How's the consistency of the sand? Are they getting that soft, fine powder that Cancun has typically been known for or are we talking about the pebbly/shelly stuff that was used during the last restoration?
Good question. When I was first on it, I noted that is was full of broken shells and pebbly. But it was less so than the beach recovery after Hurricane Wilma. My guess is that once things settle, you can go barefoot on it. But it will not be like the beach at Club Med or the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach.
