  • I know how to play that string skipping patter u go from strings 1 to 3, 2 to 4, 3 to 5, 4 to 6..

i learned it on the Speed Kills2010 from MAB. as he would say with this technique u sound like ur all over the place.

    Good job!

  • Damn, very nice sir.

  • lmao at everyone dumbass talking about soul and emotion here. noise.

  • ow fuck, youre genius gitarist with great ideas, i bet youre gonna be heard!

  • Wow....

  • am i the only one who feels this guy looks like sam worthington?

  • i learned that string skipping lick from him a few months back. its really fun to do, sounds awesome and i use it in my runs, cool lick dude

  • Yeah!

  • you rock!

  • It's Bill from true blood?

  • in every shredding video, someone will complain about "no feeling, not soulful" and stuff, seriously people, it's not THE ONLY THING one must expect from listening to music, sometimes it's something else to be interested in, you know?

  • I have that guitar!

  • shit!!

  • Did you learn how to play that by ear?? Just curious cause i'd love to get that fast!

  • sounded much better when he played slow

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • michael "betcha cant play this."..*you play it* michael "betcha can play this"

  • thumbs up if you were going to like this

  • I want to rate this man! Thumbs up but I can't...

  • i bet u can play this

  • Not with the soul Michael Angelo puts in it, but really badass!

And that distortion is just perfect, nice guitar man!

  • nice:D

  • 10 out of 5

  • string skipping FTW! :D

  • you bet i cant play this xD

  • u should enable ratings, this is great! good job.

  • This is fantastic! I want to try to learn this technique. Is there a tab anywhere that has something like this?

  • i think the lick would sound better slower. but that has nothing to do with your awesome video.

  • Not bad at all.

    \m/

  • that is sick... sounds so clean, excellent string skipping, very accurate.

  • i think MAB doesn't bet anymore that people can't play this

  • wow!

  • 0:21 you scared me dude f ing awesome im training to be a guitarist too and im doing good using troy stetina lead guitar

  • 0:21 you scared me dude f ing awesome im training to be a guitarist too and im doing good using troy stetina lead guitar

  • pretty much when u write something u know exactly what ur doing so for say if i wrote somethiung at 450 bpm i dont think anyone else could play it but me...

  • @EnragedImp That's not true at all, anyone can play something regardless of whether or not they wrote it. All it takes is practice. Oftentimes if you practice enough, you can become better at playing something than the original composer.

  • dude if you play something realy fast theres no passion in it i mean its ok to play a bit of the solo using flypicking but slow down a bit through

  • faster

  • WOW at that end bit your little finger was nothing but a blur , that was quality !

  • Damn!!!!!!

  • yes.. it's easy to play fast.. but it's not easy to play fast & clean & even more without looking at the guitar...

and finally, it's so easy to say it, but it's not easy to do it..

  • this is fuckin awesome

  • FUCK, dude, your awesome, at first i thought like.. a bit slow. but then you sped it up and im like FUCK!

  • jesus, speed it up a bit that was so boring

  • Niallphillips: fuck you!! that is fast and he doesn't even look at the fucking guitar when he is playing!!

  • @MetalChild96 i think niallphillips was only attempting a joke. but he failed

  • That was damn cool dude

  • omg

  • DAMN!!!

  • There, Batio is still about speed. Everybody can do that lick, but not at this speed. Look at Chris Broderick with his 30 fingers tapping, or at Michael Romeo with his tapping with big jumps, those

  • What is in the water over there?

This guy is like Malmsteen's younger brother. Appreciate the intense speed, but I can't do it. Hard to be accomplished at all styles. This guy seems to be able to compose & write his own exceedingly well done compositions. This shows he is not a mere bedroom copy artist. A real talent here. I also appreciate the slow hand technique and feeling as I am older. Even Satch and Vai know how to slow it down, a touch of speed should be for dramatic crescendo effect.

  • WAT THA!!!!! YOU ROCK MAN!

  • guitar today is too much based on speed no one appreciates slower beautiful melodies anymore.

  • i beg to differ, i hear people on youtube bitching about how there is no melody in several michael angelo batio, yngwie malmsteen, and tiago della vega videos.

