  • "You have to keep in mind that college student are not necessarily the most mature individuals to carry guns" This is NOT a debate about keeping guns out of the hands of college students.Allowing concealed carry on college campuses would not change the rules about who can buy a gun or who can get a CCW license. States that allow the licensed carry of concealed firearms prohibit license holders from carrying while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I love TYT but I think you're unfair here.

  • Is this the same John that is now working with you, TYTU?

  • Isn't supposed to have a gun in the first place

@ jbarah amen bro i live on the border as well and see all the junk that is coming across cuz the CBP guys are expected to secure the border with both hands tied behind their back but that's a different convo as soon as I turn 21 I'm getting a CHL and damn right I'll be carrying every where it's legal

  • Illegal drugs are by definition ILLEGAL but how many ppl in this country have smoked marijuana it's the same way with most of your guys arguments laws only keep law abiding citizens from doing so. If some crazy lunatic with a gun comes bursting into your classroom would you rather pull a gun and fire effectively stopping the assailant or are you gonna be the idiot who pulls out a piece of paper and yell "STOP, what you're doing is illegal" I think I prefer a glock over a bill that says the guy

  • An sorry but your the liberal "gun free zone" bitch I live by the border and right now more then every I would want to be able to protect myself. Lets just tell you one thing we have DHS every year make a threat assessment and (my friend happen to be making this one) on university all over the country (especially the ones by the border) and UTEP gets a F every year and campus police knows this and they been getting F for the pass 5 years so what does that tell you? I can depend my life to a u

  • You know where massacre shootings take place? "Gun Free" Zones

You know where massacre shootings NEVER take place? At gun shows (where there are thousands of guns)

I guess the Constitution only matters to you Liberals/Progressives when it benefits your political views. You're all as hypocritical as the Republicans.

  • @tytuniversity I'm 19 and very mature and I love guns and yes people should be able to carry it around with them for self protection college or elsewhere as I do but they shouldn't allow religious fundamentalists nuts like fred phelps or nadal hassan and drug addicts and violent alcholics and those types of fools to carry or own guns those guys are the ones that are a threat to others not me and not any of the responsoble gun owners I know.

  • This John guy is retarded... why should student not be able to concealed carry on campus?

  • Here's a different scenario though. Most people are decent people. School shootings happen. If some devil of a child decides to shoot up a school all it would take is a few good people with some guns to take him down with minimal casualties. If I possessed a gun I could end a school shooting.

I want to keep it real. I'd like to have a conceal and carry permit because I believe I;d like the right to protect myself when my life is in danger. That's it. I don't like guns, I don't like violence.

  • Also, unless you know for sure that you can pull the trigger, don't carry a gun. Because a criminal with a gun looking to scare and not kill (like a bank robber) will quickly become a criminal who'd kill if you pull a gun on him and don't have the guts or the reflexes to use it properly.

  • How often do campus shootings happen? Almost never. Increasing campus security could bring that low number even lower. College kids don't need guns on-campus for a vast majority of the time, like 99.999999% of the time.

  • @nothlithawk777 But during that .0000001% how many people die? How many of those people could have been saved if a professor or student was allowed to carry a weapon that they were already allowed to carry (by the state) in public? Colorado State University at Fort Collins and Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, VA, have allowed CCW holders to carry on campus since 2003 and 1995 respectively and there has been no report of gun related violence (and threats) thefts or accidents since.

  • crazy

  • good guys need guns cuz bad guys have them. a scumbag is GONNA carry a gun and WILL use it to kill no matter what bill you pass or what law you overturn. obviously the good citizens wont cuz theyre law abidding, which means if someone shoots up your school, dont expect anyone to save you, and if your against protecting yourself, your obviously a sheep and you wont make it alive. im a liberal but i understand that self protection is essential to survival...not cops, not security guards, yourself.

  • It's Texas, what did you expect.

  • I will never understand this desire to carry firearms on a college campus. Let's all just calm down a little. Stop living on edge your whole life. What kind of life is that to strap a gun onto your belt every morning and wonder if today will be the day you'll have to use it? We're lucky to live in a relatively safe country, take advantage of that and relax a bit.

