  • iRacing is worth it. BTW arms and hands will be in the sim by next week

  • It's not worth paying for....

  • @marcus974ever Give a good reason why it's not.

  • @guitarman2134568 You have to pay for everything. Monthly. I can rather buy thing to my hobby. If this did cost 30pounds in local store (disc game) I would buy it. Since ''iRacing'' wanna earn extremly much money the take monthly pay. I rather start up my PS# and play GT5, Shift 2 or Driver SF etc. :-)

  • @marcus974ever Yes...but iRacing is the most realistic driving simulator known to the world. If you like GT5 and stuff...then it may look good and have nice graphics, but it is nowhere near real.

  • Browser is the future.

  • I don't know if you know this, but all of the tracks are laser scanned TO THE MILLIMETER! Much different than a track in Forza. ;)

  • This sim is for the serious enthusiast, and there is nothing you can hate but the price. The tracks are amazing, the cars are modeled very well, and the new tire model has only improved a great sim.

They have great promotions that keep the costs low (participation bonus, rebates for bulk buying) All great ways to keep the cost down.

  • why is it called iracing, I thought it was going to be an ipad or whatever has games game

  • @GadGades i stands for internet...

  • @HendrickFan2488548 honestly did not put that together

  • @GadGades haha A lot of people this that apple invented the "i" but they didn't/

  • @GadGades the name was registered like a decade ago before apple really became popular.

  • Never had I heard softcore porn music fit so well with a racing sim game.

  • OMG, the driver's hands are invisible?!?!

  • hole crap that's an awesome tune! the last one, what is that?

  • why is everybody whining about the 15 dollar price tag on the tracks? They are the most realistic tracks made virtually, every track is laser scanned thus every bump on the track is captured.

  • @viper5821 Yeah but look at Rfactor, Rfactor has Laser scanned tracks and similar graphics and good physics and at a smaller price tag.

  • @dacarfreak2000 rfactor is a bit more than a smaller price tag, if u no where to look its free lol, whereas iracing cost hundreds of pounds however u look at it!

  • @dacarfreak2000 only one track is laser scanned in rfactor which is Eastern Creek Laser. Most of the tracks on RFactor are user made by bobs track builder or ported over from other games.

  • i'm so bad at Racing sims.

What i've learned from mariokart really doesn't translate

  • It certainly looks good, though I doubt any computer I own could play it, though, even if I wasn't a physical media-wanting luddite, I think I'd balk at paying $10-15 per track.

  • Last track sounds like starfox :D

  • lfs is better.

  • NFS Hot Pursuit 2 for ps2 is good. You should try it out Mark.

  • more iRacing!!!!!!!! :D

  • petit le mans :D

  • This track was also in GRID.

  • @spootboy123 where i never saw it

  • @deadleg6 Look again, I'll bet you 3 internets that it is.

  • ill stick with GT5.

  • @TheEgilll4 cheap boring way out I see

  • I really want to get into iRacing, but the problem is I don't have the money to spend $10 on a track and I don't have the money to spend $5-$10 on a car. I think I'll stick with console racers for now. It would be so cool if they came out with iRacing for like PS3 or something because there's no way my computer could ever run this.

  • funny how there are never arms in Iracing... FAIL

  • @3628800258 The fail is you never saw the arms in the replay.

  • @550starfox duh.. im not watching the whole vid for just a track on a stupid game

  • @3628800258 with all due respect, your reply makes no sense sir. Why something a "Fail" when you have no idea what you are talking about? Trolling? yes, I think so.

  • ill stick with forza 4

  • 15 QUID?!!!

    Bite me....

  • a single track for $15?

  • I'm glad Mark is doing some PC game reviews but I wish he'd invest in more PC titles of mainstream games. However, I do find myself watching his reviews of 360 & PS3 games then picking them up for PC...when available.

  • This shifting is pure sex.

    Much better than GT5's.

  • What's with the people talking about torrents , good luck pirating thi tracks and playing with them online , this is a fully online game , not need for speed , stay away kids .

  • does the legends car come with the game mark?

  • Forza 3. Where you can get 50 tracks, 300 cars and a huge online community with lots of car customization for the price of one iRacing track.

  • @OtherworldJudge89 Race 07. Where you can get about 400 tracks, 700+ cars and a bigger online community for less than the cost of Forza 3.

