I've noticed all of these American muscle cars and SUVs most prominent in Germany, and what I'm finding out is that the Germans are probably the most pro-American country out of the EU, despite the US' close ties to England who out of the EU seem to criticize us the most.
Thank yoy Germany! I have often wisit yor contry but i dint see any american cars.
Camaro-69, Chevelle-70, Impala -59. Impala-66, all whith BB. Is there any meeting thath yoy can rekommend? You have wery nice cars!! Greatings from Sweden
@1959raptor Hello to Sweden. I live in Germany near Munich and at some weekends in the year there are some AmericanCar meetings around here. Will have to join some of them this summer 'cause my '71 Mustang Mach 1 is finished after 15 years of restauration.
Killer cars, man. I would kill for a 69' Charger myself, but a 68' is next on my list of Classic Cars to get. (Mustang of any year is the very last on my list!) DODGE FTW!!!
Great cars, at least Europe still has a few American muscle cars. Not many around my neck of the woods. I still get laughed at because I love mopars. Oh well, I get the last laugh because I have the cars. Most people are all talk. Have a '68 Charger 440 Auto, Dark Green and a '70 Challenger 440 4 spd. Plum Crazy. Good to see both together in this video. My problem is that I can't drive both at the same time. Thanks for the video.
Whoever is laughing is really just showing a broad range of ignorance. Especially since these cars now bring anywhere from $20k to over $100k depending on options and condition.
There's a reason why Mopars are so expensive now. It's just that the general public has realized how awesome Mopar muscle cars really were. They were so much more than any other car of the time as far as performance and looks and that just caught on over time, so now you see the converts now spending thousands (sometimes millions) at Barrett-Jackson. Still makes me laugh at that though, having been a REAL Mopar guy before everyone thought they were cool LOL
In the late 70s/early 80s I grew up in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. While most of the kids around me worshiped Camaros, Chevelles, and Mustangs; I had a 72 Charger then a 73 Challenger. My friend at the time had a beautiful metallic blue 74 Cuda with rally stripes. We were laughed at, mostly by Chevy fanatics, but I knew these cars were special and given time, would skyrocket in value.
I like all the old classics (yes, including Camaros...LOL) but MOPARS will always be my favorites.
man i sure wish i couldve been living back then, muscle cars are my favorite. especially Chargers! I would take a Charger over a Mustang or a Camaro or a Chevelle any day, but those are still pretty nice cars. My dream car is a black, super charged 1968 Dodge Charger
beautiful old dodge muscle, i'm a dodge man myself, and i'll tell you, the old ones never die if you treat em fairly, alternatively you can beat the hell out of them and theyll usually keep ticking too heh. good vid thanks ;)
Just as vintage German machinery is appreciated here (US), it's nice to see American hardware roaming the streets of Germany. A classic car is a classic car, regardless of origin. I imagine alot of those cars were brought over by servicemen back in the day & sold later on.
Challenger's were the best. With those thin buckets it's like you were sliding along the ground. I can't believe my best friend sold his for 600 bucks. It had the Rally dash with the auto console too.
They put restrictions on American cars going into countries with autobahn type roads because for some reason they think we drive like idiots...But they have supercars that wipe ours off the road and no restrictions on them.
my response to your comment metallicastarwarsfan is because a challenger going down the road in autobahn at 150mph = crash, there beautifull cars, heck i own one, but highly unstable at that rate of speed your almost sure to crash in which i rather be dead than see my challenger go into surgery
I owned a 1968 Dodge Charger! Was my first car. V8 engin, dual glass packs; it was 10 yrs. old when I got it & it beat out a Corvet one morning on the beltline in Mad City WI!!!!! Hahahah!!!!! JGA great times lololol
Whenever I see American Iron in Europe I always think of the original owners were GI's stationed in Europe who did not have the privilege of using the Military Airlift Command to bring them home.
yeah iknow i did that same thing i sold 70 charger r/t 2 days before coming home for almost nothing that was in 81 had that car for almost 4 yrs in germany it was fun on autobahn.
that is BS. you can count these cars in the cities with 2 hands mostly. there are almost none driving here. the mass is in the USA sitting in collectors and car lovers garages or being auctioned there. we have maybe a few being sold here as you get masses at dealers and ebay. get real :D
Ah, Mopars. My dream is to get a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, hollow it out, and put in a Fuel-Injected 392 Hemi V8 (525 HP), An automatic transmission, racing tires, anti-sway bar suspension, put in a new interior plus air conditioning and a new radio, custom rims, a SICK sound system, and paint it Orange with racing stripes!
