we still have bands like foo fighters and Avenged Sevenfold and so on which i like but im more into like late 60s early 70s rock . and our generation sucks dude we all don't get along on music .
So is this the first version to come out? I know the most famous version is the frampton comes alive live track. I love this version, I can hear the bass lines better and the guitar box is awesome!
@panamarockradio sorry pal I'm 15 years old, who lives in a hispanic family and instead of listening to salsa or anything on the radio, when we get together we listen to peter frampton and all the great music from back in the day. i think of my dad with this song
@panamarockradio Hey, I'm 14 and I love Peter Frampton! I love ELO, the Doobie Brothers, Hall and Oates, pretty much any 70's bands and songs. I just don't get how other people my age can take all the auto-tune garbage. Can't spell CRAP without RAP.
@Margaux177 I agree this version is much better than the live. Believe it or not, this song AND "Baby I Love Your Way" were released on 45's about a year before the live ones. I remember hearing these studio versions on the FM "progressive" radio station in 1975 . Frampton was still kind of an underground act till his Live album came out in 76
This was a great time for music. You couldn't turn on Mtv. All we had was Don Kirshner, Supersonic and the Midnight Special. Back during the "Dazed and Confused" era. New Years Eve was always awesome! We appreciated music a lot more and didn't take seeing it played for granted. Jeez, Battle of the Bands at the neighborhood carnival in the summertime was a rockin good time! Part of a bygone era that young people will never experience.
hap i went to a party and played a boston song and the hosts mom came home and found us. instead of kicking us out she started dancing and know has a huge respect for me=)
@jager3135 whats the world coming to when teenagers now seek the respect of parental figures. i hope at least the host now wants to kill you for taking drunken advantage of having common ground with his mom. if not then once again, whats the world coming to.
i love this song,it remimnds me 5 months ago getting u op on saturdasy morning and this song comes on when time life broadcast midnight special late late concert 4 u 2 buy,im 15 and when i go 2 teen parties and clubs they play all the music of today and it sucks i stop going i like goignt o older parties were they place stuff liek this.
todays youth just dont care about good music anymore, this beats any of the other mainstream shit thats written today by miles, coming from a 17 year old i rekon alot more 17 yr olds should apreciate great tunes nowdays
Peter always had a great, subtle plaint to his voice which created a sweet vulnerability to the vocal and was inserted tactfully in each song. But it never went to far into a blues scream or cry (Plant, Coverdale, Joplin). It fit HIS music so perfectly and still does!
Wow I like this better than the live cut. Ilike the production a lot, the vocals are nice and flat/no reverb and really bring out his voice... which I like a lot. Love how his accent comes out -- "Swimming in a circle...." LOL.
@thiede07 You don't have to listen rap at parties. There are plenty of parties where rap music is not played. 20 years old doesn't mean you don't have a choice. You have a choice NOT to attend parties where rap is played. Throw your own party - and bust this out. How about that - 20 years old?
@thiede07 Dude seriously where are the parties with the good music, this rap bullshit is ridiculous, I seriously hate it. I wanna have a good time and jam out.
I know the feeling all the other people my age, 19, listen to pop and i just keep thinking what crap play some zeppelin or something. My dad has a much better taste in music than alot of my friends.
@goblinwarchief21 yea Im 23 and I dont mind listening to alot of the modern music now but I still feel like our generation got fucked over with the music we have!
@atl2maryland music has gone the same way visual art did many years before.. and basically everything else, movies and such, all about the money and not really much left of the soul and longing people had before just to make something that they felt into something beautiful like a song or a good story into a painting, movie etc.
we need to get rid of all the greed and start pouring some soul into art again :(
@davidtausen yea now people cater there music to certain people for the money and fame rather than making heartfelt songs about situations going on in their life. Now music (especially rap) is a fantasy land where every1 is rich, fashionable, and theyve mostly all gone hollywood. Im hoping that 2012 & on will be a reemergence of pure art
@Fiftee1Fiftee I never said it didnt have great music you imbecile. I said I feel like we got fucked over. Every generation has great music. Go hide under a rock with your 70 I.Q. Your comment was completely fucking pointless.
