  • Was Mike Judge using a pseudonym of Wesley Archer when this film was made?

Can you say proto Bevis and Butthead???!!!

    Too damn close for comfort.

Haven't seen this in almost 20 years!

  • Thankis for this upload!! It's been some yrs since I've seen this!!

  • Mike judge had some early sketches in the late 80's on animation film festivals that were quite good.

  • This was one of the most insane toons from back in the 90's but it was a great concept cartoon nonetheless.... Great Post, I remembered this from way back when it's really cool to see it on YouTube!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • Only one effin channel beeb.

  • Jac Mac & Rad Boy would drive a tire track over Beavis and Butthead's skulls. I remember seeing this on Liquid Television in the early 90's before Beavis and Butthead ever got any spotlight. I wonder how much Wes Archer's characters influenced Mike Judge?

  • night flight rules byob primo!!!!1

  • i miss this show! we used to get it on late night WXYZ in detroit (i am in canada but we got the feed) and i saw this once n it was amazing!

  • I always loved this daring, inovative form of animation. You can thank Nightflight & other late-nite cable shows for being a haven for less mainstrean entertainment! Don't know what killed it??? Was it the rise in interest in computer animation? Or the drop in intrest in that which 'pushes-the-envelope'?

  • @dukes0916 dude you just reminded me of nightflight. i haven't thought about that in almost 30 years. I'm old, but that shit was cool.

  • I thought this was a hallucination....

    thanks for posting this!

  • They showed this at our high school, believe it or not. I have no doubt that it inspired more of us to get wasted, rather than refrain from drinking & driving.

    (would've been sometime 86-'88)

  • I still call beer, "brew ha-ha" becasue of this cartoon.

  • You are the man!! Thank you a million times. Night Flight was awesome! Made for stoners. This cartoon is on 1 of the many TVs on the wall in Back To The Future 3. My old Night Flight tape with this cartoon died in late 90s. Man you made my day!!

  • @serkspawn

You are welcome. Put it up a few years ago before my tape disintegrated. It hasn't yet but if it did, I got it up first! You're welcome. Wes Archer contacted me about it and threatened to sue... just kidding, he was as cool about it as you would expect from the guy who made this bitchin' toon. He has a really clean version on his site in .mov. Look for it. Cheers

  • @antstuie you say wes archer has a really clean copy on his site in .mov, but where is his site? did searches on wes archer to no avail. pls hook me up dude!!

  • @antstuie Did he ever do anything else? This was a pure stroke of evil genius!

  • is this traditional animation done on cels?

  • I remember seeing this in 1985 on NightFlight. Does anyone know who created this and the story behind it?

  • Destroy-O-boy!

  • Destroy-o-boy!

  • Waaa-hoo! Yeee-haa! Jac Mac? Goin', boy, go boy go! Go! Go party, go! Primo! Ultimato! FUBAR! Let's go! Pull up to the party, Jac Mac. BYOB, leech, we need cold brew-ha-ha! Floor her, man, punch it! Heeee heheheh!

  • Oh fond memories of teenage years watching this on 'Night Flight'. Early punk effect on me, they may have been the pre-Bevis&Butthead (note to self ask M.Judge). The 80s underground animation circuit was the best.

  • Wow, I've never seen this before, but then again, if it was made in 1985, that means I was 2 when it first aired... and even if it aired again in the future, it must've been on cable, which I didn't have until my parents got cable in 2001.

  • Hot damn, that's a massive nostalgia injection straight to the heart.

  • This shit was so viral it even shows up in "Back to the future II" when the old Marty McFly turns on his multi-channel entertainment center.

Gotta love the five ohs @ 1:36, one's holding his chocolate doughnut and the other looks like a mosquito with a cigarette for a proboscis LMFAO!

  • Great license plate.

  • Go Party GO! I need some cold brew ha ha ! wawHoo@

  • Yah! I remember.. Go.

  • "Quit feebin' ya scumbag!" "Punch it Jacmac!" I've said this so many times since I first saw this in 1985.

  • WOW! had no idea this was mid-80's!

Remember it from Liquid TV in 1993......

  • Yep, that's where I saw it too!

  • Man no one I mean NO ONE parties like does 2 fuks! Love dis shit da animation is da bomb!!!

  • Blast from the past, haven't seen in years...many thanks from this old fart!

  • Possibly the most bizarre/awesome animation ever

  • wait what

  • THIS IZ FREAKIN SICK! i like it :)

  • You have to be frying to truly appreciate it.

  • lol, I think there's a beavis and butthead episode based on/ inspired by this- I think it was called driver ed or something and they are shown a cartoon with a similar premises to this (albeit more "realistic")

  • AWESOME! I saw this on night flite too and thought I'd never see it again...thanks for uploading this!

  • I saw this on Night Flight alot!!!

  • This trip blows primo!!Awesome

  • thats just awesome. thx for uploading.

  • In that lame-o flick, back to the future 2, when the old version of michael j fox walks into his future home and starts turning on all his t v channels, jac-mac and rad-boy are on the screen! Thanks for bringing a bad-ass piece of original animation back to life! I'll bet this rascal inspired a ton of other animators.

  • damn it been a while since I have seen this last ... I was in or just out of high school

  • AWESOME! I haven't watched this clip since 1991. To this day, when it's time to "speed up" in our car, I always scream out in my best Rad Boy voice, "BUST WHEELS, Jac! BUST WHEELS!" Thanks for the fond old memories of a fantastic animation clip. BTW, does anybody know the song the trucker was listening to? lol

  • This MUST have had something to do with the origin of Beavis and Butthead.