  • @kesloyer There are nearly 12,000 gun related deaths in the U.S. every year. Relatively safe against what?

  • Guess what? Virginia Tech would never have gone down if the students were also armed.

  • Dude, that's paranoid. You should join the army. :)

  • People that would be carrying on campus already have a ccw permit to do so and carry everywhere they go, but i guess when they step on campus there is some magical line that makes them crazy. No one who has gone through the time, trouble and expense to obtain a ccw is willing to risk losing it by doing something stupid like partying and getting drunk while carring. UT allows carry on campus and they have had 0 incidents involving ccw holders.

  • baseball bats, forks, knives and books all can be used as weapons.no one is saying anything on them.more conceal carry people less crime.a crook will never walk into a police office and start anything.

  • @isucrazy300

"a crook will never walk into a police office and start anything."

    Lol......

  • dry up... your option is over blown. we have the right to protect ourselfs. I bet if you get shot or raped you will change your mind. you like in your little world now but soon or a later you will be a victin of crime

  • @barstoolguru

A gun isn't going to help if someone is already aiming a gun at me. You're already fucked, retard.

  • @mecher3k Statistics say in a mass shooting the shooter will kill less people when confronted by another shooter and commit suicide. Maybe it might help YOU because someone might stop him before he gets to the special ED class room where you are and stop you from finishing that ash try for you crack head mommy

  • @barstoolguru

Then those statistics don't account for people's stupidity.

    Like yours.

  • sounds like these schools need more cops on campus. lets be realistic here, most folks wouldnt trust people with guns even if they know or dont know them. the situation could only be made more unstable with guns on campus.

but i love how the hardcore liberals ignore this but choke gun owner's rights on owning guns outside of schools or public places. the reason this issue is so volatile is because many people have some sort of phobia of guns. support the 2nd ammendment but dont be stupid on it.

  • I don't get why libs are so against this. This is about college not high school. And if some psycho wants to shoot the place up he will bring a gun whether it is legal or not. Taking guns away from law abiding citizens just gives criminals more power.

Just think about all the school shootings that could have been stopped if several students and teachers had their own guns instead of just beeing living targets.

  • I am starting classes this upcoming fall at the University of Arizona and several local papers have reported about this issue here. Everyone here carries guns, so the idea really isn't that surprising, and many take it seriously. But I don't think everyone carrying guns on campus would make us all safer. The U of A, much like many schools throughout the nation, have invested a lot of ideas and money to make sure their students feel safe, and, most of the time, it works.

  • I need a gun on campus. I'm studying architecture at uh and leave late at night usually. I have to walk through the parking lot and hope I don't get robbed of my expensive laptop I worked so hard to buy. Now I feel safe. I can also walk my friends to their cars safely. I was litereally practicing with throwing knives for self deffense. This could be risky though. People go through many emotions in college. The schools should simply provide police esscort 24/7 at school and have more cops

  • @RadicalRiteous does the school make you notify campus security every time you walk in or out with your gun?

i imagine they have to be thorough when dealing with these issues.

  • no one is safe... but i can tell that you are a nice person and i trust a person like you with a gun... love you. kisses

  • no one is safe... but i can tell that you are a nice person and i trust a person like you with a gun... love you. kisses

  • ...allow yourself to be put in bad situations, if you wanna be the kind of girl that goes to parties, where there are wild things happening wild things could happen to you. a concealed handgun is to protect you from a bad situation coming to you, that's it.

  • @jeffssmart So now I can't go to parties because of the risk of being shot? Now I can't live my life freely because of the fear of random gun violence? May you be shot by a stray bullet.

