After listening to a treasure like this, it makes me wonder what happened to the music industry which releases so much crap today. Just a few notes of this song transports me back to the glory days of good music.
Probably is the most played song ever (with possible exception of Brown Eyed Girl). With good reason. When it came out, it almost seemed possible that the bad times were behind us. They weren't, of course---but this song captures that brief mood of optimism, better than any other.
this song has so much meaning for me, i just started singing it today out of no where and had to look it up at 3:51am. My grandfather used to sing this almost every time we drove somewhere it is his favorite song. this song is amazing and i cry when i hear it sometimes and i don't even know why

when I think about my dad and get all deppressed I listen to this song and I feel better. Because I know he is always with me. I have loved this song since I was a kid and I didn't know what genres were. The music on the radio now days makes me wonder "what is this world coming to?"
