its nice to see others with the same problems as me.social anxiety has ruined my life.i try harder and harder each day to get rid of it.i have liked someone for 2 years and havent had the courage to ask her out yet.....sigh.i would do anything to rid of it 4ever.i feel bad for ur story.

Yes, I too have had many oppurtunities, but failed at every one. My closest was in eleventh grade, where some girl actually gave me a note (like young girls do when they like somebody) where she said she wanted to...do something with me ;)

She even wrote her phone number in there, and yet I somehow managed to even mess that one up...

i used to have really bad social anxiety with girls but actually youtube has made me more comfortable and confident with social life stuff.

I just jump into conversations with people so i forget that im scared.

You're not alone in the whole not ever having dated before. I believe it was truly possible for me to have been in several relationships in high school, but either I didn't really think much about it or if I did then the anxiety would kick in everytime. Although it wasn't as bad back then as it is now.

It's always nice to know you're not alone in something. A friend I have has never dated anyone either. And he's told me before that he knows someone who is a little older than us and has never had a girlfriend.

You're lucky. I was so goofy looking in high school that I doubt I would have had a chance with anyone. Although, I did notice some slight similarities between your experiences and mine.

Opportunities don't come up very often and when they do anxiety usually gets in the way. It sucks.

Yeah, it does suck. Especially since they don't come up very often as you said. However lucky I was or could have been, I wish I would have been able to make myself/been able to do something about it.
