Bought a pair of blue canvas Toms ($44) two weeks ago. Haven't worn them daily, maybe 6 times, and already canvas is wearing out on heel. Have contacted Toms with no response. I am all for helping out others by donating shoes to 3rd world countries, but the shoes should last more than 6 wearings.
@laticiaborgenine wow, um to be honest it started to happen to me..but i wore them more then 6 times, and I walk heavy on my heel, so honestly all of my flats start to break. I wore my Toms consistently...for about a month..thats the given for any shoe I have...soo figure a month and before that I would wear them sporadically..okay im starting to ramble..anyhow it could be the dye.
to take one month of hard core living? the shoes cost 80 dollars you know how many shoes you can buy with just 40 dollars in a third world country? they are ripping you off bro
@D34NM4CH1N3 ok...first to all this shoes are 45 dlrs at Amazon, and if I may ask , what are you doing to help the children from latin america and Africa...I'm from the dominican republic, and yes you can buy a pair fo sandals for 4 or 5 dolars in a flea market here, now...for some one that has to spend 2, 3 years wearing the same pair of shoes every day, and I now people in here that have the need to, I really think is worth it.
Respond to this video... and one more thing, if making the actual shoe cost 15 dlrs and those are some pretty good quality shoes, buying and giving one away makes 30 dlrs, hell I know they're higher priced shoes at toms's store, but how many enterprises you know that give away 40% of they're profit??? GOD think about other and get out of that bubble, of course its a business this people have to live, but it's not pricy and certainly they're helping a lot of people
@bongo2425 there is no need for calling out on names like God and talking about bubbles, that only shows that you are angry because i criticize what you were saying. You say you are from the Dominican republic what are you doing to help your people? I am part of an organization called diaspora and we are looking ways how to better the economical situation of our country Colombia. Sorry if you can deal with criticism. if in one year you have the same opinion of Toms I will respect your position.

Ok this is it i am tired i have to write a blog about this. but first i will comment on your Vlog. People of rich countries or first world coutries, that has never left the safty of your country third world countries are rough. the road are not well paved and the some of them does not have pavement. The majority of the people walk any where they want to go. WHY is this important, these toms bull crap shoes that cannot take one solid year of hard core american walking how the heck do you espect