  • you are scared because you have no way to protect yourself, that is why a large amount of women in the early 90's bought pepper spray/tasers, yes being less lethal they still maybe useless whe people want to do harm. because you have a gun does not mean you have to pull the trigger, in many cases just showing thay will run, but while you are getting raped by somebody just call the cops! they will be there in 5, 10,maybe 30 min. the idea is not to kill, but to protect, even better don't

  • this just clinched it for me, i'm never going back to campus in texas....i hate it here, i was scared enough as it was from these dipshits

  • Stupid is as stupid does and Monkey see monkey do. Is this chick just flapping her lips about some shit that doesn't concern her in any immediate way because it seems this way to me. How can people from another state come here for a year or two to my home state of Texas and feel that they are more capable of running the show better then we can. I say stay where you were if you do not like guns because next term this will not happen again and as for this loose mouth'd concubine STFU & get over it

  • cont...Therefore, college students cannot carry at a bar, whether it's on campus or not. So what's the bottom line? The only thing this bill does is change where CHL holders are allowed to carry their firearms

  • People need to learn the law first. You have to be at least 21 to obtain a CHL. This means very few college students (generally seniors and graduate students) would be allowed to carry firearms on a college campus. So if this bill passes, it doesn't mean that every college student is allowed to bring their firearm to class, they still have to meet the req. of the '95 conceal carry law. Also, other than on a college campus, this bill does not change where a firearm can be carried....cont.

  • sum people need to read the bill of rights and then study what gun bans lead to in other countries. Hitler, Stalin, and Mao agree citizens should not be able to defend themselves. If u hate ur life then dont defend yourself but i have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Govt was formed to protect my rights

  • This is the same crap we heard when Concealed Carry was being passed, "OMG EVERYONE'S GONNA DIE!!!!11one", and here's the facts, since 1994 (year CC was passed) the crime rate has gone like this:

    Murder: down 51%

    Rape: down 33%

    Robbery: down 25%

    Theft: down 20%

    Vehicle Theft: down 49%

And keep in mind, this bill doesn't change who carries, but where. So your "Drunk collage student rampage" ghost story isn't going to happen, because it isn't happening now.

  • @20thcentfox

I made some scrambled eggs with a gun tasted a little funny but s'all good :p

  • First Virgina Tech soon Texas Tech. Then Texas U and all over TX. Everything's bigger in Texas, stupidity included!

  • It shouldn't be a question of WHERE people can carry a gun, but SHOULD these people being carrying a gun.

If you're a sane, stable and responsible person and can be tested regularly to show so. Who won't get way too drunk or high, will calmly think things through when under stress, has a good temper and won't wave their gun around to be a 'tough guy'; then feel free to carry a pistol in case someone tries you rob, maim, kill or rape you. If not, then they're more likely to be the problem.

  • @20thcentfox

Oh? And a tool such as a firearm do not? What about knives? or hammers? All of which are tools that misused can lead to injury or harm. Should we all be afraid of inanimate objects? OR even Hospitals/Medical facilities, where its an estimated, over 200,000 per year are killed due to errors. (wiki)

Should we ban hospitals for the safety of the public? (Rhetorical question)

  • The ignorance by the gun control group on this video...IS WOW!!!! Unlike the people in the video, I have facts, not opinions.

Idea, lets not allow college students to drive as well, since the ( according to the video ) are all immature and should not be allowed to use weapons.

Automotive deaths in the US per year 30,797 (2009 HTSA.gov)where only 9,848 deaths due to firearms per year, according to the Brady Campaign.

Those with an irrational fear of an inanimate object, still surprise me.

  • @kenpolunchb0x

I support gun rights, I DON'T have a fear of guns at all. That being said YOU SHOULD STOP TALKING NOW you're making us look bad.

The PRIMARY function of ANY vehicle is TRANSPORTATION

The use of a gun? Killing, maiming whether it be human or not

Not to mention there are FAR more cars in use constantly than guns

In some situations everyone shouldn't have a gun and UNTRAINED civilans having guns in an emergency could actually lead to MORE unintended blood shed.

  • @Leadman1989

I should stop talking? Here is a counter example, a knife, a great tool... a main function for cutting , that can also be used to kill or cause injury. What about in the Olympics and the rifles they use in the winter games? Are those designed solely to kill? Nope.

Your statements, and ignorance, show your fear and distaste of firearms. One last bit, according to DOT there are :62million vehicles, and the FBI : 200million firearms. do the math. Kisses!!!

