Mariah Carey's version is way softer, better and prettier but yet powerful! This Avalon singer screams too much and unnecessarily which steals away all the beauty of the song! Needless to say, her exaggerated SCREAMING at the end especially, sounds absolutely terrible and it's totally annoying!

And yes, Mariah and Walter Afanasieff indeed co-wrote this beautiful piece.
