oh and i got a challenge for all that want to argue that fact find just 1 video on here were you see a honda break anything at all doing this same shit you will be looking for a long time that will be your homework asignement for this year
just type polaris breaking axel here on you tube and just look how many videos pop up it will blow your mind just look at the evidence if you dont think polaris is junk
Someone with a mud-covered ATV should give said ATV to someone who knows how to get out of mud. You certainly don't just pin the throttle and dig yourself in deeper...
It dosent matter what make the atv is, if you took any atv and drove it into a sink pit and spun your tires at 80mph what do you think will hapen when your tires grab a root or a rock ? Its not the atvs fault, At the shop i find most damage on atvs and sleds to be a result of either customer neglect or abuse. Also i find 9/10 times the customers want it repaired for free. LOL "Well you changed my seat cover 8 months ago and now my drive axle broke its your fault."
@Franklin1783 I've heard similar amusing stories from former roommates who've worked in the industry for many, many years about people who have that type of mindset.
@wadie626 i know!!! that bhuizinga dude is dumb, along with whoever liked that comment,if Polaris sucks, why are they the number one in the business? And people cant say they arnt cuz they are everyone knos that!I own Polaris only all through my life and my dads life and We keep buying Polaris,U people kno why?CUZ POLARIS DOESNT EFFIN SUCK! And i have argued about the same situation since ive had a Utube account, and things never seem to change, but oh well i kno what sucks and what dont,Polaris dont
THE POLARIS DOES NOT SUCK!!!!!!....yall are stupid!!!..the guy doesnt kno how to mud plus ive seen other atvs counting out Can am,Polaris, and kawi's Bruteforce break tons of axles if you never got stuk or never broke anything you HAVENT GONE DEEP ENUFF and you ride your atv like a pussy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@19ramcharger92 polairs does brake down alot but the are some of the most injoyable atvs to ride but this gos for any kind of bike u ride if your not wrechen your not riding.they all brake if u ride em hard enough
@Richierich1285 well i just got back from muddin and never had a problem...which im uploadin vids rite now but i agree totally with the second part of what you said!
average begginer move, floor it comin out of a hole and leanin back INTO the mud when the front tires are grabbing hard ground. 2nd is turnin bars franticly waiting for traction and third if its that kinda shit and you aint tryin to prove nothing gettin off the bike it woulda crawled rite out. better luck!
this happends becaus of the rider not becaus polaris sucks i got the same ATV and iv been driving in way more crappy and muddy places like this , that rider was fucking pushing the rear instead of the front and god know if there was a stone in that mud or something ..
@MrBassfishn to tell you the truth i drove alot of atvs in my entire riding career and the brands you dont want are off shore like gio quads or moose quads. only good quads come from artic cat, polaris, can am, suzuki, honda and yamaha. hondas are like tractors i find.
Outer left front C.V? I did the same thing from turning to tight when stuck, basically just poped right out. Pop'd the whole shaft out and kept the outside C.V attached to the rim and finished ridding the rest of the day. Keep the wheels spinning and the beaver grin'n!
wow.. this is like rodney king. so sad. there are 4 guys with him, and they are just standin around watchin. Even im not the most helpful guy in the world, but after the first 10 seconds, i woulda jumped in there myself and told ev1 to get off their ass and help this man.
hey sweet video! watch, rate, and comment on us racing our grizzly 660s at pacific raceways! my video shows the grizzlys taking on the sport quads on the log section of the race!
@bhuizinga100 sorry to tell you bud. but with my polaris i've pulled out countless other atvs. shit happens man and if you actually do ride you know that.
@bhuizinga100 actually, polaris is pretty good, i used to have one till it got a cracked head and it cost too much to replace. i had a honda before that, by the time i sold it it wouldn't go into gear, the shocks were shot and the front axel broke. oh, and i bent the frame thanks to my buddy who fell a tree onto my quad! fuckin dumb ass....
@bhuizinga100 have you ever owned a polaris ? I have i have had 2 an 03 for 8 years never had to do anything to it but put tires on it and brake pads. I also have an 06 only have had to put a cv boot on it and change the oil on em both regularly. The 03 is a 2wd the 06 s a 4x4 and i have never had it stuck and it will pull most anything i hook it to. Honda's are one of the best. With my experience with polaris it's stands with the honda's.
@bhuizinga100 polaris doesnt suck first of all.. second stock tires suck on every quad third what do you expect if u keep doing that ? yeah people pound the shit out of em but there all gona break sooner or later
@nascarpunk15 It's actually because many Polaris atv's have 2-stroke engines. 90% of weed eaters have two stroke engines. And you better watch out, a two stroke Polaris will slaughter most bikes in the 1/8th.
That could be possible since the 400 2-stroke is majorly toned down from factory. Just a pipe in most cases adds 10hp, a few more light mods and you can hit 50-60hp from 37hp. With more money you can hit almost 80hp.
simply put, 100-200$ and a 500 scrammy could never touch that 400L.
Btw have you raced a 400ex? I raced the neighbors piped 400ex and beat him in all 4 races. Nobody on youtube believes me :(
Yeah, ours were both pretty close to stock, and yea, you're right 2 strokes are much easier to mod and get power out of. I've never raced a 400ex, but just because nobody else believes you, I will. I've seen some unbelievable things, such as my minivan smoking half the cars out there ;) I guess depending on what I raced that's not so unbelievable, but most would think so! Cheers.
If you look at the numbers yamahas 250cc 2 stroke dirtbike has 47hp stock and the 400l polaris is 37hp. Factory detuned for reliability :(