  • @kenpolunchb0x

Yes you should REALLY stop talking. A Gun a great tool for KILLING and NOTHING ELSE a sport is NOT A PRIMARY FUNCTION of a tool and YES those guns ARE DESIGNED TO KILL just because they use it for something else doesn't make that it's PRIMARY FUNCTION.

That's like saying the primary function of a hammer is playing whack-a-mole.

    continued

  • @kenpolunchb0x

    continued

When you google something make sure you go past the first link (or at least read all the way down the page) that comment said it was accurate as of 2005 and that may even be incorrect

In a country of OVER 300 million people it's IMPOSSIBLE that there's ONLY 62 million cars on the road I know from memory there are more than 18 million trucks on the road daily the real number is closer to 270 million KISSES!!!! -_-

  • @Leadman1989

Oh I read much further then that, I did not included unlicensed vehicles nor trucks, only cars. Due to ibeing something more people can relate with. As I also did not include unlicensed fire arms which is an even greater amount. When there are no further data numbers past 2005, I cant very well use them in a debate now can I ? I am sorry that you are still very much so stuck on a false belief, and have such an open hostility to anyone that believes different.

  • @kenpolunchb0x

Well trucks are involved in accidents too and unlicensed firearms shoot people so they are a part of this equation... cars are almost CONSTANTLY in use while guns aren't not to mention the us compared to ALL other first world countries has MORE and gun violence shootings than all of them combined and doubled

Like I said I'm NOT anti-gun but there's a bounds of reason and some people shouldn't carry guns and some places where guns shouldn't be allowed

  • @Leadman1989

We have more gun violence? Look south of the border my friend. You cant own any firearms for self defense yet the range of murders is astronomical. You are very much anti gun, your statements are the sentiment of the anti-gun. The trucks comments; I re-read my original source...I was incorrect in saying cars, its motor vehicles. You have been proven incorrect, for your comparison and reaching for straws.

  • @kenpolunchb0x

Looks like someone can't understand NUANCE just because I don't want BABIES carrying guns doesn't mean I'm not for RESPONSIBLE gun ownership and you tell ME that I'm stuck on a false belief and openly hostile to anyone that believe different what a LAUGH

Look south out the border? Why I believe I said FIRST world nations No you don't seem to be understanding my VERY SIMPLE argument that's YOUR problem. You re-read wiki answers GREAT SOURCE *claps* do try harder KISSES

  • @Leadman1989

Source was department of transportation, not wiki. I admit my mistake on the first world bit. If you honestly believe that I did not understand your comments, you are horribly mistaken. I think you dont even remember what you got into this argument about, and are jumping at straws trying to disprove anything I have said, and failing.Good luck next time sweet cheeks, HUGS and KISSES :D

  • @Leadman1989

You know what, I deem this over. I have presented you facts, you have come back only with opinions, and caps-lock screaming. This is no longer a debate, this is you trying to win a debate, that you lost along time ago, just to feel you are the bigger or better man/woman. So, this is over, I gave you cold hard facts, you have provided nothing, and I have grown bored of your lack of a real challenge.Good night sweet heart, Hugs and Kisses!!! :D

  • @kenpolunchb0x

Caps locks for me ISN'T screaming it's only for EMPHASIS. You've presented half assed unsupported "evidence". This was NEVER a debate because you are simply wrong gun = tool of destruction there's NO debating that and even if your "FACTS" about cars were true which they aren't It wouldn't change the fact that the ONLY use a gun has is DESTRUCTION

Nukes are inatimate objects as well you want everyone to have one in their backyards? Constitution doesn't ban it....

  • @Leadman1989

Half assed unsupported? I gave you my sources, you have provided nothing to counter.Your opinion is not a proper counter to a fact. You believe firearms are solely for destruction, I do not. Plain and simple. This is over with, I grow tired of trying to debate an ignorant fanatic. Good night lover.

