  • when i rode that ride one of the warnings was "dont close your eyes or you will suffer of sight"

  • I rode this when it first came out and got a panic attack. It was very rough.

  • I'm going for the first time in 8 school days (Feb. 10th!!) and I'm really excited. I'm 15 and I want to go on this no matter what. Any advice? I love roller coasters.

  • @w00tuser101 just relax and let the ride take you wherever

  • @ericabarker: Don't feel silly about it. That stuff normally happens alot. The first time I went on it, when I got off, even though I was thrilled with it, I got really dizzy and had to sit for awhile. Since Mission: Space is using the same technology that NASA uses for sending off its astronauts, and since this is supposed to be "astronaut training", don't be surprised if alittle sickness happens. Gets the best of us all :) .

  • @ThatAmazingGirl34 eh. i went on this 2 years ago(orange). didnt get sick at all. the amount of Gs that is put out by this ride is about 2.5. an actual launch is about 3 Gs, so its not that far off. damn this ride was a blast though. went on it 3 times while there.

  • I went on this ride last weekend. Usually I dont ever get motion sickness, and thought I would be fine, but I did end up VERY sick. During the ride right before we got to mars I dry heaved once, and then after the ride was over I couldnt walk straight and I was soaking wet with sweat and GHOST white. I should have just went on the green one, I didnt think it would be that bad.....I felt so silly.

  • Also, as a former cast member, I can tell you no one died on the ride. One kid had a pre-existing heart condition, which is why he died. Again, if people read the warnings... Disney cannot MAKE you use common sense.

  • No one can, if someone dies on the ride either it is the person's fault or age's.

  • I totally agree! FINALLY, someone who agrees with me! I get SO AGGRIVATED when I hear that someone died at Disney and didn't use their common sense while on the ride! Ugh.... I could go on and on about that! (lol.)

Oh, and btw, I saw you said that you were a former cast member. I'm going in June for the Disney College Program, and I SPECIFICALLY asked to work at Mission: Space. Any advice before I go in June??? Thanks!

  • gmspeedfreak, there are only about 200 signs posted before you get on the ride. You should have read them and listened to the warnings.

  • hey guys both me and my wife got quite sick after riding on this ride, just 2 weeks ago.

The warnings seemed to not alert you enough of serious risk of injury.

I felt like my heart was going to cave in and my wife fainted afterwards for around 1 hour. We nearly had to search for a doctor.

I don't like this ride and think only the bravest should go on it.

  • I don't know what you did, but its your fault that you got "hurt".

  • @gmspeedfreak hm..you've scared the crap out of me.

when i was 11 we went to disney. and as soon as i sore that warning i was like "get me off here now!!" i'm not good with confined spaces.

i was determined to give it a shot this year because i'll be 17...but now i'm not too sure lol

  • @Cla900 its not that bad. u rnt in a very tight space, and its actualy fairly roomy. if you can handle some of the worse rollar coasters out there (i hate rollar coasters though ^_^) you can handle this. it really isnt that bad and i believe that they have made it less intense since it first came out.

  • ... lol

  • This wa sthe second thrill ride i ever went on , and hearing those warnings scared the crap out of me lmao.

  • I work at Mission: Space, and the reasoning behind the numerous warnings are for a couple reasons. One, so people with health conditions are aware that it may aggrivate something they are currently dealing with, thus making it more dangerous to their body. Two, for legal and safety reasons (every ride must inform the public about health risks). And, three, we have people that will STILL not pay any attention to those warnings, get off the ride and puke and complain we DIDN'T warn them **sigh**

  • awsome me too, mission space for the win!!!

  • well people, theres a billion warnings because a bunch of people died on the riding, meaning they dont want it happening again? and paying all that money!

  • no they didnt retard

  • only 2 people died...

  • haha i remember that and i saw like 20 ppl step out of line haha

  • i really hated that ride. made me really sick

  • I love this ride, but they go WAY overboard with the warnings.

How many times do we need to be asked if we are sure we don't want to drop out?!

The g-forces aren't even that intense to be fair.

It is quite tame, but REALLY fun at the same time!

  • I have mild claustrophbia and I've never been on this ride. I dont know if I would be ok. The "capsule" that the ride is in itself doesn't seem to look like it makes me uneasy. But what's the seating like?

  • You don't have bags of space around you, but it isn't that small really.

Imagine sitting on a plane in the economy cabin. You have about that amount of space, maybe a little more.

But here is why a lot of claustrophobic people freak out...

-You sit down in your seat and pull your restraints down.

-They close the doors on each side of the capsule.

-The controll pannel thing infront of you gets pushed slowly towards the riders so that they can reach the buttons.

    Have a great ride!

  • Even on certain looping rollercoasters I sometimes feel like I"m "trapped". I have freaked out before because of that...

I don't mind an economy plane cabin.

  • it quite bad the wall in front of u nearly drops on u

  • there are many warnings now its crazy!

  • Missing Space?

  • Mission space rocks!

  • My grandmother shit her pantaloons while being accommodated onto the ride. Sure it was embarrassing but we love grandma just the same.

  • there was soo many warning i was panicing

  • who is the voice of the warning...i heard it was parminder nagra but it doesnt sound like her to me.....

  • i mean the green one is better not the orange one the orange one is scary

  • i hated the original ride it made me fell like i couldnt breath the other one is better the orange one

  • me too delana1347 i panicked sooooooo bad i am so clausterphobic i had anxiety attack/panic my lttle brother had to calm me down i was breathing so heavy,i felt light headed and it was a panicky disgusting feeling@

  • My mom almost died on this ride :(

    She nearly passed out

  • Just wanted to point out that there is a distinct difference between "almost died" and "NEARLY passed out"...let's be honest here. She felt faint after getting off of an intense ride. She didn't "almost die".

  • same here, I through up for 24 hours, couldn't eat a thing ! fuck that ! why is this attraction still open ?

  • lol my mom got so sick riding this ride.. she trew up during the ride.. thank god for this vomit bags they put inside of it... by the way I work at Disney but I never expected it to be that bad.

  • i love epcot. i love to see all the europeans come here. its really aweseome.

  • I went on Orange last time, now I'm going to go on Green - it's nice to try Orange out first. Even on Orange, when you get out you really feel like you were in space!

  • You have it mixed up. Orange is the intense version and Green is the version without the spinning.

  • this ride is cool it was scary i went on that ride before anyone died when it first came out

  • there are sooo many warnings now its crazy!

  • missing space warning?

  • yep one of 1,000,000 warnings in mission space

  • I have never chosen to "bypass this experience".
