@83redoneboy I think it's an garde. Only in japanese, what the samurais would say to each other before a fight. A dude in the wolverine anime said the same thing, and it was translated: "An garde" And i lightbulb went on in my head. So that was what they were saying...

@spritsengiggle all i know is the term is french. and snk cant spell worth shi%. my favorite is in ss4 when you win it says VICTOLY........... i think its en gaurd. en in french might mean raise or something. ANyways im sure its spelled wrong.

Well it's a year later, and the game's finally seen the light of day on XBLA. It's a perfect translation of the Neo original with added online multiplayer of course; best version you can get. It's about 800 microsoft points, (around $10) and it's the naturally uncensored version, no blood code need be input (those of you with American Neo-Geo AES units without a debug bios chip know what I mean). Next up is Ultimate KOF '98, which will most likely see release next year.

the fight with wan fu and charlotte was frustrating. charlotte would have died in 10 seconds had the person playing wan fu known how to play!

How can you not get the hang of Charlotte's SS2 moves? Nothing complex in her move motions at all: the projectile's done like a street fighter dragon punch, the blitz stab you just keep tapping the slash, the uppercut's just db, d, and df, and the super's just a half circle starting from f, then back to f again... She's easy actually.

in our arcade, i was in the top playerswith haohmaru and galford. peple would scream at me for beating them so easily. but i think it was cause i was a girl. they couldn't handle it. but in all the SS2 vids i've watched, i've never seen anyone do haohmaru's or ukyo's special moves.

I played Charlotte as my number 1 character. I got used to her moves and her special moves too. I beat the game with one quarter at many locations around. People came around to see how well I played and they congratulated me. Love my Charlotte!!

what level was ur game set at? ours was set at the hardest level, even beating the referee both times, on one quarter. all the top players could do it cause we learned the hard way. haohmaru and ukyo are the best cause they have super secret moves and no other character does.

Charlotte was always a pain in the ass to best. I found with her, it seems there is no inbetween. You either know how to use her well or should use her at all. I particularly could never get the hang of her moves.

I'm sorry, but to quote someone from a Shodown site, it doesn't take a lot of brain cells to poke your opponents to death. I play alot of characters in Shodown and Charlotte's hardly that difficult to pick up on. Beating her of course is a different story.
