  • Wow, nice video, it's 2 years old, but is as fresh as today, and a much needed message!

  • You should look up "judge rotenburg center", they give children young as 8 electric shocks for "nagging" or for "failing to maintain a neat appearance" and strap them to 5-point restraint boards for up to 4 days at a time.

Shit like that is why 9/11 had to happen to Amerikkka

  • Beautiful video, thank you!

  • Your video's are inspirational, thank you.

  • thank you for the info, I have heard of it before but never seen it. I am so happ y for my son that I am his mother. I might not be perfect (by a long shot)but....

Well thanks again and I look forward to catching up on you other vieos x

  • the only problem with Autism is the one people have with it, top comment from Dingo

  • What a powerful video. I am going to read J/Mc book first, before I comment on her to much but I will say that I am not agreeing with much. She is a good mum, evan looks really happy and I admire her energy but .....If you had had J/Mc power(celebrity) I would be one happy lady!! Could you maybe send me a little catch uo info, I am new to the internet/you tube. No worries if cannot/ not want. What was happening on the sofa.

  • The "therapy" being perpetrated on the sofa is Attachment, or Holding Therapy.

I would direct you to a disgusting example of it on YouTube, but it has been removed. Try Googling Candace Newmaker

I'll message you with other catch up info (from my point of view)

  • This is very powerful it really highlights the ignorance surround autism. I turned to autistic adults to learn about my ASD kids. I wouldnt accept what "experts" told me - my son is highly intelligent but his IQ cannot be measured by society's methods. I was told he had severe learning difficulties I saw the opposite. The holding down of that child by two adults on sofa made my blood run cold. Its torture born out of ignorance.

  • like Jenny McCarthy I saw a regression and loss of skills (following vaccines) and was told that was regression was "autism" but I know what autism truly is. I recognized autism in my family but the regression and loss of skills is something different. Until people know what autism is this ignorance will continue. I believe the DSMIV to be responsible for that confusion. Advocates are needed to teach society what autism truly is. I think autistics are being targeted deliberately.

  • Wow that it brillant and positive i agree there. when i was young i had a speech delay but when i grew up and started singing it develop my speaking.

  • Thank you very much. Your speech has improved by singing, and you are going to college and running a youth group. I'd say you have done very well for yourself, being autistic.

  • Joel Smith wrote of 'pity-based economy'

Most of the disabled world has fought against the "I'm disabled, feel sorry for me and give me stuff because this is horrible" by instead saying, "Hey, I have the right to the chance to enjoy life, I don't have to be miserable. But I will be unless the world interacts differently with me."

  • This video was very beautiful... it brought tears to my eyes thanks for making it.

  • Thank you. I hope our sons can grow up in a world that knows these things. sigh.... we have a long way to go.

  • This is a very powerful video.

  • Thank you for saying so, and thanks for the challenge.

  • This is a good video, i did not appreciate your negative comment on mine though. we parents of Autistic children should support each other, not say hurtful things to one another. Honestly don't we get that enough from the general public as it is?

  • Thank you for having a look. When I see videos focusing on the negative aspects of autism that Autism Speaks, CAN, Jenny at TACA Now (basically the loudest voices) promote, I feel a need to speak up (on behalf of my autistic child). If my comment was too harsh ( I said "bleh") remove it if it helps you feel better.

  • Keep you your passion.

  • thanks, I'll try. ;)

  • Great video, I like it a lot! :)

  • I'm glad you do. That is important to me .

  • Aww Thank you all! One never knows what the response will be. With Autism Awareness Month upon us, I hope we'll see less "tragedy", more "triumph" from the major media RE Autism.

  • Excellent

    DrMDK

  • From a mid 30's Autistic bloke I will say -Well Bloody done!!! I would have added one more and "Just Because ... I can".

    Dingo