Also, the driver matters a lot when racing quads and the particular owner of the new piped 400ex had two banshees on race fuel behind him that he owned and hauls around in a real fancy covered race trailer to drags during the summer.
I've gone to the race track many times and never picked up any fuel. I wouldn't want to put it in a quad anyways. But I guess part of the reason my 500 ended up beating the 400 is because I am a lot lighter then the guys I race with. That makes a huge difference, too. I regret selling them, they were awesome machines. For those that knock Polaris, they've never had one, because those things just take any abuse you throw at them, unless user fault really screws them up.
wow weak i have had my foreman on stock axles with 27 inch mudzillas hopping out of a hole terrible on an axle or chunck and still haven't broke one yet knock on wood
lol my sportsmans belt started ripping apart i kept goin all day and when i got back took a look at it the belt was on its last lengths but it was also a ten year old belt lol
@morito12345678 thats because your piece of shit honda is only 3 wheel drive with limited slip.... real 4 wheel drive machines spin all 4 tires and yeah things break.... its a small price to pay but it beats paying for a 4 wheel drive and only 3 tires spin LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
@morito12345678 true that my friend i have 2 hondas 1 a 1985 and a 1993 just bearings and oil and breaks the usual also i have a polaris sportsman i have to buy 300 dollars in parts for when i can afford it but i will cause they are fun to ride
@morito12345678 same here, i have given that thing strait up hell and the only thing that gave was the motor and that was the fault of a poorly built snorkle.
Covering the CV Joints are heavy duty Neoprene Boots filled with Lucas Oil Xtra Heavy Duty Grease to make sure the axles keep running as smoothly as when they were assembled even in the harshest riding conditions.
Gorilla Duty Axles are assembled by hand in the Gorilla Axle Headquarters, located in Monroe, LA to fit the particular make and model needed by our customers.
Gorilla Duty Axles come complete with a one-year limited warranty against breakage.
However, being able to operate at high angles is only HALF of the special features offered by Gorilla Duty Axles.
In order to withstand the extreme stress of high horsepower motors and SUPER-AGGRESSIVE oversized tires, Gorilla Duty Axles are made of 4340 Chromoly Steel, one of the industry's strongest steels, which is then machined to a precise fit for your quad! They are then heat-treated and cryogenically treated to ensure their absolute strength and durability.
Usually, after a lift in installed, stock axles are at their weakest point and cannot withstand the constant strain of the added stress of the angles. In time, this causes increased weakness...and eventually...breakage, stranded riders, and embarrassment!
To handle the extreme angle caused by suspension lifts, the Gorilla Duty Axles have a uniquely designed, patented upper cv joint allowing them to articulate especially well compared to stock parts.
It's common knowledge that OEM parts were made to be JUST strong enough to get the job done. That's exactly why Gorilla Axle created a SUPER-STRONG Gorilla Duty CV Axle to pick up where teh ATV manufacturers left off.
Along with being much stronger than their OEM counterparts, Gorilla Duty Axles can take up to 40 degree angles which makes them PERFECT for riders looking to install extended suspension lifts or oversize tires!
Hmmmm thats atv has power but you should have got some help on getting it out. Also Polaris not the best choice of atv i would go for a Yahmaha i have a Raptor GYT 660
takes a fucking dumbass like this to prove that visco lok is the best system ever made and this guy cant drive all his wait is on the back of coarse he wont go over
Polaris' break axles because all the differentials are fully locked. Yamaha's break less axles and get you more stuck because the differentials are not locked... and it is pretty dumb to rev your engine like that when the wheels are just spinning, you hardly ever gas your way out of deep mud
@trx500fm1 that does make sence... he was giving it to much throttle so the cv snapped?, dude thats like saying he cant go fast at all on roads flat terrian or anything becuse the cv snapped... well guesswhat your wrong a cv snaps from the tire grabbing something, and dont even try and bitch at me about it, ive snapped 5 cvs now, all from my tires grabbing something,
dont seem right, hard to break a polaris axle. They have a large diameter halfshaft with a thick yoke. Looked like stock tires too. I ride a grizzly with 27's still with stock axles in the same types of conditions. the 660's are known for weak axles in the early years.. havent broke one yet knock on wood. but it donest seem like the stock tires on the polaris would grip that much to shear an axle
I think i can-I think I can..OH SHIT..it broke. Sometimes it just better to bite the bullet and get winched out. Your friends are laughing but you wont be once the bill comes in. Where will your friends be then?
the retarded ten year old kid driving should know honding the gas while bottomed out will blow out the rear end. anyways, doing that digs the rut deeper. the dumb asses around him should have winched him out. now there goes a $7000 four wheeler
I used to dis polaris all the time but after today i cant. we had a 2007 650 bomb bury itself in what i have to state is bottomless bog. I am 6'1" and it came up to the bottom of my neck...i freaked....long story short, two hondas with 2500lbs. warn's couldent do the job. suction was probalby equivalent to that of a freakin semi....one 2008 polaris 800xt came over with a tow rope and made two trenches but he got him out. cant say much for their cvt belts in water tho......everything has a limit
Notice the arctic cat (not stuck in the mud). Also... im thirteen years and i know that ur supposed to put weight on the front wheels in ur situation.
i cuda made it threw tht with tht green cat sittin in the back w/o breakin a axle thts pretty bad fer a quad to break a axle with stock tires polaris suck assss
you need a better camera man

