  • the best music ever. I remember i randomly turned it on my friends hacked xbox with a billion roms and this...blew my mind....

  • 100 synthesized . No PCM audio.

  • 7.05, the giant crab thing from movie The Mist, near its ending. :D

  • MOTHER OF GOD! I saw a bunch of sega games on sale on Steam, so I went downstairs to look through my old sega collection and I found this game and was like... "is this that freaking amazing game I'm thinking of?" And sure enough, came on youtube, and yeah this game is awesome! So many memories

  • Does this game have Co-op? I'm trying to find a shooter that was for the genesis that has where two people can play at the same time.

  • @DanielFriedman It sure does!

  • @1whoistornapart Is one of the rules to the game that if you get hurt once you die?

  • I read online that japanese version has an extra Bio ship n its a dragon.

  • this was the illest game

  • I remember I used to go to my friend's house back in the day and we would play this on 2 player for hours. It was cool to see it again.

  • lmao ,waz playin dis wit my cuzins just yesterday on my wii system !

  • tHUMBS UP IF U THINK THE THINGS @ 6:08 LOOK LIKE DOO DOO!

  • ive had this since i was six and still love it

  • This game was great... Such nice memories...

  • This game is I N S A N E. How did I miss this?!

  • this game is strangely beautiful.

  • Geez...my brother and I played this game all the time. I was almost always the purple shelled dolphin, and my brother usually picked the orange and blue flyer.

He would play that game again if he could find the genesis chords xD

  • So many memories, so many rage quits

  • this game is amazing, so Krazy and the atmosphere and the wii version...

obrigado nintendo por trazer esse game para o brasil, obrigado mesmo

  • Aye, stage 3 always was my favorite. It just felt so long and had such an epic sense to it, like you were in the middle of a movie. Favorite part was midway when you are flying over the green houses and that giant black flying slug just appears out of the main facility.

  • i loved this game so many hours i put into it genesis ftw

  • I remember playing this with my brother back in the day when genesis of nothing to fuck with!!! God dam brings back memories. : )

  • WOW I SAW THIS VID AND JUST BOUGHT THIS GAME ON EBAY AFTER...HOW DID I NOT PLAY THIS WHEN I WAS A KID?

  • @cyclo1224 Nice! Have fun!

  • @cyclo1224 It's an ALL time classic. Not many people knew about it. Great music too!

  • Savestates?

  • @Soundfrequency Nah. I've had this game for almost 20 years! The whole thing is basically memorized. (And I do lose quite a few ships in the later vids.)

  • I did have that game on the genesis long ago until the console broke. I did played on practice when I was younger. Playing it on practice difficulty was a joke and is. I liked the game. I don't how you can beat it on Hardest but it seems you got the skills which the Irate Gamer dosen't. Maybe I could do it but it is hard though. This game was kick ass ahead of its time. Always has and always will.

  • amazing atmosphere i love how sounds this game

  • the music in this game is frickin awesome

  • The main theme of this game sounds almost exactly like the bassline in "Freewill" by Rush. Coincidence?

  • OMG its SPY CRAB at 7:10

  • Stage 3 music is king.

  • Damn, this game brings back some serious memories.

  • this game was AWESOME!

  • Forest Stage Boss = Insanity

If only the bosses of stage 5, 6, and 8 had that kind of creativity in their design...

  • I still get the boss battle music stuck in my head from this game.... about 10 years after I played it!

  • omg used to love this game when i was like 4!

  • Oh man, my youth right there!

  • Bullshit reviews, but this game costed me 80 bucks when it FIRST came out. 2-d Polygon was JUST getting started.

  • sweet memories. darius burst for psp is awsome too

  • This games art really is awsome. There are so many bland shooters, but every once in a while you come across one thats really good.

  • even to this day, this game is still pretty challenging

  • Oh man, I loved this game so much

  • Some people say that the Mega Drive had the poorest sound chip of the time, but with music like that, I think not.

  • @TOJoe3000 You're right.

  • @TOJoe3000 What is so good about this?

  • @TOJoe3000 Who said that?, YAMAHA's FM soundchips where the most successfull thing on earth. Check the Yamaha DX7 or SoundBlaster soundcards.

  • Fucking nostalgia blast; thanks for posting this.

  • 2:40 spermatozoons ? ;))

  • I loved this game! XD Wish I got the version with the Dragon Bio code though. I wanna try it. :P

  • uzivao sam u muzici, svvaka cast za klip >)

  • stage 3 is my fav i got fuck up by the crab

  • haha brings back so many memories

i remember the feelin of bein scared when i hear the boss music because i knew that when i faced any boss past level 2, i was gonna die atleast once lol

  • MY arms hair still gets spiky when i hear the start of the music in 1st stage... its like a voice in my head saying.. "welcome to the Express for Hell"!!

  • i used to play this with my dad!

im looking for all these older games for sega on youtube but i cant remember my ultimate fav game, it was with a futuristic car with a turbo afterburner on the back, when u drove well it started glowing blue and you went in super speed. its for the genesis, can anyone help me out plz!?

  • Yeah I used to play this a lot with my dad too, but he was partially color blind so he would sometimes ask me what bubble to get or not get.

    Great times.

On a side note, this guy has some fucking skill

  • outrun 2019 maybe?

  • yeah man thats exactly it! i found it already by fluke on youtube but thanks!!

  • Certainly one of the most impressive looking shooters ever made for it's time. Still very freaky and nasty like I remember it. Played for the first time in 1993 when I was 6 and my bro got a Sega Genesis.

  • i used to play this when i was a kid i loved it!!

  • I remember this game. And I remember totally pwning it lol

  • They should make a remake on the Wii for this and still have that Evil biohazardly music this game has.

Last level on hardest omg such pain in the as sit was lol xD

  • all the levels are so colorful and creative, it's so amazing! i miss that game

  • Thank you for uploading these man. One of the profiles on youtube had these videos but they got deleted for some reason. Takes me back to my youth when I played this game, Mortal Kombat I and III, and Mercs, all on the Sega Genesis.

  • The soundtrack gives me shivers down the spine. lol

  • awesome game, does the little gun sattilite absorb shield you from damage/absorb it?

  • It blocks those little red bullets from hitting you, yes. However, large bullets like the ones fired from the cannons on Stage 2 and some boss projectiles will go right through it.

Also, if you can manage to get it inside of an enemy it will inflict massive damage, but that's usually too risky. I use that trick to quick-kill the cannons in Stage 2 and the bipedal crab thing in Stage 3.

  • Wow, this game is epic as shit. Im gonna make my neighbor get this one as well...

  • holy shit

    this game rapes

  • This looks excellent. And I agree, it's reminiscent of Gunstar Heroes, mostly because of how the weapon power-ups look.

  • It reminds me a lot of Gunstar Heroes actually.

  • I plan on doing a Gunstar Heroes run sometime in the near future. That game is one of my all-time favorites!

  • that's a welcome change in your videos

  • Looks kinda like R-Type, only the option thingamabob follows you around.
