  • What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas......except landing ramps, they don't stay (put)

  • i remember this live!!

  • any of these guys back then ever practice

  • i remeber gary wells ...even today as a man i still think of him when i think of evel

  • Robbie made the jump and many others and broke many of his dad's records. Joke My Azz !

  • Gary Wells was way past Robbie 'boozecan' Knievel. Robbie is a fraud as a jumper. Wells was a bad ass jumper who made a terrible mistake at caesars. The red tux, the arrogance, the fly-by wheelie the day before R.K. barely made it, Gary Wells was a great daredevil who missed one jump. Robbie is a joke.

  • priceless

  • HE WAS DOOMED AS SOON AS HE TOOK OFF!

  • He left the take off ramp at an angle. That's why he missed the landing ramp. No one moved it.

  • Two things would have helped him. One would have been if he landing ramp was wider. Of if he didn't have one at all. The jump Robbie Knievel did was much shorter then this because he landed on his safety ramp.

  • So noone checked his ramp placement since the night before?! Give me a break! I remember how he tried to surpass everything Evel did. A very talented rider, but as charismatic as my sofa!

  • the funny thing is no one remembers gary wells everyone remembers evel knievel

  • "didn't have the MEGA wide ramp that Evel had" WTF, he wasn’t smart enough to buy the extra $20 of plywood? He blew it, it's his own damn fault. Evel Knievel never made excuses.

  • I remember him to be a cocky bastard. How could you not check to see if the freakin ramp is lined up before the freakin jump. That's almost as bad as saying someone forgot to strap a parachute to me before I jumped outta the plane.

  • Gary Wells was a very talented jumper. I remember watching him on CBS Sports Spectacular going head to head with other jumpers and he had insane jumping skill. But he didn't have the charisma and flair that Evel Knievel had. Therefore Wells is mostly known as "the other guy who crashed at Caesar's Palace".

  • Gary Wells was a serious dude....He beat Evil on distance and never got the publicity. I love Evil...and I realize he jumped a stock Harley, but Gary never got the credit he deserved. That jump was perfect....the ramp placement was ridiculous. Gary didn't have the MEGA wide ramp that Evil had...didn't have the budget. It sucks a guy is ruined over a couple hundred dollars worth of lumber...

  • "someone moved his ramp" lol

  • " he's in trouble he's in trouble!"
