  • jeez i swear it's like every construction site buys their cranes at the same place where the looneytoons coyote shops....

  • 9:53 Hey lightning is tearing up my concert! I'm gonna sit here and watch it!

  • @ActOfRandomChaos i know right id still hit it

  • How does getting shot by lightning mutate her?

  • @TVwatcha01 the lightning went through superman, i dunno....

  • @TVwatcha01 The lightning filtered through superman into her, as if there is something about superman's body that aloud her body to merge with electricity and become electricity.

  • Be careful, man. Myanimatedheroes got his account terminated because of that damn copyright infringement.

  • 4:17

he is back to back with a superman picture AND NOBODY NOTICES THE RESEMBLENCE

  • she should have been black

WHAT RIOTES HAVE YOU BEEN TO JIMMY?

  • she should have been black

  • What an ungrateful brat she is. xD

  • She better be glad she got shocked in the DC universe.

  • i know what clark is thinking at 3:40

  • 1:56 Lex's smile is priceless

  • Shock jock eh?

Sounds like another term for an internet troll..

  • The voice...That's Lori Petty, isn't it? In other words, Tank Girl.

  • why does leslie willis hate superman so much?what did he ever do to her?all he is trying to do is save the world, that's all!

  • ur alwyas getting exclusives from him so just how exclusive are you.....lois' face

  • "First, he's never around when you need him."--Really? Look out your fucking window!

  • For a man of Super intelligence, Lex is easily amused

  • why does all the construction equipment in Metropolis break so easily? Lex is probably behind it, laughing; "Ha! That will take 5 minutes of his time!"

  • Surprised that Luthor listens to her

  • 4:13-4:23 - I love the subtleties in this bit

  • Live Wire is a really big snot!

  • 1:20 THAT GUY IS GREY ~!!!

  • "i guess we'll never know if his pjs have that big red S on them too."

  • She Turned into FREAKAZOID without the internet!

  • @TheRobAlva

LOL! Seems more like FREAKAZETTE to me! ;)

It's good to know I'm not the only one who's reminded of Freakazoid whenever I see Livewire! XD

  • @TheRobAlva

I forgot to mention... that's also a big coincidence that you say that, because the guy that voices the red head photographer that's always with Lois (I can't remember his name at the moment), is also the voice of Dexter Douglas, Freakazoid's secret identity!

  • Lori Petty is the best!!!!

  • My baby! How many times have we heard that in superhero stories?

  • @drumlip IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this gets my vote as the least likely supervillan origin story ever but eh whatever.

  • I love Luthor's reaction to the Anti-Superman rant at 1:58, like "Yeah, THIS is what I want to hear!"

  • i know this is animated and evrything is possible but i have my doubs about that the lighting will give you super powers.

    but if it work´t

    AWSOME :)

  • @swedichboy1000 It's not just lightning... it's lightning that jumped off Superman!

  • Dear GOD. This villain backstory is every bit as dumb as the character itself!

  • @Emidretrauqe She was a popular enough villain that they gave her the Harley Quinn Treatment (A character created for the TV series who became so popular among fans that she was brought into the comic books) a few years ago.

  • @Adamguy2003 Oh? I thought it was the other way around. Knowing that, though, it's.... kind of even worse now D:

  • @Adamguy2003 Make her fight with Garth Ranzz, the Heroic Live Wire (Lightning Lad) that makes part of the new Wanderers!

  • @NickPatrick2 Or she could fight Static Shock, who actually did guest-star with Superman in this continuity.

  • 3:54

*Dun dunuh dunuh nuh-nuh nuh-nuh nuuuuuuhhhhh.....!!*

    so cheesy xD

  • Why would anyone go to a rally outside in the rain?!? I'm sure as heck won't!!!

  • So Tank Girl used to be in the radio...makes sense

  • Ah yes, the ever present city crickets. 1:04

  • It kinda makes no sense why she would stand there starring at the lightning..its like she wanted to have those powers and that she knew she would transform

  • I truly hate Livewire. If they meant to portray her as a villain you love to hate, they suceeded. She is awful before her transformation, and just as awful afterwards. I can never feel sympathy for her.

  • how can she say that she spent her entire life on THAT? it's a small street porn show and I've seen Vages do better! Bad mouthing cops and lying to others doesn't slove anything either! I can't believe she didn't learn any lesson out of this!