  • tyt should hire him, he speaks well, and he makes great eye candy for us ladies

  • You got to understand something, All the students that attend this college are all legally allowed to carry a handgun off campus, Thats our right. So If anyone of those kids wanted to use it on campus they would in an instant due to the fact that at college there is no pre walk in body scanners or detectors. Meaning if any student wanted to use their weapon they already would have. Which if the bill passes in case of an such an occurrence now these people are able to protect themselves.

  • Unless you are military trained, you will only be in the way of the situation.

  • Ok, I'm usually pro gun, but only for home protection or recreational use. Students don't need guns to make it safer so they can only get in the way. This bill is bullshit.

  • TYT have flat infuriated me with their bias against weaponry solely due to NRA affiliation with the bill. This is AMERICA, Damnit. Right to bear arms. Right to protect oneself from the aggression of others.

DO CRIMINALS CARE ABOUT LAWS? FUCK NO. FFFUUUCCCKKK NNNOOO. When weapons are banned the only people who have them are CRIMINALS!

  • @Leuthesius No, tyt isn't biased because of the NRA, if you listen, Ana says that in no way having a gun on campus is gonna protect anyone. The NRA bit is just to shed some light on the politics behind it. I agree with Ana on this one, I see no reason for people to have guns on campus, it won't keep people safe. in a home invasion situation that logic makes since, but not on campus.

  • @Leuthesius

You are such a dumb fuck, darling... You fucking idiots so deserve to get shot by your stupid americunt peers..

Google the fuck up homicide by guns by country. Gee, the US has SIXTY TIMES - I repeat SIXTY MOTHERFUCKING TIMES higher homicide by guns rate than England?

Gee, I wonder if guns being legal in the US has anything to do with it?

Fuck yeah, it does, and everybody agrees with it, except for you stupid americunts.

  • @Leuthesius

You are a dumb fuck who is unwilling or unable to see further than his Texas upbringing, you are a disgrace to the American nation, you are a disgrace to the human race.

  • @Leuthesius Thank you. All these people with no guns are going to shit a brick when the next war is fought here. Going to cry about get the military here to protect there asses. These are the same people who want to decrease military funding. Ill take as many rights as a citizen I can get. This is the land of the free. Protection is all one can ask for. people need to realize not everyone is a criminal. God bless America. . . what happened to the pldge of allgence.. to this country.

  • Wow. Virginia Tech anyone? Who the hell went and killed 32 people and wounded several others. A crazed student with weaponry.

Now I pose a question---Why did he choose this venue to go kill people? Oh RIGHT! "NO GUNS ALLOWED ON CAMPUS" He was going in to kill as many people as possible to go out in a blaze of suicidal "glory".

ONE person--ONE!!!!! With a conceal carry license could have saved lives. In order to get a conceal carry license you have to prove you are capable of holding it.

  • NOW---Think it through. He was going to commit suicide and was purposely choosing a place where he could kill as MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE before shooting HIMSELF.

At my own university I know of several people who ignore the law and carry anyway. I feel safer knowing that they are there. I know who to run TO.

Banning weapons from a campus is the first method of ensuring people will die by people illegally carrying firearms for the purpose of doing harm to others.

  • @Leuthesius Your logic is faulty, you say a shoot out is safer than a random rampage shooting? In terms of the safety scale, a shoot out would be AT LEAST as dangerous as the rampage is in the first place. If you're going on the virginia tech scenario, there's other ways to keep students safe without having a shoot out whenever some idiot goes bananas.

  • @blacklite911 What hes trying to say is that incase of there ever being a rampage shooting like that less would die due to the face that others with weapons will be able to protect themselves. Am I for it? No, but all these people at college can carry a gun anywhere everywhere else outside of campus. Thats their legal right. Does being in campus urge them to use them? Not at all? I just don't understand. My solution would to have on campus police or security with guns instead.

  • @Leuthesius

Yeah, remember the last time we had a campus shooting in Europe? Yeah.. NO? What do you mean NO? Oh what? We don't have this shit over here? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

Yet again you forfeit reason, you disregard knowledge, information, studies, expert opinion and everything when it comes to guns.. You fail to see the obvious and bring judgement on the basis of.. FEAR.

    Congratulations, you fucking caveman.

