  • after 3 years ... stil get goosebumps

  • 2008? jeezzz where has the time gone?

  • Not only do I love this movie, but I really like how the buildup was so high and yet it still delivered and exceeded those expectations.

A very rare thing in Hollywood for sure.

  • I love how is says HQ but a;ll it is is 360p!

    LOVE IT WITH ME!!!

    LOVE IT!!!

  • You call that HQ?

  • Jack and Heath played two completely different types of Joker. I know its the same role but i honestly dont think you can compare the the two. Although gotta say, brilliant performance by Ledger, such a shame he died. I egerly await The dark Knight rises.

  • heath was waaaay better than jack

  • Heath did an amazing job right up there with Jack but I would give it to heath by a hair

  • I hope 2face is still alive and he makes an appearance in the 3rd one.

  • best movie ever.

  • @philliefan2014 not a chance

  • HQ? Really?

  • HQ my ass

    i cant see any thing

  • fav movie this is gotta be the best sequel ever for movies

joker is the best villian ever pity the same actor wont play him cos he is dead

  • this trailer is good enough to be nominated for best picture

  • This trailer is better than the movie was.

  • this was the best movie ever...... its amazing... too bad heath died :( oh no here come the waterworks :(:(:(

  • Deep down, we all know that the only way to beat Ledger in his performance of the Joker would be to hire an actual psychopath.

  • @BlueKatanaWarrior and whats wrong with that its done wonders for me

  • This trailer reveals too many epic moments in the film.

And.. this is not HQ. Nice LQ. :P

  • IMO the trailers for this movie didn't do it justice. this is the best movie i have ever seen but the trailers make it seem...meh. but DAMN this movie was FUCKING AMAZING!

    R.I.P Heath

  • you wont kill me out of some misplaced sense of self righteousness, and i wont kill you because youre just too much fun! i love him so much, i totally get harley

  • WOW, HQ!

    ...

    ..

    Not.

  • heath ledger was so fucking badass as the joker he made the movie epic. and thats the honest to god truth.

"this town deserves a better class of criminal...and im gonna give it to them."

    rip heath <3

  • bet me and i challenge to everyone we will never see the same performance again this performance is historical and will b impossible to anyone to come up even close to it......unfortunate but true we will miss ledger ......

  • one of the best movies great acting for joker so realistic

  • huge movie!!!

    brilliant performances!!!

  • great movie

  • this should have beat slumdog for best picture i find

  • Absolutely.

  • I found slumdog alright but kinds off a boring rip off off millionaire.... yeah I agree.

  • I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!!!!!!!! "The Dark Knight" was, palinly and simply, a masterpiece.

  • @alex123216 i dunno, i mean, dark knight had the best acting, but slumdog just had something about it

  • @alex123216 this should have at least been nominated for best picture

  • @alex123216 Yeah, but people in the Academy are fundamentalists. So until most of them die off, we're gonna see even more travasties happen, like not giving TDK Best Picture, Screenplay, and Leading Role (Heath).

  • @alex123216 Well the dark knight was not pollitically corrrect. Of course it lost.

  • heath was THE best villain ever....

    i mean...

this was the first movie where i actually kinda hoped that the hero would loose

  • someone who watched the movie know that batman was not the hero. so harvey dent was it and he loses. but i know what u mean.

  • @cloud26793

My uncle didn't really like the Joker character when he first saw it. He said it was alright, but he liked Nicholson's better.

A week later, I saw him again and he said he couldn't stop thinking about that performance. His voice, his lines, his mannerisms. He said he's never seen a character who just went through his mind over and over again.

    So amazing.

  • @cloud26793 totally agree :D

  • @cloud26793 To be fair.. The joker did win. He ruined Harvey Dent, killed the police commisioner, Rachel Dawes, Ruined batman's reputation.. his mark will spill over into the third film

  • @mynameismickael everything but killing the police commisioner

  • @mynameismickael Joker wins because he manages to make batman consider quitting after killing Rachel

  • @cloud26793 changed comic book movies forever

  • @cloud26793 He did in a way

  • @cloud26793 but in the end....we all lost..

