xtra nice...and captured with a condenser mic...wonder how this would have sounded captured off the boards and thru post production.....again, nice job.
When I was a background singer some wanted me to do main vocals , never found myself good enough , but when I hear this I'm suprised he's not famous for being the main attraction of a band (as far as I know) ...
Charlie I'm so happy to see this video it takes me back to when you played at the Loading Zone in Dearborn I miss seeing man but you cut your hair lol
Nice, Charlie! Though I realize that this is 3 years ago, I recognize the great inner strength involved in the performance! BTW, I watched th Leighton Project from Aug 13, 2010 and am utterley impressed! Magnificent! Go for it!
I just met this amazing man last night at the Lez Zeppelin show in Ferndale. He has such an amazing spirit about him and I felt so honored to have met him and listened to his stories. He even did an impromtu performance at a bar after the Lez Zep show and sounded great. What a rockstar he is!
I was just talking on the phone today to Charlie who is a dear friend of mine and he told me about this video. It's true, Charlie is a great singer and an awesome guy who doesn't let his disability get in the way. I called him because today (Feb. 22) is the 33rd anniversary of his tragic accident. But Charlie, in his own inimitable way, calls it his "birthday".
Charlie Allen Martin was the drummer for Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band, but was struck by a car while walking on a service road in 1977. This left him no longer able to use his legs.
I know Charlie Allen Martin very well...I can confirm that has the most incredible voice and vocal style.. if ur ever lucky enuf to catch him in concert in any capacity - I RECOMMEND it -thk u so much fr this video, I can't tell you what it means to me!
Wow, that's Charlie Martin from the Silver Bullet Band? His drumming on Live Bullet is awesome. The Silver Bullet Band was never the same without him!!!!!!!!!!!
He was walking to a gas station after running out of gas on the 94 in the middle of the night and got hit. One of my favorite drummers period. He was returning to Detroit from an Ann Arbor Seger rehersal.
Thanks Cat .Had to wipe the tears after that one.Its a sin to hear stuff that happens to the "GREAT ONES"even though hes not dead...It rips my heart out when I think of people like Holly, Bonham, Delp, Orr and the list is endless Know what I mean????
Awesome vocals, love the guitar work, like the way you adapted the song

Two pieces & a vocal. So good. To bad the singer's handicap has to come into the conversation. No video, I bet this gets higher ratings.f
