Funky? no Trendy? yes I agree with emmy0323 - you won't find many hotels in Athens like this. I stayed at the Grand Bretagne in 1998 when Greece was on the Drachma. It was very affordable then. The GB is a grand hotel, very elegant, but not as trendy as the Hilton. Last year we stayed at the Attalos - it's a C class hotel, but we loved it. The people were very nice there and the clientele existed on a lot of college students and people like us who were trying to save a US buck against the Euro!

i dont think this bloke has stayed in any good "FUNKY" hotels.Must of had a wank over a normal hotel room.I think he needs to go to a real 5star hotel not a chain.Then he may see real luxury and "FUNKY".

Huge, funky and trendy repeated really doesn't sound like an imaginative review.

If I were to review that room I would say it has a nice view, small balcony, small room, decent bed, good en-suite and plain decor. In all, what I would expect of a 3*.

I am British and some of the best hotels I've stayed in are tiny family run townhouse hotels. Stunningly beautiful and personal.

haha well if the 3 star hotels ive stayed in looked like that i would be blown away by them. why does everyone pick on the chain hotels? not all of them are cold and impersonal. many of the newer ones and revamped ones have a lot of character and personality. this hilton room looks very comfortable and 'trendy'.

Well, you won't find those in Athens. And you will NOT find a room like this in a 3* hotel. Anywhere.

Athens hotels are a tricky thing and if you're a regular tourist, meaning you're not filthy rich, you won't be able to afford the good ones. Let alone the great ones. I would imagine he paid a pretty big load of money for that room.

nothing wrong with chain hotels. especially hiltons. i agree though. sometimes the small ones blow you away with house personal and luxurious they are. that said, the room in the video looks very funky for a hilton. no need to be rude.