  • @Leuthesius

Cambridge University shooting, anyone? No.. Let's see.. Oxford university shooting, anyone? Nah, this one neither..

YOU ARE A DUMB SHIT. Stop spreading misinformation and your shitty, pathetic ideas based on fear instead of reason.

YOU ARE FUCKING KILLING PEOPLE WITH YOUR GUN ADVOCACY YOU FUCKTARD.

  • Texas is soooo fucking fucked, it's just like, FUCK TEXAS ALREADY, that's going out to Texans too, just fucking move, I'm not sure if Texas can fling itself any further down hill, but if it's possible it will,

let's stop paying out taxes and what not to ass backwards ass Texas, come to California :)

  • Yeah, hormonal kids that are baked/drunk out of their mind with guns.. I'm sure nothing bad will occur.

  • @THAT1UMMAH Yeah I felt the same way. I like concealed carry but college kids are still very immature along with the drinking parties its a HORRIBLE idea.

  • @THAT1UMMAH YOU HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD TO POSSESS A CARRY PERMIT INSTEAD OF SPECULATING JUST WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

  • @THAT1UMMAH If kids want to bring a gun to school to shoot up a class, they will do it with or without a law allowing them. Don't be ignorant.

  • @I2am4prolife7 <

Interesting, well using that same logic, rapists will rape.

Doesn't matter if the law says not to or not right?

And what about pedophiles? I guess we should let them have at it, correct?

No, "Friend" how about YOU not be ignorant.

    How's that sound?

  • @THAT1UMMAH That was probably the dumbest thing you could have said. Guns don't kill people, the person pulling the trigger is the one that kills. Rapist is a person with a sick mindset just like that of Harris, Kebold, and VT's Cho. Pedophiles and rapist are looked at as a threat to society. A threat. At which it is your given right to "Stop the Threat". Don't classify everyone as a potentional murderer. All I can say if someone even thinks of pointing a gun at me, they better shoot quick...

  • @I2am4prolife7 < Oooooh WOW, LOL!

Better shoot quick! I gotta a John Wayne on my hands!

    LOL

At this point I'm just wondering if your comments are gags?

I mean, you say rapists are threats to our society (And they are) and yet you wouldn't put guns into that same category?

Like I said, hormones will make choices for you when you're younger. I don't think any citizen should be packing heat (Leave it for the military!)

The last thing I need is a kid or a adult with a kids mind (You) having

  • @THAT1UMMAH People like you that can make an "lol" comment on something so serious is a joke that people like you can vote. Especially when you yourself have never been in a situation were your life is on the line. I have. Being ex-military, and being at a bank in houston when a armed robber opens fire. My friend you and others like you just need to STFU.

  • @I2am4prolife7 < Your comment deserved a LOL! You're a clown, bro, I dunno, you seem like it anyways. Did you have a gun that day? Did you use it? If so, what was the out comes? |c=/ .... Hold up, I just looked at my original comment.... I can't believe this BS has went on for this long... Have a gr8 time with what ever poison you're drinking, and have a gr8 life, my slow lil buddy.
  • @I2am4prolife7 < A toy.

LOL! Better shoot? Man, I truly dunno what to say to that.

But hey, keep using your cave man logic, "Friend".

  • So republicans are against drugs (which can harm the INIDIVIDUAL) but are all for guns (which can harm the individual AND someone else)??! Hypocrites at the finest!

  • @acekillla

    Two words Cognitive Dissonance

  • @acekillla Guns protect people, drugs don't.

  • What could go wrong?

  • Gun crime only happens where there are guns...

  • or maybe the nigga is jsut a depressed little shit, ana

  • And, just because some idiots are irresponsible does NOT give you the right to take away rights from law abiding citizens. This is the logic is anti-american as they come.

Glen Beck is irresponsible with speech does that mean some speech should be banned?

    /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm /facepalm

  • @stratelite But in this case, it wasn't the government saying you couldn't carry on campuses - it was the campuses themselves. This is the government essentially telling them they HAVE to allow it.

It's just like, if you come into my business and I tell you that you can't say certain things in my business, no one is taking away your rights because you don't HAVE to come into my business.

