  • jus curious y u teach your dog commands in german cuz i have a german shepard pup do u recommend teaching him in german also?

  • du you say "sitz" to make him sit or did I hear that wrong?

  • @huswsimonbla yes i did :)

  • @choppergirlJune cool! but he wasnt trained by a german or? just interested hehe

  • He is so well behaved! The BEST Rottweiler iv ever seen!

  • @theolster13 Thank you very much :))

  • thats amazing that one guy came close to oz...my brother rottie got out of the car on me once in the parking lot of a Golden Corral and some people we're getting out of their car then saw him and shut the doors again until i got him back in the car...they most know you and the dog really well....

  • Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you use multiple languages for commands (ie: blieb - german, andiamo - italian, and I'm not sure what language your sit command was)?

  • Funny you picked up on that ;) He understands German, Italian, and hand commands. I do it for my own reasons.. It works well for me and I also speak a little Italian... He is a very good listener and strangers can't boss him around ;P

  • I am saying "Sitz" which is sit in German or you can also say "Sitzen"

  • Oh - I hear it now, you just pronounce it differently than I learned - different dialect, perhaps?

I've thought about doing the same type of thing for my future puppy (living in dorms right now, so can't have one, but in a few years...), but have wondered if it would be inconvenient sometimes to have commands that not everyone could remember easily (ie: petsitting situations). Have you ever encountered any time where it would have been better to be using all English commands?

  • @choppergirlJune sitz is better as it is the "command" form.. for a dog here ( in good ol germany) you say "sitz!", "bei fuss", "platz" etc ;-) but your rottie is one of the best trained i have ever seen respect!

  • is that staples? lol

  • Ha!! Your good!! yes it is ;P

  • that's great, here where I'm living I don't think they'd let the dog get in a place like that

  • I take him everywhere until they tell me no ;)

  • oh bless,hes adorable,annie xxx