  • yah i would be annoyed if all u saw was freakin Superman >_> just like the haiti commercials when the earthquake hit o god! dat shit was annoyin... i litterally seen the commercial in a row right off the back X_X also THX for the upload

  • Hey, that baby looks like my sister when SHE was a baby! Giggling, wearing pink frilly outfits, and bows taped to her head 'cause she made Lex Luthor look like Chewbacca, lol!

  • My god she's a brat

  • this was such a good series.. i was a preteen looking at this on kids wb.. classic..

  • ROFLMAO...Where did the crowd suddenly get eggs to throw?

  • Why does Superman need a spacesuit? He's still in range of the yellow sun AND he has superstrong lungs that can hold a breath for . . . . some extended period of time.

  • metropolis is lucky as fuck that superman doesn't have a temper or a bad attitude

  • One of the audience members actually asked "where's he taking her" as if superman was going to take her to someplace horrible. Where would superman take someone who was injured? hmm? Oh I don't know, the hospital! What kind of person do they think superman is? LOL

  • Makes me wish all these self richious shock jocks would have accidents. Just not with the same outcome. Maybe then they would learn some humility.

  • @NJS1346 These kinds of people blow hard because it stirs up emotion and attracts attention. People get bored by monotone, pedantic lectures by college professors, but they are electrified by emotion and hyberbole by talk show hosts. Hate 'em or love 'em, they have an effect on everyone, and that is better than putting them to sleep.

  • @LordBifford Very well thought out arguement. It's still not getting me to listen to howard stern or mr. (dr) phil. lol

  • @NJS1346 As ashamed I am to admit it, Bill O'Reilly holds my attention much better than my college maths lecturer ever did. This is why I flunked college, am working a lousy job and writing long rants about media pundits on the Internet.

  • @LordBifford For your own sanitiy you should stop watching o'riely. Reason being; he is the most bought and paid for reporter on tv. Fox news used to be the best to listen to, but they have been bought out to the point that I can't watch it without being pissed off. If you disagree look at his discussions on clean energy. In particular, the wind turbines. (those big ass fans) One of the greatest ideas put into play and he's been trying to smash it since they started going up.

  • i love aupergirl

  • is the VA for Livewire the same girl that voiced Harley Quinn in Batman?

  • @robblindsay No. Livewire was voiced by Lori Petty.

  • How is Superman a conman? What kind of con could possibly involved pretending to be an alien from a doomed planet in our space, developing superhuman strength and the power to fly, and fighting evil villains 22 - 27 minutes a week? Superman doesn't charge money; he doesn't even have an address for anyone to send money to even if they wanted to thank him for his help. Most of the characters in the show don't even know his name! If it IS a con, it's a terrible one!

  • I hate it when people like Livewire and General Eliling try to make superheroes seem like bad guys. I know this is just a cartoon but they should keep their mouths shut and be thankful that people like Superman were out there saving their lives

  • Lori Petty was perfect for this role. She IS Livewire.

  • Unless your name is Lex Luthor why would anyone hate Superman?

  • It pays the bills!

  • 1:42 Superman's best supporter POPEYE!

  • Lois Lane looks like Wonder Woman! LOL!

  • Tank Girl's mind in Jett Girl's body.

  • Lesilie Willis got the shock Therapy from hell when she became Livewire

  • Why does she just stand there like a doofus at 9:57?

  • ...Where did they get those eggs?

  • @blade10000 My guess is that she predicted that the police would show up (not because of the rain, but because of the noise) and there was an egg vendor nearby.

  • @Android2137 ....There are such things as egg vendors? Wow. The more you know, I guess.

  • @blade10000 It was just a guess. I don't think they exist most of the time. Just at little parties like these!

  • @Android2137 Make senses.

  • So Leslie "Livewire" Willis basically represents everyone on the internet who hates on Superman and yet can't come up with a legit argument to explain why. XD

  • So your saying... if a girl wants to gain super electric powers all they have to do is stand on a stage during a lightning storm...... please dont let my sister see this :S lol

  • oh my god, it's tank girl! run for the hills!

  • both batman and superman animated series rocked

  • With an attitude like that she must have gotten her ass whooped by her parents and on punishment as a kid. LOL!

