I love mortal kombat game!...i played it game for the first time in about a year or so yesterday on my xbox 360 and I still love it any mortal kombat fan should have it.
the kak was the only thing that made that game its own thing sure the air combos were nice but lets face it this was just a quick make money game deception kinda was to but i kinda thought of it as deadly aliance 2 because it basicly was deadly aliance so was armageddon
@somethingnotdone I don't know I would say Deception stands on it's own just fine. I mean yes the fighting engine was pretty much the same thing( but more robotic) but the whole tone and look of the game is different (though not all of that is good ie character models) but Armageddon oh man was that disappointing. There was no real feel of newness to it at all it just felt like a shallow expansion of Deception.

1) MK Vs DCU doesn't suck. These MK fanboys only argue that it sucks because of the addition of DC Universe characters, lack of blood and gore and toned down fatalities. If you look over all this, MK Vs DCU was a decent game.
2) It ain't fair, but it's justified. While MK Vs DCU isn't canon to the series there's a reason why the new MK 9 game is a reboot. I mean, seriously- why would you retell an entire series if the storyline is good? They fucked up everything after MK3 IMHO.
3) It's not a fair comparison, I'll admit. And to be honest, I love the Mortal Kombat series and have done so since 1992. However, whenever you have a fanboy out here who makes a stupid claim like "MK's storylines are the shit and Tekken's are shit", well you'll have someone like me to disagree. Like I said, if MK was really that great, there wouldn't be a need to reboot the series.

According to Ed Boon and other developers, the storyline does continues from Armageddon- yet it goes back into the beginning.
From what I've read and gathered, Raiden is about to be killed by Shao Kahn- but in a last ditch effort, Raiden sends a message to his past self, informing him of the events that lead up to Armageddon. Of course, this alters and potentially changes the course of history and Raiden- with this new knowledge- attacks Shao Kahn. That's what's been released
I'm not going to question the integrity of your source, because who knows- maybe you've been let on in more than everyone else or something. But what I'm saying is that because this game revisits the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games, it's technically a reboot. They're not moving forward with the storyline in this one- they're revising it. Hell, you even have the Sub-Zero/Scorpion rivalry back in the game, and that was resolved in MK1 with Subby's death....

mortal kombat is awesome. I grew up with mk aswell as many other fighting games. but tekken interprets martial arts much better then mortal kombat does. Im not saying tekken is better, but just by watching the characters fight you should already know what fighting style they are using. even though mortal kombats martial arts performance isn't as good as tekken, it makes up for it with its awesome blood, gore, violence, and..and awesomeness!

@aztecstorm Everybody that likes MK are real fans. They all don't have to like the same game. I prefer DA over D and MK1 over MK2. IMO Deadly Alliance is much better. You can have your own opinion, but do not ever say real MK fans prefer MKDeception over another game.

There were alot of pointless characters that were made throughout the series that just messed up the series by just coming in for like one game such as Ashrah, Tsu Hao, Hotaru, etc. Not saying the fighters were bad just saying the storyline. Movado was in for only one game sadly but it would have been awesome if they would have persued that rivalry between him and Kabal

@JShamw0w If you payed attention to the text with in MKDAs konquest, you'll know Hsu Hao helped Sonya and Jax form the Outerworld Investigation Agency. He was sent as a spy for the Red Dragon and to help eliminate the Black Dragon.
Having played them all, the old ones while nostalgic, are fucking terrible. Every character minus the bosses having the exact same combos is not the way to go.
Except 2 through ultimate, gold, etc etc, were nothing but the same old thing again and again, Deadly Alliance was seen as the revival of a stagnant series. The old games only made it famous, in large part due to the humor and gore factor. 3-D actually introduced a decent combo system and different combos for each character as opposed to them all having the same basic moves.

It basically is mate. The only differenc eis that certain characters are available that wern't on, lets say the PS2 or XBOX. People like Frost and Jax. Other then that it's the same.
I'm not gonna lie, I got to the character just before Blaze on the hardest difficulty, and that was after replaying about 10 or so times before I just gave up hehe. I play on Medium setting for casual play, but the game is actually alot more fun the harder it is cause it makes you think.
Blaze on the hardest setting is easy, just choose Johnny Cage, switch to his nunchucks and keep tapping the square button. You dont have to block or move either. Johnny Cage is the best character, he has the overall best fighting style.
That's right. I'm a MK fan, but I must admit that the battle system of Tekken is perfect. In MK, I just like the characters, the atmosphere and numerous finishing moves.
Well verygoodtobi I played the game on the hardest level, and I only got to the very last character before blaze, after that it was super hard hehe, but i got close. Normally I play casual at medium difficulty.
The game came out nearly 2 years ago on the last generation before even the 360 launched so...Yeah they had the proper graphics for their respective consoles (PS2, Xbox, and later the Wii)
the only thing i was dissapointed about this game was doing there own fishing moves and the endings i gusse they proply count fit it in the game as there is a lot of charactors
well the game systems could handle it, its just Midway had like a year to work on it and thats not enough time to add what they wanted in the game. and yes 60 characters is allot to make individual fatality's for.

I'm not gonna lie, I got to the character just before Blaze on the hardest difficulty, and that was after replaying about 10 or so times before I just gave up hehe. I play on Medium setting for casual play, but the game is actually alot more fun the harder it is cause it makes you think.

Blaze on the hardest setting is easy, just choose Johnny Cage, switch to his nunchucks and keep tapping the square button. You dont have to block or move either. Johnny Cage is the best character, he has the overall best fighting style.

That's right. I'm a MK fan, but I must admit that the battle system of Tekken is perfect. In MK, I just like the characters, the atmosphere and numerous finishing moves.

Well verygoodtobi I played the game on the hardest level, and I only got to the very last character before blaze, after that it was super hard hehe, but i got close. Normally I play casual at medium difficulty.

Blaze isn't the problem. It's all the people before him who are hard...
Blaze on Max is the same as Blaze on Medium...
What I've been trying to do is: Change each round to two, fight through all the way to Blaze without losing a single round.
For some reason, one of the rounds will be impossible to win, and you'll have to start all over again. BTW, difficulty on easy. NOT Novice, but Easy.

Technically thats not true,the wii version of Mortal Kombat Armageddon has the female version of Chamelion as well as the male version.

The game came out nearly 2 years ago on the last generation before even the 360 launched so...Yeah they had the proper graphics for their respective consoles (PS2, Xbox, and later the Wii)

well the game systems could handle it, its just Midway had like a year to work on it and thats not enough time to add what they wanted in the game. and yes 60 characters is allot to make individual fatality's for.
