That happened to me my first frog died the day I got it and was shipped in a small plastic bag like so with warmers in it like what the heck brookstone?
this is stupid. that sucks that his frog died but the frogs never should have been packaged like that in the first place. its the idiots fault who packaged them. i work at brookstone and usually the bag is filled up halfway with water, they gotta package and ship them somehow!!
My daughter got a Frog-O-Sphere for Christmas. Our frogs were delivered on the coldest day in Florida with a heating pad way down at the bottom of the box...wasn't doing them much good. I got them in and we've had them almost two weeks and they seem to be adjusting much better...but I'm not real happy with their "environment" Seems too small...and they didn't send the snail. Hopefully, they will survive - if not, they won't be replaced.
So I was pretty sure that Brookstone is a store that sells overpriced crap that no one really wants or needs. Now I know that they also sell animal cruelty in a 'convenient' box. I don't blame the company as so much as the people buying the frog-o-sphere. It's the same people that have no respect or regard for our beautiful ecosystem and the animals(yes even amphibians) that habitat it. For shame.
@annchalee79 I'd blame both really. I'd say the majority of these are sold to kids who don't know any better. Basically they are teaching children it's OK to treat animals like s**t.
why would u do that? can't your kid just play with toys.. or if you really want him to learn the responsability of pet-owning, why not adopt a LIVE animal from a shelter? Shipping live animals is just cruel - and retarded.
Please write to Brookstone and demand that they stop selling "Frog-O-Spheres." Don't shop at Brookstone and urge your family to do the same. Hopefully they will get the message that this sort of cruelty is unacceptable.
Brookstone should absolutely stop selling these. It's basically a deathtrap for these animals. I can't imagine shipping a living being in that little space with so little air/water... plus, no food. Brookstone should just sell furniture or rugs, instead of pets
hey dude if you want to see a frog go to a pond and just look at hem DON'T buy them and have them shipped to you!! That frog is not a toy its a living breathing animal!!!!!
That poor little thing! Its just not right for them to treat an animal like like that, how is that even legal? To ship a living creature around the country, wrapped up in bubble wrap like a freakin toy? :( Its not right.

I can't believe people buy these. Money is what makes this cycle continue. How many animals need to die like this?
