Erm, what? He does a dumb move down into the corner that most players do in video games when they can't pass, and that's proof of his driving ability? Get real. This was a stupid move. I understand Gio's a great driver (3 ETCC championships speak for themselves), but honestly, this was a silly move that was never on which knocked out an independant driver on a tight budget. Really made me loose respect for the BTCC as a whole, this move.

i wouldn't call that a dumb move. He saw a gap and went for it in which time Jordan shut the door. Muller pulled off trhe same move in the 99 season and was one of the best moves i can remember.

@NightFightah Now try to see it from Gio's POV, he was racing for the lead, for a team, and was also defending a position, so he was probably concentrating too much on the car behind. To be fair also Gio was faster than Jordan down the straight, so perhaps Jordan could have given Gio more room. All in all it's a racing incident and nothing else

@TGTAP I see where you're coming from but I still don't buy it, if you're concentrating on the guy behind you get your braking spot on in order to defend. There's a difference between him missing his braking point and just going straight on into Jordan, and IMHO Gio did the latter - watch again and see just how much time there was for Gio to jump on the brakes and pull out of the lunge, but he didn't. Classic example of modern BTCC racing - stick the nose in and just barge the guy out the way.
