So I see a huge amount of work but for what? yyou're calling it a pro street but it after 2 years since the original video, theres no evidence of racing...street or strip.

I don't see the practicality of this build unless it's on the the strip running sub 8's because any proper built 4 banger in the same chassis can get 8's if not quicker. I don't get it.

Nice job. I really love the wheels. I'm assuming they are Crager S/Ss, they look tall, are they 18s? Its more than a V-8 in a Beetle that makes it cool, that thing is oozing with character. You say that people scratch thier heads and ask why? I say why not?

Hi, Thanks for the Kind words. yes they are cragar ss forged 1 piece alumnum. weld wheels made these for cragar a few years back and i have never seen another set like these! pretty rare. the front are 15x5 and the back are 15x14. just recently switched rear tires. was running 29x18.50x15 mickey thompson sportsman pros, they worked good for street but im running 31x18.50x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pros now. They alot more bitier and i plan on doin some racing this year! Thanks

Hey, no i dont have anymore vids of the car right now but i will come spring/ summer time. the car is currently stripped setting in bare metal and soon to be in black primer or Paint. not sure yet. Also getting a new Heart Transplant!

Hi, Thanks for the Comments on the VW! The Car had 2 750 Holley Double pumpers that i had bought off of Big Als Toy box that were traded in but he said he thought they had some work done on them, so they coulda been flowed to 950's but with 750 Part Numbers. I put on a set of Regular 750 double pumpers that have not been modified and the car seems to be working really good so far. Its def a big diff. Oh and I Run only Holley Carbs, Only Performance Carb out there to me.

what did you do about the major weight transfer from the rear to the front. is the 4 cylinder still in the back? i see the original pipes stickin out the rear.

the weight balance is off, no doubt about it, a bunch of weight hanging off the front end. wasnt really a whole lot to do about it without comprimising leg room, im 6'5 200 lbs so i need all the room i can get. the car does hook up pretty well to be honest. NO 4 cylinder in the rear, the pipes are for looks. It is alittle loud but not to bad. has 3 " bullet race mufflers on it. Thanks for the Comment!

seriously crazy, im wondering about doing something like that myself, but using either a peugeot 106 or 306 [the more likely] bodywork, ive spotted with v8s in small cars and dragsters that theyve only got a 3 speed automatic, is this the only automatic which could take the power / torque of the engine because im thinking 5 or 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic.

whats the advantage of it being driven 1 to 1? i thought the unbalanced ratio of the drive belt from a supercharger is what gives the boost?

The advantage of it being driven 1 to 1 is that the blower is turning the same speed as the mOtor which Means MORE AIR being forced into the motor, which in Turn Means MORE POWER. Every tooth on the pulley that you change is 3 Percent of Drive. 1 to 1 is just a Nice Streetable Combo on pump gas and Nice Power. You can overdrive or Underdrive, its just what you prefer.