  • @OtherworldJudge89 you cant compare them

its like comparing mariocart and real driving

  • wow...this game kick forza n GT balls....why...couse u can drive ...with no hands

  • wow.....this game kick forza n GT balls.....why...cause u can drive ...with no hands

  • I'm pretty sure Mark is punishing me for my comment where I asked him to cut down on new generation 3d driving games. I had it coming.

  • hey Mark, the El Camino will be in Driver: San Fransisco, if you pre-order it on Steam! I don't know if it'll be available for console faggots though

  • iRacing is hardcore. Por hommes. If you think Gran Turismo and Forza is realistic, iRacing makes both of those feel like Pole Position on the Atari 2600 in comparison. Way too intimidating for any casual player.

  • oh and Mark btw press space when watching a replay, it'll get rid of the HUD

  • Amazing!

  • tip for ya ... in replay mode hit the space bar for full screen without the bars on top and bottom..

LOVE that your doing iRacing reviews.. iRacing is my CRACK..so addictive

  • I bet it's so expensive because they had to pay Apple for the name iRacing.

    (Yes that's a joke).

  • i dont get it what is this thing? its weird

  • ..arms & hands sold separately.

  • @jerryjoe88 They are right in front of you, can't you see?

  • Handsfree driving, and no human driving

  • OMG NOBODYS DRIVING!

  • I would buy the game if it was a LOT cheaper. Rfactor, Live For speed , and Gran Turismo 5 is the bargain sims.

  • Where do u go to play need for speed world... N how much does iracing cost

  • Absolutely great editing on this review!!!

  • Live for Speed is cheaper and it's the better simulator (there is also a demo available)

  • Looks like an overpriced rFACTOR.

  • iRacing doesn't look too bad, but do you get to burn people with monsters and cut them in half?

  • If I wanted a racing mmo, I'd go with Need for Speed World especially since it's free.

  • @toupe454 While your logic is right, I don't think you can compare Need for Speed with iRacing because NFS is an arcade racer whereas iRacing is a simulation.

  • sorry but how is this an MMO, dosent that make most now games MMOs even COD, or forza 3?

  • Still not as good as Hard drivin for the sega genesis. ;)

  • well i can see that that car has conquered 64 volcanos... not bad

  • I love cars and sims but it's WAY overpriced !

  • Mark has iRacing? HOLY SHIT HE'S GETTING SERIOUS.

  • @TheRooster94

Next thing we know Mark is uploading reviews of real cars, and then the next day he is uploading reviews of racing tournament trophies.

  • @TheRooster94 lol i have a feeling the guys hooked him up...tho i think he needs to check out live for speed cuz imo its much better and its only in alpha

  • Mark lift of the gas when you're shifting gears lol. You are ruining the engine irl.

  • rfactor- $20

every single track/car for rfactor- FREE.

    iRacing- jip

  • @ThatLonelyLoner oh by the way they use the professional version of rfactor, OBVIOUSLY modding it. you said yourself it's not a whole lot realistic on its own.

  • @ThatLonelyLoner /watch?v=8Lr62cpbUoI maybe you should research it yourself.

  • is it fun to play? pls reply.

  • Haha, LOL at the ending!

  • @ThatLonelyLoner yes, of course. but its STILL the most realistic. theres a reason the f1 teams use rfactor instead of lfs.

  • be right back, buying an Nvidia card.

  • im playing this

  • the whole time i could see mark saying "Look ma no hands!"

  • I guess he didnt play forza 3 much.

  • shoulda used the daytona usa song

  • As realistic as it is, the prices truly are outrageous..

  • @wrongfire But they're not truly, truly, truly outrageous.

In all seriousness, given the work they put into laser scanning and modeling each track, as well as the fact that really hardcore sim racing is a niche market, I can see why iRacing costs more than other racing games. I expect dedicated racers will focus on mastering only a fraction of what's available. I consider GT and Forza excellent "survey courses" in racing.

  • I think Mark forgot to mention that Mohammed from Qatar donated this....

  • I just kept staring at the LCD of the steering wheel constantly. It looks so real.

  • Is it free but has paid dlc or is it all paid

  • @ladawg81

I think it's a monthly subscription fee + paid DLC.

Not cheap but some say it's the ultimate racing sim.

