Go longtubes sonny. You wont beleive the difference in power and sound. My homies got some american racing longtubes on his 2000 trans am. Their amazing.
Yea these were worthless not that I have a cam in it. Im on a waiting list for some new LPP stainless headers and catted Y. I excited but its gonna be 1 to 2 more months before they come out for sale.
yea thanks for backin me up. I dont want to have trouble with inspections. There is a power difference but obviously not as much as LTs but it also give it a nice look in the engine compartment being that they are the armor-coat ones and does improve the sound. fits the bill for what i need. I didnt rev it past 4k so I didnt think it would be bad on the valvetrain. Hell it doesnt matter now that I got a new valvetrain goin in with my custom cam at the end of the month. I cant hardly wait haha
I understand you position... but I don't think you'll see any gains by adding shorties. What I meant if i didn't explain myself well is, Stock set up is pretty much shorties. Why pay to replace what you aready have/
Jadenll's comment is not fully true. Decent shorty headers /w an ORY will flow way better than stock. Especially on lt1 engines, have you seen the stock manifolds!
how do you like the pacesetter shorty headers? i just ordered some for my truck and i dont know if i should return them for regular pacesetter headers
What kind of slp cat back, lm1 or lm2? Also, are these the pacesetter mids I've seen online, I live in Cali so I was thinking about getting them. Hows the performance?
it is the SLP Loundmouth 1 system and the pacesetter headers are the mid length(shorty) ones. I noticed a decent power increase between the both of them.
I live in Cali. and i know thing inspection but did you loose any torque down low with these?

Why waste your money on shorties? You won't see any increase in power...
Stock set os pretty much shorties to begin with. Go long tubes

If he lives in California he can't get longtubes unless he pays some extra money to pass the smog test..and if he gets pulled over hes screwed
