Hi Andy, The timeline between 3:29 and 3:30 is one of the fuelstands in B system. its where the fuel trucks fill up from. it is stored in 2 semi underground fuel tanks then pummped through many filters and out to the fuelstand where it is then hooked up to the fuel truck.
Unfortunatly not. There is only a small section as you go in the main gate that is accessable to civilians and around the old base housing area. The new Rock barracks is owned by the army and the flightline and shelter area is used by the army air corps. which are both out of bounds.
I don't mean to be rude, but there's no way that is 15 years of neglect - i know, i lived there until 99. But you have some fantastic shots of my old houses
The fuel section (P.O.L.)was closed in 93 and has not been used since, BLDG 409 was my office 408 combat arms and 407 fuels maintanance. 15 years since it was last used and mother nature took over. :-(
I like the caution tag on the pipeline...hey if you have some pics of the pol areas when it was operational you should post a slideshow...WHO THE HELL? POL!!!
No I used to work in the fuel section (P.O.L.) on the base and got permission from the airfield manager to go back on the base and film what i wanted. It brought back some good memories.
I WAS BASED AT WOODBRIDGE-POL 1973-75.I DON'T RECOGNIZE THE BASE. I
STILL HAVE MY 1960 BSA A10 MOTORCYCLE.RAY BURCH WAS MY SUPERVISOR.

I was lucky enough to be stationed there in 1982-83. Lived on both bases. Loved the area and the people.

I graduated from WoodbridgeHS in 85. Its amazing how quickly mother nature can take back what's hers. Shame. What a great set of Bases!