  • @Molo9000 yes pretty much netflix for serious racing sim fans..the best out there

  • @ThatLonelyLoner rfactor. why do you think the f1 teams use that as their simulator?

  • review LFS PLS

  • imo GT5 is better

  • Comment removed

  • Top Gear did an article on the best iRacing Indy Car driver. They took him and put him in a real Indy car (Sort of like a low powered F1 car).

The iRacing driver had never in his life driven a car on a real race track. After a few laps he was 2 seconds away from a normal track time.

This makes every other racing simulator look like a joke.

  • @Infendo You mean Star Mazda. Greger Huttu "Worlds Fastest Alien"

  • @Infendo I remember that: the crazy finnish bloke, it was kinda crazy lol

  • @Infendo LFS ?? Rfactor?

Rfactor is based on the same engine as iracing has and there are both great sims. LFS compered to that is another world of tire physics It is much closer to real life physics but major downside of this that It has no real life cars and tracks and graphics as iracing. And thats why I think is getting no attention as game/sim

  • @gunProF01 Really? I've heard stories of people drifting in LFS with their keyboards. If there was ever a contender to iRacing it would be Rfactor.

LFS has had huge amounts of attention in the sim community. A lack of publicity is not the problem. It is simply that Rfactor is better, with a healthier modding scene. And even with Rfactors fantastic core mechanics, iRacing has the edge. It may not be by much, but the premium you are paying for is there.

  • @Infendo Jap Its true about drifting with keyboards including me.

But thats because of superior steering options in the menu. Iv never seen in other game that has even similar options for controls . If very good at drifting with keyboard in LFS you may reach (maybe) medium performance after year of intense practice. About racing you need wheel or at least a mouse of you want to compete. With keyboard again you will reach medium racing level if you train really hard and for each races -

  • @Infendo - for each races you have to find right keyboard settings which is nightmare and plus that car setup. So keyboard player is not the best thing in It.But Its possible to be good with keyboard. If you train really hard you can be best at any game with any kind of controls.I really love these sims there are all great in there own way. But I chose LFS (and thats just my opinion) cause I compete in real life slalom and to me lfs delivers similar car handling.Try LFS if dont already.Peace mate.

  • LFS > iRacing

  • Love all the racing reviews as of late. Gonna go check out iracing now.

  • i wonder of my old tonka construction steering wheel for pc will work in this game?

  • Protip: iRacing is about 10x more realistic than Forza and GT combined

  • k guys just want to say this is not a "game" its a simulator. Thats y its pricy and thats y real race car drivers(including myself) use it.

  • "15usd per track" thank you, I´m happy with GT5 ;)

  • @Volviert yea gt5 has 20+ tracks and 1000+ cars for 60 bucks but this i racing thin is a bit out of hand and dosent even have good visuals and no x1

  • @GTRWil428 iRacing is meant to be used as a training tool for race car drivers, as well as for serious sim racers. This is serious shit, not like GT5 or Forza.

  • Looks pretty good, but i'm not sure what they are smoking with the pricing.

  • @youtubasoarus Whel I racing is what allot of race car drivers actually use for training.

I have the game myself but its still a bit on the pricey side but nowhere near the cost of a real race car.

And thus me in this compared to this GT5 and Forza 3 are burnout Paradise

  • @Chrisuu - Well honestly, with the price of this track and car i'm assuming if you wanted to get deeper into the game you'd be better off buying a cheap car and learning to race it. The dynamics of the game, as good as they may be, are nothing when compared to REAL racing. Handling characteristics are totally different in real life. So I can't see the value, for real racing drivers, beyond track memorization.

  • @youtubasoarus

Real racing is insanely expensive. Even the cheapest forms of racing will set you back 10grand per season + a lot of time and effort.

The only cheap way to get on a track is on a kart track where u can rent a kart for a few laps. Everything else will cost you more money in a day than iRacing does in 2-3years.

  • @Molo9000 - I don't know where you're getting your info from, but track days are not THAT expensive. Maybe 2 or 300 bucks. You can bring your own car. If you can't afford that you can do auto cross, which is even cheaper. But again, I cannot justify the price of this game. It's stupid expensive. But if you think it's a great value, you're free to think so and buy into it. I think there are other, more affordable games out there (forza et al).

