"Stuck" is a good word for it. That's the way I feel when I'm back in the U.S. where I was born and raised. My wife is from a small village called Ban Hua Dong, near the town of Suwannaphum, which is near the city of Roi-Et. Your wife might know of these places. The Isaan people are the backbone of Thailand. It's too bad that they aren't treated with mutual respect and appreciated by other Thais for their contributions. Your photos remind me of my experiences there. Thanks for posting this.
@Cambodia69 Same thing! My ex was from Roi-et originally. Went over there for the first time last October with her (my) parents! It was the trip of a lifetime! I'll never forget the kind, fun-loving, warm people I met there!
We were in the USA for two weeks just now returning on Monday. We had a great time in Las Vegas, Atlanta and New York. We changed planes in Houston Texas.
It was our first time to the states and have many fantastic memories of the trip - maybe I will post on here.

I know Ban Hua Dong, I have been there before. I am from Ban Nam-sai. Thank you for your message and kind words about the Issan people.