  • @gibbs615 actually, if that were true, she wouldn't be that bad today. one thing the law has gotten in the way of is how parents cant discipline their kids through means of an ass whippin

  • Contraversy my foot, what a tasteless jock !

  • the only good thing to ever come from Stuper Man in my opinion is Livewire. she is the best!

  • Livewire is on of my favorite and one of the hottest super-villanesses ever along wit HarleyQuinn and Poison Ivy

  • She is hot. She reminds me of Pink. And how did her skin change colors when she was eletrocuted?

  • Lol, Lex listening to Livewire is too funny!

  • 7:43 the reporter has no face. the Question perhaps?

  • 2:55 at first i thought she was gonna say condom XD

  • i think it is lobo

  • @ 2:34 Lobo is that you????? O_o

  • @thamisfit2238 Nah, it's Bibbo. Lobo beat him up and took his voice actor.

  • why were the crowd carring eggs around :L

  • Hmm, Leslie Willis isn't too bright and neither are her fans. Case in point: Look, it's the guy who can benchpress a mountain! Let's throw garbage at him!

  • @wanderingbloodlust12 It's because they KNOW by now that he won't retaliate.

  • " Straight into the lion's den "..... Clark sounds a tad more sarcastic than he used to. I can remember back when he played the role of " spineless milk toast " to the hilt.

  • whos the voice of livewire?

  • Lori Petty. That's the actress.

I've seen her on Tank Girl, that show and the Masters of Horror episode The Fair Haired Child.

  • Livewire- What's the deal with you and Superman hu

Lois- What are you talking about

Livewire- Aw come on your always gettin exclusives with him just how exclusive are you two

    Lois- Its not like that

Livewire- Oh its not hu I gess well never know if his PJs have that big red S on them too

ah how i love the 90s

  • There's a lesson here :

Keep media mavens ( Howard Stern, Ann Coulter, & such ) away from high levels of electricity or gamma - rays.

Can you imagine this scenario happening to Ann Coulter, possibly giving her super - powers ? Oy !!

  • definitely true.

and Howard Stern - the big pervert - will probably start trying to get it on with women, just because he has super powers.

  • @JediMasterLego

Nothing new about that !!!! Ann Coulter would be trying to incinerate or crush everyone that didn't agree with her. She'd weld a metal mask to her face like Dr. Doom.

    Rush Limbaugh would hulk out & go on a rampage - " RUSH SMASH ! " or " It's Limbaugh - in' Time !! ".

Pat Robertson w / go flying around the world trying to wipe out anything that looked remotely Satanic, no one w / be safe !!

  • Or Rush Limbaugh... Oh God, the Zeppelin Lord.

  • @Caithness19

Rush - boy, I didn't know it was possible for a blimp to get drug - addicted !!

  • @knoxvilleguy2 Actually, if you look closely, the lightning bounced off of SUPERMAN before hitting Leslie, turning her into LiveWire. I think something about his Kryptonian DNA supercharging the lightning led to her getting her superpowers instead of just being fried to a dead crisp like a good little bratty radio show ho - I mean, host.

  • @ztslovebird - There were scenarios in " Superboy " ( The 80's ) & " Lois & Clark " where superpowers could be redirected from Superman to Lois or someone else by a spike of high voltage / bolt of lightning, particularly if it passed through a chunk of Kryptonite.

  • @knoxvilleguy2 She wouldn't have lightning powers, she would have ice powers.

  • @2814haljordan - How so ?

  • @knoxvilleguy2 she is a pretty cold woman.

  • @knoxvilleguy2 AAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • well shes wrong about watch she started talking about on 4:31

  • TANK GIRL! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

  • Define Irony: construction guy agrees with shock jock about superman but then gets saved by him.

  • Man, just how shoddy is engineering in Metropolis? Everything breaks down eventually one way or another.

  • Well about 70% of everything in the city was made by Lex-Corp so I think thats your answer right there.

  • she sounds like a black chick from the 70s

  • more like a black child

  • yeah...lol

  • 6:10

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    DEATH

  • smallville f'd up her mythology and made her a meteor freak. producers should have watched this episode. sure it was in budget and saved time on a backstory, but it comes off as laziness. this episode however like the rest of Supes TAS was so amazingly well done.