  • @cloud26793 no he wasnt, what about michael corleone, sonny wortzik, jules winnfield, tommy devito, alex delarge, scorpio or frank booth?

  • @rampskater0102 Joker owned mafia

  • @cloud26793 Yeah, this makes all of Heath's hero roles look like vilian roles! But did he have to wear a dress?

  • yeah nicholson has the insanity of the joker down and noone will beat him outta that but what about the reason why the joker is such a feared and favorited batman villian....the killings, tortures, and anything else that would make a supervillian feared I STILL get the chills when ledger tortures that guy to death and it may just be 'cause I haven't seen the movie in years but I kinda don't remember Nicholson doing anything like that

  • that niggers gonna get us all killed XD

  • Heath Ledger has not only eclipsed Jack Nicholson as the best actor ever to portray the Joker, his Joker has also eclipsed Anthony Hopkins' Hannibal Lecter as the greatest and most chilling villain in cinema history.

The rest of the movie wasn't bad either.

  • I agree that this representation of the Joker is really good, but id say Anthony Hopkins Hannibal in silence of the lambs is simply better. HOwever I know im not gonna change your mind im just statding my opinion

  • hey lets not leave out Alex from A Clockwork Orange which is really just ledger's version of the joker with out the makeup

  • Alex was definitely an inspiration for Heath's Joker and I remember when Heath first said that and I was sold that he knew what he was talking about! That excited me a lot, because even before he said that, I thought Alex DeLarge was VERY Joker-like.

But I wouldn't say he's "Ledger's version of the Joker without makeup." Alex is a teen version of Joker in a way, but not the same character. Alex was much more human, showing fear and self pity at times. Joker just doesn't care about anything...

  • ...he has no more fear or pity, even for himself. Where Alex was satisfied just kicking bums and raping women, the Joker's destructiveness is much more grandiose and wide-scale. He prefers to stir up as much chaos as possible, using "dynamite, gunpowder, and GASOLINE". The Joker does what he does to make a point about society, wheras Alex does what he does to satisfy his own insane desires. Both are very similar but also completely different.

  • For some reason Mephisto came up into my mind when i sat in the movies.

Seems like im not the only one. Just yesterday i read an article on an newspaper, They discribed him with many Names and Titels. a.o. Mephisto.

Idk why everyone makes the connection to Alex tho. Watching aCO 3 times in the past i always thought deep down Alex was someone with a very weak in plain rotten core. Wanna-be Psych.

Maybe just my way to see him, idk.

But the Joker couldnt be more different then Alex to me

  • He men this video is NOT HQ , check my videos and you see what is high quality!!!

  • yes oscar for a ginius! =(

  • This movie made me embarrassed to have balls that had dropped off, I never thought anyone would ever say that.

  • well i'm a conservative, and i'd have to say hands down he'd be the next brando and he became/invented his own character, i never thought i'd watch a movie depicting friggin gay love but i watched him and he was excellent in that as well

  • Heath got a nom!!! i hope he wins, he definitely deserved it

  • Anarchy...yes...i love it

  • Anarchy

  • Heath Ledger makes a good Joker

  • This is a reallly good movie. Poor batman he never finds out Rachel doesnt like him. :( There better be a second one.

  • third one :)

  • u mean 3rd? there batman begins, the dark knight, and theres a third one tht should come out

  • to think before this was Adam West's version of batman haha

    POW! ZOK! Holy baterang Batman!

  • that movie is a brainwash movie. pro bush and anti terror war crap. watch it with attention and you will see...

  • der scheiß hammer die scene

  • sorry for repeating but: BEST MOVIE EVER!!! - and believe me, I've seen a lot of movies until now.

fantastic, thrilling story and brilliant actors - Heath Ledger's Joker will be remembered forever. I've been watching this movie uncountable times and it really gets better every time.

only thing that makes me sad is I cannot think any other movie will ever impress me as much as The Dark Knight did.

  • I dont care what people say about how bad this film is but to be honest i love the film sooo much and people that say its rubbish and stuff try doing a better job x

  • Christopher Nolan made my head explode with this movie.

  • Dark Knight is a shining example of movie making. One of the best movies of all times. Hope they make a 3rd one, but i honestly don't know if they can surpass this. The stakes are high.