  • @DisturbedHavok This only applies to PUBLIC universities.

Privately owned property still trumps the rights in the bill of rights, sure but universities that are publicly owned are the ones that are in need of being changed.

  • @stratelite Because why? I guarantee that guns on campus will make things less safe, not more safe.

A gun isn't necessary on a college campus. If you need one to feel more like a man, then hit a firing range.

  • Gun free zone? More like kill free zone.

  • wow im a college student with a license to carry and im completely against this

  • One of my doctoral students already said he was going to start bringing his gun to the university while at the same time saying that graduate students shouldn't be allowed to bring guns to campus. ROFL.

  • Cool, now more idiots are gonna kill each other.

  • didnt these foos ever watch tombstone?

  • How about making all public campuses a weapons free zone. Only police should be alowed to carry guns on campus. Not the college sophomore who drinks and partys and has no previous training.

  • Hmmm, I wonder if the NRA lobbied for this bill.

  • At least college students aren't known for drinking, partying and doing stupid stuff.

  • I will not miss with a Texan let alone insult their intelligence.

  • Note to self: Do not study in Texas.

  • @gaara2910 You say that but Texas has some of the best public universities in the nation. It's second only to Cali, and even then the UT flagship is better than many UC campuses.

  • @DrQuijano Yes, but I'm not going to put my life on the line to get a good education when I can very well get it somewhere the students aren't possible rageaholics with legally concealed guns.

  • Most of these kids don't have the responsibility to get to class on time -- wtf would they do with a gun?

  • Bills should not be allowed to be attached to other bills. Thats just the dirtiest trick in the book. Its a metaphorical hostage. Assholes.

  • Texas is going to do whatever it's gonna do. If you want to go to a school where everybody carries guns, Texas is the place to be. This is a state where folks drive with open beers and guns, and nobody says boo. Texas: Love it or leave it.

  • My school's had two shootings on campus, brawls, knife fights, and an off-campus shooting that was in college apartments. If republicans in Illinois wanted to pass a bill that would allow students to carry concealed arms it would be the end of their careers. Texas is so stupid.

  • I don't really think it matters...

How hard would it be to get a gun in the school anyways, it doesn't really change much IMO.

  • AMURRRIKA, FUCK YEA!

  • man, it is so interesting to live in this country. look once a few kids get capped im sure they will change the law

  • Yes because it's a GREAT idea to arm 18-24 year olds!! Yea not really!! That is the worst idea ever!! What is wrong with these people?? I mean really!! And then if something happens everyone is like Ugh youth is wasted on the young! Like I said worst idea!!

  • Texas has yet another fail, in a LOOOOOONG line of fails. What a truly scary place. Goes to show how important it is to vote for proper politicians, not rednecks being paid to legalize weapons on unis.

  • College kids, beer, and now guns. Despite what anyone might say against the GOP because they are cutting billions out of education and firing thousands of teachers, we can see by this bill that they really are pro-education. What we need in this country is more scholarly people like Palin, Bachmann, and Boner, and the GOP is working hard to see that we get them.

  • those who oppose... leave TX.... period.

  • @Snakekilla12

What a foolish thing to say.

  • @WaddyMuters foolish, what is the likelihood of beating out 90% of the TX people who want guns in colleges... would you rather risk your life and go to college or move out to another state with no guns on campus and live safer? I'd leave.

  • @Snakekilla12

Wich is another foolish thing to say.

There are no 90% which want guns at colleges, there are a few idiots thats have to be fought.

  • They don't even need capital punishment to be the highest in death rate now.

  • What's the over/under on when some steroided up jock shoots his girlfriend for flirting with some other brain dead fuck?

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri

well he could also stab her, there was a murder at my university in the first year that was in similar circumstances. he broke into her room and stabbed her to death one night. the Uni hushed it up.

  • @ArmedBrit It takes a lot more will power and physical effort to kill someone with a knife. Any monkey can pull a trigger. I'm all for concealed carry, but not at school or in a bar/pub.