  • Pretty awesome that Livewire was eventually adapted into the comics themselves, like Harley Quinn.

  • theres always someone losin they damn baby

  • i want to be livewire for halloween(:

  • ungrateful bastards lol how you tounge down the man that saves your whooole damn planet lol

  • lol!!!

    thx for posting!

  • who brings eggs to a party??

  • 09:10 the cops brought the monkey

  • 5:37 Hm, where have I heard that line before? (Sarcasism)

  • She looked better before her mutation, didn't she? Though, her attitude sort of overpowers her good looks, am I right?

And I think the fisherman was voiced by Brad Garret.

  • no she didnt look good before or later in my opinion i mean if she didnt wear that punk clothes before maby shed be better but i think her metahuman form is cooler but still ugly

  • I'd like to see Live Wire go up against Black Vulcan or Static.

  • There'd be a clash of the thunder titans!

  • 05:37, what is it with this town and mothers who can't keek a grip on thier baby strollers?

  • Well, it's overly cliche` in cartoons like these. So it's expected.

  • Lori Petty really makes this character work.

  • should nt sups get super electrik powers too

  • Comment removed

  • Why didn't Lesslie jump off the stage when the lightning hit Superman?

  • she was tried but then the lighting hit her

  • yeah, i share the same view as you. i mean, isn't it so obvious that whenever something happens, clark will disappear. Right after that, superman appears?

  • Okay this has been bothering me for ages. Can someone explain to me why people cannot tell that superman is clark kent, or vice versa? The glasses are not a good excuse. Is it part of his power to block his face?

  • lol, I have always wonderd the same thing. He takes off his glasses, changes clothes and suddenly no one reckognizes him.

  • I never been into superman that much. The only reason I am watching this cartoon is because Smallville has sucked me in..

But it's so annoying that no one can tell that it is him and nothing has explained why...

  • Hah... Yeah, the other fellow is talking about the stupid Silver Age (1950s and 1960s) explanation. The current explanation is that there isn't one. I mean, why does yellow sunlight make a species that evolved under a red dwarf star have the ability to shoot frickin' lasers from their eyes? Don't think too hard, you'll ruin it for yourself. And give Superman a chance. When done right, Superman, Supergirl, et cetera, actually make for some great science fiction stories.

  • @NJS06 *facepalm* I honestly think you people can't read.

  • @BlackShadowGX Can't read what?

  • @Starcomet He also changes his stance, hairstyle, voice, acts like a dork, etc. Or simple it's a fictional world, don't put too much thought into it.

  • The glasses are fused with hypnotic magic. This tricks people and makes them unable to identify Clark and Superman as the same person.

  • Among many of the best works of Lori Petty, I think. :-)

  • And that how she became LiveWire >_>

  • i feel you man. can't believe they destroyed livewire and parasite. i hate how they made them meteor freaks and pretty much killed them off (well at least one of them).

  • I know it was a horrible use of them, I was expecting them to be main bad guys for season 9, and to follow the actual creation story, and i don't get the point of tess she's not as threatening as she is creepy (they shold've introduced her when they introduced jimmy to give her character the same chemistry as they have in this series)

  • ITS ALWAYS A LADY SCREAMING "MY BABY!"

  • haha, i know right.

she always goin "my baby, my baby!" same in brave new world.

  • @hereticofyew

    thats cliches for you

  • aaaahhh.... the really good shows... wayne head and earthworm jim rocked! you don't find good shows like superman and batman much anymore i think. oh well.

  • That Livewire is obnoxious and has big mouth and never seems to stay closed, but she is good as far as fighting goes.

  • In her defense, she's not as horrible as other female commentors like Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Dr. Laura, & Laura Ingraham (I'm talking about their personities more than their politics).

  • Livewire is Lori Petty, The Star of "A League of their own" and "Tank Girl."

  • Call me nostalgic, but watching these earlier episodes of Superman the Animated Series brings back memories of Kids WB during their early years when their shows were mostly Steven Speilberg productions, Looney Tunes shorts, and short lived series (ex. Earthworm Jim, Waynehead,etc.).

  • The voice actress who plays Roxy Rocket in that ONE Batman episode and a cameo on Superman, is one of my favorite voice actresses other than Livewire's.
