JJ DiLuigi highlights top 3rd down back 2012 draft

DiLuigi has more yards running sideline to sideline rather than towards the endzone ... so far this year he hasn't shown much ... to even think about the NFL he needs to have big games against big teams ... so far against Ole Miss, Texas, & Utah we haven't seen anything from him ...he longest rush from scrimmage so far this year is only 16 yards ... having big games against junk teams like Idaho or New Mexico State this year won't mean anything ... i'm just spittin' the truth ... go Cougs

@UceRenagade i don't know if you noticed, but his quarterback is playing like absolute garbage, BYU passes to set up the run, if the qb can't complete a freaking pass then how is he supposed to run? He averaged 4.7 against Ole Miss, and the past two games he has had a combined total of 21 rushes and 5 receptions. Not a heavy workload, if you had watched the games you would see no back would be able to put up huge stats in the offense. The sad part is BYU finally has a good defense this year.

btw he had 88 yards from scrimmage against Ole Miss and 63 against Texas, pretty good considering that his qb's nickname should be 3 and out. They couldve beaten Utah yesterday with the way the defense was playing but the qb kept giving the ball back to Utah, they only have so much depth and can't stay on the field forever. Im not exactly sure why Heaps has regressed to what he looked like as a fresh but its frustrating. DiLuigi had 1200 yards from scrimmage last year.

hes had big games against big teams before, like florida state If the defense is swarming all over the qb when he tries to pass then its most likely going to happen on a draw play to JJ (which is what most of his carries have been this year), where is he supposed to go? the holes aren't there

@dwid1984 just for you information, i wasn't harping on DiLuigi ... i think he's a good runningback ... i was just saying for him to open the eyes of NFL scouts, he needs to do more ... even when he receives the ball ... more yards after the catch is all on him no the o-line ... as far as his rushing stats go, the o-line is the reason why he isn't getting more yardage ... and yes, the crappy play of Jake Heaps isn't helping DiLuigi either

@fully01234 great to hear, most fans want Quezada to get the majority of the carries next year, but I say JJ should, he is so quick out there and a great receiver on pass plays as well, not to mention pass blocker, Quezada's is great but his time to shine will come in 2012. JJ had 1360 yards from scrimmage last year and 9 tds, hopefully he can build on that, maybe 2k from scrimmage! 1200 rushing and 800 receiving.