  • Quotes from a 2001 on-line interview w/Mike Judge: "Jac Mac & Radboy" is one of my favorite cartoons of all time so it probably did inspire me. Wes Archer also did the animation for the Butthole Surfers video ["Who Was In My Room Last Night"]. He's now a director on the Simpsons. He's a great animator." - 1b2s

  • NIGHT FLIGHT,that's the first place I ever saw it.

  • Fuck CGI.

  • DESTROY-O-BOY!!!

    Quit feebin', man!

BYOB leech, we need cold brew-ha-ha's.

Love the slang they use. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.

  • this is amazing

  • God bless early 80s basic cable!

  • Silly question, no offense. {No other way to say it}Thankyou Wes, for the new website with the high qaulity Jac Mac; was worth the wait, as will be whatever DVD version is coming our way.. (wink wink)...

  • Was Jacmac the prototype for Dale Gribble in "King of the Hill",I wonder?

  • F**K YEAH!! I'd destroy all of mankind too for a cold Ramajama Brewski(TM)!

  • FUBAR!!!!!!

  • i'm not sure, probably. 454 is the engine size of my pickup, so it's easy to remember :)

  • My favorite video from Night Flight's Friday night lineup. Jac Mac & Rad Boy the inspiration for Beavis & Butthead? You bet. Beavis and Butthead are the watered down, mass appeal version of Jac Mac & Rad Boy; their dark prototypes.

Now we'll never make the party. Wa Ho~o~o~o~o

  • My all time favorite video! I think I saw Beavis and Buthead in a short called "Frog Baseball" a couple years before this came out on Liquid TV. JacMac and Rad Boy are nothing like Beavis and Buttwipe.

    FUBAR

  • byob leach!

  • Are there really 453 other Stevie Ray Vaughn fans that registered with his initials at You Tube before you did? That's awesome!

  • BLOW WHEELS!!!!!

  • Heheh. I love the way Rad Boys mouth moves.

  • NIGHT FLIGHT!

  • Awesome!!! I first saw this in a "Best Of" Animation Awards movie at a local alternative movie house back around '85 or '86. I also taped it off of Night Flight and still have it on tape somewhere, but my damn VCR got fried by lightning, so I haven't been able to convert & post anything. Will get a new one soon and post more of this kind of thing. Maybe a slightly clearer copy of this.

  • saw this on liquid television many years ago, thanks for uploading this!

  • Ah, yes. I remember this from Liquid Television also. That was quality tv.

  • I'm amazed and totally glad I found this on here. Great memories of Atomic TV on Night Flight.

  • I've been searching for this disturbing cartoon short since I saw it on atomic TV twenty two years ago. It is insane!! I love it! Thank you!!

  • WOW! Thanks for the memories! Now if only someone would post "Art School Girls of Doom"

  • Thanks for the blast from my past. Saw this c. 1984 I think. Fubar!

  • I have this recorded from Night Flight in '87!

  • If it's the show with Atomic TV segment, that's the one I had too. Pretty cool.

  • BYOB! GO GO GO!

  • Just curious, what do you mean things have changed in the sense of real world references?

  • Yes, indeed, an awesome short! The animation is so pure in colored pencil. There's no fucking cheating go on here! He's got to fucking draw everyfuckingframe... that's motherfucking the shit ... but wuts with the credit at the end?? Tell me ho drew this not who captured it and posted it ... Bitch!

  • " but wuts with the credit at the end?? Tell me ho drew this not who captured it and posted it ... Bitch!"

I pity the foo that don't know Wesley Archer was the dude that did this short! Actually, I can't even find a credit for him anywhere on the net for it but he is one of the dudes who works on The Simpsons. Glad ya dug it wutshow! Cheers!

  • AWWWWW MAN!!! Ive been looking fer dis since I got on youtube months ago!!! THANKS MAN! THIS IS THE SHIZ-NIGHT! And when Beavis and Butthead first came to TV, THIS popped into my mind! Man! Guess I wont have to go diggin in the attic for old tapes after all! Its gonna be a Merry Xmas after all!! WAH-HOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • this was used on one o' them back to th' future movies

  • Some pussy is gonna flag this as inappropriate.

  • Yes, I've been thinking about this video ever since I saw it almost 20 years ago. Someone said the ancestors of Beavis and Butthead, I agree. Thank you very much antstui. Go blowin' go blow go yeehaw!

  • I seen this on Night Fight when I was a kid... F'n AWESOME!!! Thank You... BYOB 18 Wheeler Feeb!!!

  • Thanks for posting this vintage animation!

  • Being reminded of one time seeing a clip of this pop up in a educational/motivational film that once played at my high school 14 years ago, can't remember it other than for it being called "The Edge", and having to be sponsored by a few familiar names including the use of BOSE speakers in it's presentation. This short even got seen on a TV set in "Back to the Future II".

  • Destroy O boy!

    Thanks!

  • WAHOOOOO

  • This used to air quite frequently on Night Flight back in the '80s. Archer later worked on The Simpsons, Futurama and King of the Hill. One of the finest pieces on cel-based pure animation I've ever seen. Stark, rough, raw, powerful.

  • Was this an inspiration for Beavis and Butthead?

  • definitely, Mike Judge admits it somewhere ..

  • No doubt! I haven't seen this in over 10 years when I had the first season of Liquid TV on VHS! Thanks man!

  • I've been looking for this vid for a long time! Thanks for uploading it :)