They are then heat-treated and cryogenically treated to ensure their absolute strength and durability.
crowvillebulldog 2 years ago

Along with being much stronger than their OEM counterparts, Gorilla Duty Axles can take up to 40 degree angles which makes them PERFECT for riders looking to install extended suspension lifts or oversize tires!

try putting some weight on the front axle and you wont have to work the bike so hard......or pick better friends that will lend a hand.

Polaris' break axles because all the differentials are fully locked. Yamaha's break less axles and get you more stuck because the differentials are not locked... and it is pretty dumb to rev your engine like that when the wheels are just spinning, you hardly ever gas your way out of deep mud
Kbabineaux2 2 years ago
@Kbabineaux2 man, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. just shut the fuck up!
trx500fm1 1 year ago
@trx500fm1 that does make sence... he was giving it to much throttle so the cv snapped?, dude thats like saying he cant go fast at all on roads flat terrian or anything becuse the cv snapped... well guesswhat your wrong a cv snaps from the tire grabbing something, and dont even try and bitch at me about it, ive snapped 5 cvs now, all from my tires grabbing something,
yamaha4Llfe 1 year ago
dont seem right, hard to break a polaris axle. They have a large diameter halfshaft with a thick yoke. Looked like stock tires too. I ride a grizzly with 27's still with stock axles in the same types of conditions. the 660's are known for weak axles in the early years.. havent broke one yet knock on wood. but it donest seem like the stock tires on the polaris would grip that much to shear an axle

skaterdude1229 3 years ago
I used to dis polaris all the time but after today i cant. we had a 2007 650 bomb bury itself in what i have to state is bottomless bog. I am 6'1" and it came up to the bottom of my neck...i freaked....long story short, two hondas with 2500lbs. warn's couldent do the job. suction was probalby equivalent to that of a freakin semi....one 2008 polaris 800xt came over with a tow rope and made two trenches but he got him out. cant say much for their cvt belts in water tho......everything has a limit
thisnameis1990 3 years ago

yamaha4Llfe 3 years ago
@yamaha4Llfe that bike didn't grab ANYTHING that hard with those stock tires.
trx500fm1 1 year ago
@trx500fm1 apparently it did...
yamaha4Llfe 1 year ago
@yamaha4Llfe bullshit. that was a weak axle and WAY too much throttle for that driver, who was obviously inexperienced. it wasn't the tires.
trx500fm1 1 year ago
@trx500fm1 very true