  • yeh I can imagine a Godfather 3 scenario

  • honestly this was an awesome movie!!

  • love it

  • This movie can blow my schlong

  • This movie is a part of history.

  • heath ledger was made for this role. i heard when he was the joker he never took off the makeup(explaining why its all smeared in some scenes) and locked himself in his apartment like he was a dark killer. he was also creepy on the set. he really got into character. but sadly he died just like the other actors who played the joker in the past batman movies. he would earn som may awrds if he was still alive today and i garrentyhe would do anouther movie

  • Heath Ledger's Joker is epic and legendary, and he proved himself to be a caliber of actor beyond what anyone knew, in this final role of his. Indeed Oscar worthy.

Jack Nicholson isn't dead though, I don't see any kind of 'Joker curse' going on here.

  • cant wait gettin this on Blu-Ray

  • i love this movie, buyin it 2 disc version right when it comes out

  • This movie had amazing acting by HEATH, obviously, but also had amazing quotes like:

"I believe that whatever doesn't kill you, makes you a bit stranger", "the night is darkest before the dawn", and ofcourse "he's not a hero, he's a watchful guardian a silent protector a dark knight"

  • honestly...i think the cartoons were a lot more serious than the film. I think the cartoons were for adults and the films for children lol

  • love this movie, it was ahhmazingg!

  • HQ my ass.

  • this is good

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else feel lied to when the title and description call this video high def? Both the audio AND video are washed out and crappy

  • Joker's definiton of "chaos"... "a disruption in the established order"... well who says chaos is a bad thing? Hehe, if you understand me. Hey, and here is a line from the Joker that makes you think 'bout it, "See? This is what happens when an unstopable force, meets an immovable object." Think what would happen, lol. Quite interesting the logics behind the Joker's unusual actions.

  • Hehe... hehehaha, I love this movie. I think the main focus of the film wasn't on Batman, or the Joker, but on Harvey Dent. It really shows the line between good and evil, honor and corruption, etc. "This city deserves a better class of criminal... and I'm gonna give it to 'em" I love that part, I have never seen another movie where the villan has such an insatiable lust for chaos, he doesn't care about the money. Top five movies... top three maybe? It is definitely up there. Hehe... hehehahaha.

  • the movie was good, and the best super hero movie ive seen so far (in my opinion of course) but certainly not the best movie (tho it comes in my top 5) the movies shining moments is those final 30 minutes of it, if you can stop watching it those final 30 minutes, idk wat to say. the final monologue by Gordon was powerful too. Spiderman just got emo in it's last movie.

  • Amazing Movie, Trailer so not HD.

  • Go to my page to actually see the trailer in high quality. You have to select high quality under the video.

  • is this the last batman? pls reply

  • this is probably the most talked about movie of all time. It killed spiderman's ratings on the second night.

  • dude..the joker laugh is just badass!...

  • HD MY ASS!!!!!

  • loved the movie, but the trailer is so random, i would have no idea what was going on if i didn't already see it

  • the trailer is not supposed to show you whats happening in the film. it shows you we have batman, the joker, harvey dent and some explosions! if you like it you go and see the story behind this.

  • but who DOESN'T already know the story behind joker/batman/2 face??!!!??!

  • FAAAAAARRRRRRRR from HD

  • cool but ya imax is cooler then in theaters lol :)

  • ONE OF THE BEST TRAILERS EVER MADE

  • why so serious?

  • 8 times man:P

  • 8 times for me too! :) That's awesome!

  • OMG, think of all the money u coulda saved if u just saw it once and then waited for the dvd. seriously it was good, but if u pay 20 bucks for a ticket and popcorn and stuff thats 160 and the dvd gonna cost 25 at most

  • Lol! :) To quote the Joker, "it's not about money, it's about sending a message." ;) No, I totally see where you're coming from, and that's why, in ALMOST every film I see, I only see it once. Very rarely even twice. As a filmmaker, I always would love to see the great ones more than once, but have to obviously conserve and not waste money. But TDK is something different. It's an EVENT going to see it at the theater. Just seeing it once and waiting for DVD doesn't do the event justice, IMO. ;)

  • lol, i know what u mean. when i went to see it, it was so hyped up i felt like i was going to see the New Year's ball or a broadway show, nothing like any other movie i've seen. still, i have a budget, so two times was enough for me until the dvd comes out

  • Lol, I know where you're coming from too :) and that's so cool that you felt like it was New Year's ball or a broadway show! I've often times equated it to seeing an opera, or something like Mozart's Requiem back when Mozart was what everyone was raving about. It has that grand, epic scale and sense of theatricality that draws in everyone! :)

  • I loved it. I saw it at the IMAX. Hell yeah. :D

  • 5 times!

