Hi this looks just like what I need. I have used data merge with csv file but i need to use the data in a more flexible way. I have a problem with a report I'm trying to create.

It is a school report and there are elements that are repeated a little like your books with the same format. I also have lots of subjects and not all pupils take all subjects so I don't want subject they don't take , to be viewed. I 'm not sure how you set up this document with the tags. any help would be great

Nice. I'm attempting to do the same thing with Indesign and haven't had much luck importing the XML. Seeing it is possible has given me hope.
