. But you work it good ;)

Anytime I've played the grunge it feels more like a 'metal' pedal. Honestly, grunge had considerably more texture and I remember the chorus effects more, this pedal seems miss named.

The pedal is called ,"Grunge" so I would expect that you would demo it for its intended purpose grunge music. In other words play a nirvana song like teen spirit or in bloom or something by a grunge band.

well whatever but you usually give something like that a name and its name specifies its purpose. Such as the digitech delay pedal for example. You don't buy a delay pedal expecting a wah pedal. Its the same thing with this pedal.

There's a huge difference between an effects pedal and distortion pedal.

lol... a distortion pedal is an effects pedal, the only difference is the catagory of effects. for exacmple: overdrive+distortion, reverbs+delay, modulation (which includes flanger, chorus, auto-wah, tremelo) and equalizers. These are all effects pedals, just different types. Some pedals do more than others, but all of them do different things. None are more important than the other, it's just how and which YOU would want to use that makes the difference

why is distortion an effect? well think of it this way... is your natural clean tone of guitar distorted? NO, it's not, therefore distorting the sound would be placed as an effect wether onboard in the amp or in a seperate pedal. if you didn't understand that i will put it in a different way. have you used photoshop? photoshop has a vast filter effects gallery, one of the effects you can add to a picture is distortion. Since the original is dry, distortion is saw wet, and therefore is an effect.

I picked up one of these pedals dirt cheap used a year ago, its one of the old ones I think (instead of regular labels on the knobs, its got "Butt" and "Face") It very can not make this sound. I mainly use it in my effects chain to create some serious feedback and chainsaw buzz for grunge songs, I use a metalzone or Ds-1 and 2 for distortion, boosted with OD-1

Well I have the Boss Ds-1 and i've been able to get a RHCP, Weezer, Nirvana, Metallica, and Pearl Jam sound out of it. This is the only distortion pedal i have and it was on sale at guitar center for $70.

hey I need some help... I plugged another power supply and now it doesn't sound cool. I used it with that power supply almost for a year or even more and now the led doesn't turn on and the sound sucks! any suggestions? thanks