  • depends on where you look, i love fast guitar but i also like slower more melodic stuff too, and i always feel like listening to both, but i know what you mean

  • @justinorville you're not entirely right man... although very much of the famous guitar players that we listen to play fast stuff but i don't think so much of them have lost their melodic and beautiful feel.

  • @justinorville while i agree with you whole-heartedly that guitar is really devolving nowadays.. i wouldnt say that really applies to batio, i mean he was like an 80's speed metal guy, but i heard a few nice melodies from him before :)

  • That was so awesome! i'm learning to play my new guitar now and your video gives me a little hope that I can be almost as good as, when I get older. (im 14 now)

    .../Sami

  • Next MAB or Satriani? ahahahaha hardly, but the guy is pretty good. I think it's his tone that makes you reminded of satri, It's a nice smooth bold tone. but yea, cool vid bro, peace \m/

  • i thought the tone sucked.

  • Micheal batio was talented when it came to shredding but listening to his music gives me a headache

  • awesome bro, personally i thought it sounded awesome when you played it slower

  • Michael Angelo Batio was the guitar player for the 80s metal band Nitro.Awsome playing man.

  • Awsome man!!!

  • nice shreed

  • where you from dude? you are awsome

  • pretty sure hes from sweden I hink i saw that on one of his vids

  • I know it.. im from swe and i can hear his accent

  • Haha of course he's from Sweden!xD look at his name

  • Fucking cool but what the fuck with the tilte? -.-' i mean michael angelo?lol

  • he created it...

  • yah, hes kinda the guy who made the song...

  • Michael Angelo Batio is from the 80s metal band Nitro.Check him out on youtube.

  • no thats the original writer i think

  • You dont know who MAB is? He is the top guitarist. check out his vids. he can do some insanely cool stuff.

  • awesome!

  • what???

  • Fun to watch!

  • Why are the ratings disabled? Was going to give 5 stars :)

  • keep SHREDING!

  • nice!

  • you make me sick! LOL!!! awesome!!!!

  • i can do that just not as clean as you do you must have practiced this forevverr

    sounds awesome

  • get the fuck out of here

    that's amazing

  • flawless

  • i know it's difficult to play and respect to the speed - but who else thinks that really fast solos lack soul?

  • i'd have to agree on some cases. nothing beats a good, soulful lead, no matter how fast.

  • @Gons83 Steve Vai - For the Love of God

  • i know that you posted this 2 months ago but i think you should take a look at Guthrie Govan (listen to "Fives" or "Waves") and Shawn Lane (listen to "Gray Pianos Flying")

  • tell him like it is my friend!

  • @oiseauxdughetto fast doesn't mean without soul. many fast solos are, but many aren't, don't you think? check the sixpounder's 2nd solo out! that's really fast, but full of emotions as well

  • @oiseauxdughetto have u ever heard a necrophagist solo? i dont think so

  • @oiseauxdughetto except for john petrucci :)

  • @oiseauxdughetto Soul is only there if the listeners can imagine it.

  • @oiseauxdughetto yeah that is true but some musicians actually pull it off

  • @oiseauxdughetto except steve vai and joe satriani

  • @oiseauxdughetto I agree with you, but not all music has to be about soul. like, this was just something that was supposed to be crazy hard to play, not soulful.

  • @oiseauxdughetto Well....it depends on what your definition on soul is, if its making orgasm faces then thats fine. However... just because someone isnt making those faces dosent mean they are playing with soul. People express themselves differently, sometimes through speed and accuracy. Also, people that bash on fast players usually cant play fast themselves (im not saying you were bashing) If your going to be critical of something....make sure you can do what you criticizing.

  • @42littlebit I think he meant the actual music solo itself. He's just saying that speed is fine but technique makes all the difference.

  • @42littlebit I think he meant the actual guitar solo itself. He's just saying that speed is fine but technique makes all the difference.

  • @oiseauxdughetto fast solos dont lack soul, were just playing what flows best with the song, and depending on the style u play, that can sometimes get pretty fast.

