While nerdfighteria raises awareness about charities, and gives water to people who need it. These haters are wasting time criticizing what nerdfighters stand for. Making false claims, that are blindingly not true if you watch any more than 5 videos by the vlogbrothers. We are not trying to take over the world, we are trying to make it suck less.

Tell me WHY do you NEED to belong to a giant online cult/clan whatever social group? What is wrong with just having a SMALL group of friends to just go to the mall or whatever it is you teenagers do? It seems to me you're insecure feeling empty looking for more interaction otherwise you wouldn't seek out this crap. Can you not have friends any other way. If you can and do than why this? If there is a demand for merchandise then you minions DO buy their crap!! You contradicted yourself!
I said that everyone needs a place to belong. Some people find that their social group is a team from school, co workers or people on the internet. Being part of something bigger and caring for more than just yourself is what life is about. Most Nedfighters do have other friends 'to go to the mall with', but it's okay to have more than one social group to be apart of.
I was stating that the community was built strong before there was any merchandise. Just like any other fan based program.
I'm still wondering why you do what you do. You make videos expressing your hate toward everything. Is your goal to gain followers or are you doing it for yourself?

If you've watched any of John's/Hank's videos you know that what they are doing is not for capital. The merchandise is only available because people are willing to buy it. For example:
Hank was challenged to write songs. His songs are good, so people wanted to buy them. Hank then put out a CD. people liked the CD so they started a record label. It's a series of events that make sense.
Everything you have said makes me believe you live a miserable life and you just take it out on the internet.

I can deal with people like you who are constantly posting hate videos and have a few people watching, but when you take the time to seek out and write on other videos, I question your motives. What was your goal of writing that comment? If your goal was to get me to visit your lame youtube page, you have succeed.
While you are busy making hate videos and writing nasty things of peoples videos for attention John and Hank are raising money for charity, making smart and enteretaining videos and have a positive impact on people's lives. What's so wrong with that?

I might like some to see my videos but I don't desire the kind of attention the vlogbrothers seek. The reason I have made comments here and there on the subject is because most nerdfighters are Harry potter cowards who flag and complain about videos that don't even violate the community guidelines here and get people removed because they CAN! They are E- bullies.
It wasn't your fault! You did a great job going out there to try and confirm it. I don't think anyone knew exactly what they were gonna look like or what kind of "credentials" the DARPA rep was supposed to present to verify that it was a real balloon. Also, I think Nerdfighteria found the real balloon #3 so we would have figured it out.

By definition a Cult is:
A group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc.
Nerdfighteria is a group online, bound together by the common respect for john and hank, nerd culture and over all smart people.
A cult does not mean that we buy stuff from them, it's just something that happened because of the demand for merchanidse.
