  • The info needs to be updated..........Hep C can most definitely be passed through sex, especially rough anal sex. Also many people that were treated need to check to see if they were cured or if the disease is in the dormant stage.

  • Hep C can also be transfered through blood transfusion. (before 1989)

  • 1:14 SHE'S NOT A DOCTOR... she a hood rat.

  • The government needs to get up off there butt's and do something, I've been really sick lately cause my stupid dr's don't know what to do and they would give me mass quanities of stuff with acetimophen in it which I believe made it way worse.

  • thank you youtube for this information.

  • so basically,

if you are a criminal or junkie you have this virus.

  • @gooman989898 no not true, they still don't know everything about hep C. 350 million ppl have it and there are not all criminals or junkie's.

  • Very informative if you are a drug user but it is also entertaining. I like the old man who says, " You probably could not tell by looking at me but I am an old time dope feen"

  • this video is sooooo full of wrong information! "if ur an IV drug user you have hep C" wtf... if you're going to make a video at least put up correct facts.

  • Take that cap off and stick it in a pot put the heat up and make that water boil. Take the needle off and stick on a fork boil it for 6 minutes or more . Put the needle of and suck it up aim the needle to the sink and let it flow. Do again for 15 times or more then your alright to drug until your sore!

  • Hep C is the same as HIV in transmission. It is passed sexually but usually in high risk promiscuous groups like prostitutes, their customers or non-monogamous homosexuals. It is as easy to spread as HIV through sex. Again it depends on how many sexual contacts you have with infected people over a period of time. Both are not transmitted easily through sex but are epidemic in IV drug populations.

  • i feel sick!

  • This comment is only meant for the person that commented b-fore-me ANDREANICOLO61 no the vid is very clear on its purpose is just to let the needle sharrer know that there is a cure and to seek help and know it is availialble!

  • This video makes it seem like everyone who has hep c has done drugs, wrong. Yes the main group of people with hcv have done drugs in the past, but there are thousands of people who have never done IV drugs and still have hep c. I got a blood transfusion in 86 and I am currently on treatment for hep c and have been cleared now for 6 months and I have never used drugs. The audience for this video should be wider, too specific.

  • i just just diagnosed a few days ago...i start on treatment monday.if i knew what i know now about hep c before i started injecting drugs(ive been clean for almost a year)i would have been a lot more careful.good luck everybody!GET TESTED!

  • i'm hep c positive. have been for 15 years. currently on treatment, and i got it from having a tattoo done in a place that was clean. didn't get it from used tattoo neddles, but from ink pots used on some1 hep c positive. luck of the draw....

  • i know what hepatitis c is a virus

  • Not everyone who is Hep C is or was a intervenise drug user. I was diagonised Hep C after being pricked by a needle and I have never used drugs other than marijuana. And in regards to it not being a death sentence this is so untrue - my father died from Hep C because his liver's shut down and then the rest of his organs followed. I would call that a death sentence. Some are lucky and can be infected and go through there whole life without it affecting them some are not as fortunate.

  • Could do better...

  • call an HCV group like American Liver Foundation or HCV advocate to get answers more accurate than other persons comments. also dietary infomation. they get training and have access to doctors. ps. also please warn your friends that blood to blood can be as simple as trying on an ear ring.

  • Someone could write which diet is better for this disease, please...My husband has hepc, genotypes 3 with cirrhosis....

  • Diet tips...Reduce red meat intake(small portions at a sitting)...Take away the salt shaker and use much less....avoid foods fortified with iron...less starch(pasta, breads, cakes etc..).

Drink endless amounts of water...Eat plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, chicken but not much fish and NO shellfish. Don't eat large meals rather eat small amounts all day long.

DO NOT TAKE ANY ANTACIDS FOR UPSET STOMACH!

  • How about Magnesia DAK 500mgx3 every 3 days????

Thanks if you can help, have had HCV since the 60's.

  • and the doc said he only had 5 years to LIVE his borther died of the same thing but that old man said he had it for 20 years so i hope my dad will be alright

  • if they catch it early enough i think it is quite treatable, he might have to be on strong drugs for 6 months or so, which might make him quite ill for a while before he gets better. I hope he is ok, people can live a perfectly normal life with it even if they're not totally cured. why not talk to one of the guys here who has it, they would know more. good luck

  • No doctor should ever say that. If true I'd be dead long ago. I have one failed (tips)shunt and one working one in my liver and await transplant and my doctor never said anything like that to me. I expect to live another twenty years after that, it's no longer a death sentence.

  • I'VE HAD FOR 40 YEARS.

  • )= my dad has it but guys yes theres a cure i am 11 and my dad has it and the he said there was a cure and my uncle had it he got rid of it but my dad dosent have the money to get the cure so me might die )= cry

  • Ok, ok, somebody please help me to undersdtand, is there a cure or just a treatment? as far as I know there is no cure for it. the info in this video is good until that last part, so i don't know if I can believe/ trust the rest of the video

  • Lastly and most important is STRESS and high physical activity. Because your liver is damaged it doesn't flow through the portal vein properly, avoid elevating your heartbeat too much as this can lead to problems, Trust me!!

  • i have hep c .i was on a course of interferon and ribivarin for six months it didnt clear the virus up there are 3 genotypes 1 2 and 3 1 being most difficult with 50% success rate mine was 2a which is supposedly easier with 80% succes rate

  • I have been where you are at and I know it is one the toughest things you'll do in life, but don't give up. I've done all the needles and all the pills without any luck. Two years ago I had a major bleed and almost lost my life, spent 42 days in coma and 68 days in Hospital. I have End Stage Liver Disease and am awaiting liver transplant.

  • I have a shunt in my liver and take Beta-Blockers to slow systemmic pressures. If there's some pieces of advice I could give it would be Control your diet and drug intake. Your liver has to process that. A good diet will improve your health, cut down on starch and red meat.

  • my cousin my ungle and my friend all have it I don,t no how my friend or my ungle but my cousin got it from sharing a neaadle with my friend who at the time was her boyfriend they where drugs users not no more