  • @ArmedBrit "They told him any motherfucking coward can sell drugs Any bitch nigga with a gun, can bust slugs Any nigga with a red shirt can front like a blood Even Puffy smoked a motherfucker up in a club But only a real thug can stab someone till they die Standing in front of them, starring straight into their eyes" - Dance With the Devil, Immortal Technique

  • even if students buy guns to protect themselves now, the NRA wins...

i say all texans go and steal the guns!

  • I say let the crazy-ass Texans kill each other. (kinda, but not really)

  • If it passes and goes into effect, and If that campus turns out to be the safest one in the nation, what are you going to say then? Will you even continue to report on this story or will you just brush it under the rug?

  • @TheWakeUpChannel2 chances are nothing will change. violence is pretty rare on college campuses, and you definitely here about it when it happens. but why increase the risk of stupid college kids doing stupid things? i don't think we should put kids' lives in danger just because the nra bought a few politicians.

  • @bucsowneveryone They can still bring guns onto campus right now if they wanted to. A law saying that they can't is not really going to stop them from doing so... But, if the law says that they can, then people will more likely be more cautious around campus with the knowledge that others are carrying.. And just because the law says that they can carry doesn't mean that they will necessarily do so anyways.. It doesn't legalize violence, it legalizes defense.. and raises the awareness level

  • @TheWakeUpChannel2 No, not if the university says they cannot, it is private property. This law would mean that the universities no longer have the right to set limits for their own private property.

Just like someone should have the right to say whether armed individuals can enter their home, so should these colleges.

  • @bigjo66 Yea, they can..Something written down is not going to physically stop them from doing so. Look: You're not allowed to respond back to my current comment.

Now, go ahead and prove my point.

  • looks like texas is messing with texas

  • Well, look at the bright side... you can be a bigger showoff.

  • You're doing a great job Ana :D

  • WIN!!!

  • Next campus shooting will be at Austin. I'll put money on it

  • @uncoolnerd you mean next attempted shooting?

  • give every american a gun and let them carry it everywhere so they can shoot each other to death! LOL

  • Then they'll wonder why they have some nut job shooting someone on campus and students drawing guns to return fire and innocent people will get shot and killed. Texans are stupid.

  • TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY?

Way to get this up in a timely manner guys. Fucking great. I guess I'll call during the middle of 5th period.

  • Texas, normalizing gun carrying 1 bill at a time.

  • We're not allowed to drink but we can carry guns? Wait, What? I understand what republicans are doing. They don't want to win in their re-election race.

  • with that hate crimes, suicides, school shooting rates will increase im sure.

  • Blah, blah. Stop being scared of the citizens in your society that carry guns to protect you and themselves, from bad people with guns who actually want to hurt you, which no law, but only gun, can stop. What part of "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." If it's ok for licensed people to carry guns in a grocery store, they can do it elsewhere too.

You sound like republicans, with fear and lack of non-emotional reasoning.

  • @Spanky00Cheeks Hey! This makes sense. The more people that carry guns, the fewer people who will be killed by guns. WoW! What a great idea. Why didn't they think of that on the Wild West where people were being shot down all the time?

  • Why do u need guns on university premises? Science experiments?

    Accidents waiting to happen -.-

  • @anadus7

I keep my gun on university grounds. when was the last time you heard of a shooting at a University in England?

  • in other news, Republicans hate gay people.

  • The communist professors won't like this.

  • @MrGreeneggsnham Ya when a student loses his mind at a professor for giving him a bad grade he'll have a gun to kill him with on the spot. This is good right?

  • @greenchef6 There are probally students that already carry guns on campus. Banning something doesn't mean that people will follow the rules. Columbine High School was/is a gun free zone. How did that work out?

  • NO STUDENT IN TEXAS WANTS THIS!!!

    Ugghh! Fucking politians!

  • @TheIllegalPotato Well if no student wants it then none of them will carry guns.

  • Fuck this!! I'm a student in Texas and this scares me a little. So the psycho sitting next to me in class could be carrying a gun and it's LEGAL??

    GTFO!!

  • @Dhad91

conversely the well adjusted young lady sitting next to you could also be CCing.