  • @oiseauxdughetto well, it's true if the solo is 100% speed

  • @oiseauxdughetto listen to Buckethead

  • @georgo342 ya he plays fast, and has a lot of emotion in his playing. probably my fav guitarist

  • @oiseauxdughetto Saying that playing under a certain speed only restricts creativity, one could say not bending lacks soul too or anything outside the C major scale, but then everyone would sound exactly the same and end self expression entirely you could say "I dont like fast solos" but asking anyone to forget trying express themselves for something that lies entirely on the ear of the beholder is silly, I Dont like songs with a half time feel but that doesnt mean they lack anything

  • @oiseauxdughetto Not necessarily true... I believe some songs do need that fast shred in there to set off the moment in the song...so I do believe some fast solos DO in fact have some soul in many degrees : D

  • Is It an ESP GT Forest?

  • Wow! Show MAB how it's done!!!

  • This guy is prolly better than half of you out there. Kepp rockin Peter =)

  • awsome

  • 5/5

    or short: nice!

  • this is very very nice. of course, not many people could say it isn't, because few people can play it, let alone that well. haha. nice work :)

  • :O....holy that's fast....I love your videos!

  • good use of the echo effect......not like some of the other crap on you tibe

  • lol you tibe?

    wtf tibe?

  • he is right i cant

  • pretty good, but i can play fade to black by metallica all the way through. its pretty fun

  • lol. being able to play fade to black is balls all compared to this. Not saying it isn't good, just you ought to get off your high horse. If you'd left the 'but' out, then it'd have been fine, but your acting as though playing fade to black is more impressive that this, which it isn't. Hate to be so condescending, but that's just the way it is.

  • Playing "Fade to Black" by Metallica is more difficult than this in my opinion. However when learning music, nothing is difficult, it's just tedious. I've been playing guitar for over ten years, and I can tell you, and any other real guitarist will agree: "shredding" is the easiest aspect of playing. I'm not trying to be condescending either, I'm just stating the facts. I could easily learn this piece within fifteen hours, it's not a matter of being hard, it's just whether or not you're willing.

  • i played guitar for about 2 months and can play all of fade to black but i cant do this

  • ur bullshit

  • you do make a very valid point. Musicians can do almost anything with their fingers at anytime they want to. it is just that person holding themselves back. if the practices they could play stuff like this or better.

  • yea fade to black is easier compared to what MAB can do. He is insane and this guy could very well be the next MAB or Satriani

  • First, that song's not as difficult as that little lick he just played. Second, nobody on Youtube cares what you can supposedly play unless you put up a video.

  • to bad we aint playin it on guitar hero it dosnt matter this guys still better then that

  • fade to black aint shit compared to this

  • Good guitar, men congratulations

  • You've given me new hope to continue as a guitarist! lol Great job.

  • This is very impressive and I love your tone.

  • that's awesome dude.

great work, love the tone too.

  • I'm using Line6 GuitarPort with the Bogner Uberschall model.

  • nice effects? are you useing pedals? or do you have a beringer amp or something? I had one before,And i could get that kind of effect.

  • i have one...its oretty easy to get this sound

  • wow impressive im only 14 and i can dude dat aswell but u have better tone.

  • sure you can

  • I knew a guy back in my hometown that was like 12 and played Malmsteen perfectly (he was the younger brother of a guitarist so his life was about guitars). So yeah, it may be true at 14.

  • Hey dude, it's possible. Look at Becker. But i seriously doubt bcrich77 can play this.

  • I bet your right.

  • Realy great and perfect playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your tone is nothing short of fabulous.

  • OO wow! no THATS wast! :SD

  • That was fast. I noticed your comment on my site. wow it was a year ago. you ok? that was fast hope you still jamming. i got a new Ibanez. enjoying it. I am older so i only play the slower laided back stuff working on learning more BB KIng style as I can not use my pinky ring that much due to health. but i still love practicing. I am going to write a song soon got chords worked out and most of the words just got to arrange it now.

  • Holy crap.. i gotta try that sometime :P

  • Good to see a young dude playing a real guitar and not that guitar hero shit.....ROck on dude...

  • hey GH is also pretty cool :P

  • meh... its a pity this guys insists on playing everything too fast and too technical... it makes it sound rubbish... the first one was much better when he played it slow... it actually sounded decent... second sounded like a noise my gameboy would make when i lose at tetris.................

  • Did you use Metal Method....^_^

    ...either way, I'm thoroughly impressed.

  • nice tone
