I have allways preferred this version over the Anton Corbin (berlin) version. Both are powerful videos but on diffrent levels. This one is a personal talk(he sits across from you and you are seranaded by him) Also the metaphors of the smoking and drinking bring the idea of emotional pain as he tells his story.
Berlin is a larger image of lonliness but still good.
No matter what one of the most powerful songs US ( or any other band) has ever put to words.
