That ITV logo in it's various forms and the captions don't look very dated after all this time (unlike the you bet/blind date/Beadle programmes), perhaps they should have kept it.
I think if they altered the colours and texture, they'd get away with that logo today. To be honest, that was the most creative ITV logo to date. I have a soft spot for it. In all fairness, I loved 90s ITV so that logo acts as a seal of approval.
I question if you could, I won't argue that it's the most creative ITV logo so far out of... four (?) but that's a bit of a glib statement in itself. The logo represents something that ITV is and hasn't been for several years now, you can't do a TVE and keep the same logo with minor changes for 40 years when everything else about a network shifts.
i know! i was 10 or 11, but Sat night telly was amazing , it was like the real special family treat, .. You Bet was great cos you could compete against your folks.....
Yeah. You Bet was fantastic. The most crazy challenges you ever did see! I remember some guy blindfolded and telling what make and model a car was by hearing the door being shut.
The blond chick at 0:33 seconds, omg who is that. HOTNESS!!!!!!!!!!

That logo screams 80s/90s, it dated very quickly by the middle of the 90s.

It is dated, and plus it wouldn't look right in today web 2.0 age.

It's marketing bollocks 'a web 2.0 age' indeed! :-)

Fine its a phrase, but my point is is that logo would look dated, and would like awkard in ITV's present identity.

I was 18 in 1992. Remember these days well although Beadles About and Blind Date started in the mid 80s. Beadle's About had an awesome theme tune..
