I actually love this gun. Definitely my favorite with the dual revolvers. I call it my cowboy class, and it kicks ...you know what! It is by far the best shotgun, and all you need to do is use your noggin with it. It is one of the most fun guns in the game, and I like the fun guns. This and the M14 are what I consider fun guns.

No, its the worst shotgun in the game no matter how you look at.

RIDICULOUS reload time + two shells only

It has the worst range of any gun

CoD is notorious for bad hit detection and lag

No matter how good you are this will happen:

2 hitmarkers, even if you're standing on the guy

Shells will magically go through/around player

If you don't kill them with those 2 shots you're fucked unless you panic knife

Just because you can get a kill with a gun doesn't make it a good gun.

@Westile It has the best range of all shotguns. The shells miss only when you miss, what a concept. Play Hardcore and it's a one shot kill. If you are skilled enough you can reload quick enough to fire again. I've been using the shotgun for a long time, and it's easily my favourite and it is very effective. Just get some skill and it'll work for you too.

You missed my point (and lol using HC as an argument). I can run around and get a 3 KDR with a pistol, Olympia, n Uzi - that doesn't mean its a good gun; you have to look at it from a technical standpoint and you'll see it's the worst shotgun in the game. And if you manage to empty two shots and get a reload on one person then you're playing against scrubs (and Sleight of Hand =/= Skill).

@DrunkCashews I agree that many ghosts are campers. I don't consider myself one. I play ghost/steady aim/ninja w/ olympia just so I can run into battle and catch people off guard. I love shooting from a foot away instead of knifing. It's trolling. Camping removes the joy from the game.

i was recently playing black ops over the weekend and i was on SnD on nuketown i was in the window of the yellow house and some guy on the other house on the blue house window tried hitting me with a olympia... amazingly he got a hitmarker?!?!!? THE FUCK!?i didn't know what he was using in game cause he shot and like 6345 bullets came out like the sparks so i went to theater and i laughed for 1 hour litteraly straight. so i eventually rec it. OK THIS is because again he didn't do the real world weapon thing. The Olympia is a Remington Model 332 over-under double barrel shotgun in production from the late 1800's to the present. It has no real world or in game attachments and has a unique break action and like any double barrel shotgun, it only has two rounds before a reload, but makes up for it by being very powerful.
