He puts a lot of emphasis on a theme that is THE central tenet of my religion, the Baha'i Faith: unity. With his accent on unity and cohesion I hope he will be able to build bridges between the different components of American society and make Americans feel proud of their nation.

That's interesting you say that since the Irish have used as inspiration people like Ghandi, Mandela and King during our civil rights era. One famous Irishwoman gave the award the city of NY gave her to the Black Panthers in the 1970's as a sign of common struggle and oppression. They quickly condemned her and removed her award, needless to say.

If you really look at the man's history you'd see he has done a great deal to be a president. His approach in Iran different then what we're supposed to believe is the right way, by opening the lines of communication with Iran. I am voting for Barack but, no matter who wins in November 2008 in January 2010 (one year after inauguration) either Barack or McCain will be explaining to the American people why 10,000's of troops are still in Iraq.

What a beautiful speech. I was especially proud of his remarks in reference to General Petraeus. I support MoveOn, but I did not support this ad and apparently neither did Obama. OK so I'm a republican and I say Obama gets owned on the issue of patriotism by McCain. At least he's trying. He flip floped on his position but i don't care. I don't really want McCain to win either.

As a Baha'i (from Switzerland) I am abstaining from party politics. However, I may still advance my personal preference for a particular candidate. I enthousiastically endorse the candidacy of Obama. He puts a lot of emphasis on a theme that is THE central tenet of my religion, the Baha'i Faith: unity. With his accent on unity and cohesion I hope he will be able to build bridges between the different components of American society and make Americans feel proud of their nation.

Barack Obama is the only thing that potentially stands in the way of America sliding backwards into history. If he needs to make political moves to defeat McCain, it is a small price to pay for saving America from the Neo-CON artists, that will run it the rest of the way into the ground if McCain is elected.

Notice that he states a series of facts, then calls those facts "questions". Simple mistake? Not when you consider how much speech writers are paid to manipulate the audience. How can he address patriotism when he turns his back to the flag when the national anthem is played? This is truly a dangerous man.

I hope that Obama wins the presidential elections. He is different from other candidates. His policy is clear and well-structured. He knows exactly how to change the fate of America and the American people. What I like most in him is his personality, his moderate judgments and the fact that he listens to people and exchange views with them.

I don't hate McCain, I don't want to find something to hate about him... I just really love Obama, and I'm voting for him for that reason.
I am truly proud that I can say I am voting for someone not out of fear, but out of love and respect.

where in any of his policy have you seen his interest in changing gun policy? There are far more important issues to worry about. Unlike this current administration, he is concerned about our Constitutional rights and protections.