  • I believe a lot of people are missing the fact that this game is for hardcore Racing Simulator fans, I'm talking rFactor, GTR 2, things like that, it's still a steep price but people who are into this, and not Console racers (Which aren't Sims in any way, shape or form) don't mind paying the steep price.

  • 15 Dollar per Track? Please don't tell Sony. Please.

But seriously, this is insane. I would pay for the game, it looks really nice, but not per track or car.

  • @ThatLonelyLoner It is no where near the most realistic out there.

  • @ThatLonelyLoner LFS is NOT the most realistic sim hahaha.

  • 1 track - 15 usd

    bit torrent - free

  • @ipodxdude it's not something u torrent

  • @ipodxdude bit torrent - Won't work for iRacing.

  • Did Mohamed from quatar tell you about this game?

  • This, console fanboys, is why Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 are just arcade games.

  • @Molo9000

Yeah but they are cheap. iRacing is fucking expensive.

  • @Molo9000

I always know "the real driving simulator" was kind of fake, but it´s more fun than rFactor or iRacing. I don´t have patience to download the full crap and pray my PC can hold the game well.

  • must... BUY... an nvidia GRAPHICS CARD!!!

  • why is my radeon 5670 doesn't do accelerated video decoding? only accelerated vdeo rendering is working.

It's makes the video looks blocky.

  • @HLM190586 UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS.

  • How about no?

  • Ridiculous prices.

  • this game is sick

  • this is way too expensive, but with good steering wheel, trackIR and old car seat i was in heaven. but i only bought it for 3 months, but they were worth it.

  • 15 bucks for a track? Fuck that shit

*goes out > buys a ER34 > installs underglow and drift wheels on it > waits till midnight > speeding on the highway*

  • @TheTerminator248 Good luck with your life.

  • @MarkThaCat you wish you had his guts

  • @Zesazerty ...Okay, it's true...

  • @MarkThaCat don't worry,I'm a good driver

  • lol my dad said i should try this game and improve my steering for oval track stock car racing. Not sure if he was serious or just joking.... is the game that realistic?

  • @notredale123 Earnhardt Jr. uses it. I'd say so.

  • Aaah, gotta love synthesized royalty-free music.

  • True simulator for Papyrus fans.

  • This is well worth the money. Check out sites like GTPlanet who constantly keep the iRacing promo codes up to date. You could lock in these days around 70$ for a year + Williams F1, Zandvoort, and Silverstone. Or there are other promos for NASCAR and IndyCar depending on your liking.

  • So you have to pay a monthly fee to play a game where you have a couple cars and tracks, then you have to pay for overpriced cars and tracks knowing that you will never have the complete game? Still better then CoD tho...

  • $99 for a game with 3 cars and 7 tracks? Bollocks to that!

  • @leeofbacup O_o a little too extreme

  • Pfft, why should I pay for Suzuka when I have it in my Playstation 1 game of NASCAR '98? Not only does it have THE Kyle Petty, but if you enter a code, your car can SHOOT PAINTBALLS that cause instant wrecks and 30 car pileups.

  • @SashaNein and plus when you fip in that game you fly up in the air like crazy

  • where are the hands? xD!!!

  • sounds like an iPhone game... >_>

  • The driver looks so realistic!!

  • there is an offline version but is so outdated (still nice anyway)

  • Finally some actual racing sims from mark :D

    You should try LFS (A)

  • review the wheel!

  • you should review Rfactor and race on 07 !!!!!!!

  • the porno 8-track tape add on costs only $10

  • @KyleReidzilla im selling copy of kids get molested by old woman for 9$

  • 240p.........We meet again

  • EYE RACIIING!!

  • lol

  • Too bad iRacing is the only racing simulator around that is actually being updated. I still play Live For Speed though.

  • 15usd per track? he-hehehe. hahahahahahaha

  • @XeloX2 so I didn't hear wrong..lol

  • @XeloX2 i can guarantee it takes alot more effort to laser scan a race track and build it (virtually) than to make a Call of Duty map pack.

  • @XeloX2 These tracks are 30x more real than GT or Forza.. Yea they have real tire physics and car physics unlike GT or Forza.. Takes time to make things like this.

  • @XeloX2 Well really LFS has real tire physics but still..

  • He really likes racing games.

  • despite being a pc game, it looks like GT4 and seems to be a money pit. (the whole "$15 just to play one track" thing is crazy)

  • mr cgr plays iracing? That's manly
