I so loved Giles! He was the father that everyone should have. I missed him so much in the later seasons. The video lacks my favorite scene with him and Buffy though, Giles is distraught at having lost Jenny and is on the floor crying. Buffy (I think she hit him actualy) falls to the floor and embraces him and says, "I can't do this without you." I loved that scene so much. He was such an underrated character. I'm glad that there is some Giles love out there.

You aren't missing much. After Joss stopped writing for the show, Giles's character was totally ignored. I just can't see him reacting to Buffy as he did in season 6. But that's just me. :)
i ve seen season 6 now and i dont think Giles would have done that but i think who every wrote it were trying to demonstrate a parent leaving a child 2 grow up but the show missed giles 4 the last 2 seasons :)
@Laurtew I totally agree! I just stopped watching after that. The few I did see I couldn't figure out what was missing.... Giles. It's like he was the glue, or the wind in the sails. It just deflated and died.

This is at the end, after they fight the Hellmouth. Buffy's saying it's the bravest thing she's ever seen and he's saying, "The stupidest" and she's going on about how brave he was.