  • So did I! :D It was amazing!

  • I think everyone has an opinion. (: Maybe to them, it was the best movie ever.

  • I found few interesting and controversial opinions about the supposed beauty of this movie. If you want to listen more stuff on this, browse on the website which contains the previously mentioned podcasting on 'The Dark Knight':

    beyondtheexposition. com

  • that movie owned

  • I justloved that movie. For the THE BEST MOVIE EVER.

    RIP Heath Ledger .

  • I have to be honest, when i first heard Heath was getting nominated for an Oscar for this role I thought it was cause he died. Yknow the nice thing to do. Eh, sue me--so I said it. anywhoo, after seeing the trailer I understand why theyre nominating him. I couldnt believe that was him! Phew! Now to see the movie. haha :D

  • yeah thats why i saw it too. he was really good, he woulda deserved it even if he didnt die

  • Best. Movie. Ever.

  • ill take your word for it

  • Most. Over hyped. Movie. Ever. Although don't get me wrong I loved it and it was an amazing film but stop calling it the best ever.

  • Spoiler alert! XD I like the irony in Harvey Dent's words... "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

  • ummm, everybody knew the irony as soon as they saw the trailer for the first time. if you didnt know that harvey would turn into two face in the movie, then you must have been living in space.

  • i love jocker .he has acted so well

  • Heath Ledger plays joker in the most cleverly evil way ever! RIP Heath. Hell of a film.

  • omg. I LOVE THIS MOVIE !!!!

"I just want my phone call" that scene is hilarious. love this movie. <33

  • MOVIE OF THE YEAR! NO WAIT, CENTURY!!

  • you do not know what you say!

  • Are you saying Transformers is.... not only better than TDK...... but the film of the century. I mean, Transformers was great and all, but far from the film of the century. However, TDK is definatly up there. It is by far the most talked about, most hyped, most annticipated, and close to making the most money.

  • Movie of the century till next great movie.

  • this "century" only had 8 years so far, and this still wasn't the best movie. I liked The Dark Knight a lot, i just hate it when people give it so much hype that it can't possibly live up to the expectations

  • dude it did live up to expectations

  • i know a lot of people might disagree with this statement but TDK didnt live up to its expectations. It had so much hype that it was literally supposed to be the best movie ever made. As good as it was it cant compare with epic movies like The Godfather or Titanic. If you havent seen it you definitely should, and you can expect a great action movie with an interesting plot and terrific acting by Heath Ledger. But dont expect it to be the best movie youve ever seen, or you might be disappointed

  • wat are u talking about?

The Dark Knight made 550 million dollars in U.S, just 2nd place to Titanic of box office movies of all time.

And the reviews from critics and fans were unbealievable

So idk where u get that the dark knight didnt live up the hype

  • Thats the thing that i dont understand about TDK. It made the tons of money, it has excellent reviews from nearly every website, and everybody i know was saying "OMG BEST MOVIE EVER!!!" ... but i just dont think it was that great. it was good, but it was still just a regular action movie. It's not like it had mind-blowing special effects or a deep, compelling storyline. It was a popcorn flick. Cool, and very entertaining, but definitely not worthy of being called a "best movie ever" contender

  • well thats ur opinion

but u saying it was a regular action movie?

    I disagree

It wasnt about action at all, it was about meaning and story.

Usually action movies throw things right to ur face, but the dark knight set things up and build up things nicely and smoothly with a great paste.

But like i said its matter of opinion

and u saying its NOT the best movie ever made contender

well i disagree with dat to, cause honestly i thought it was dat good

  • The special effects were amazing, and it had a very deep plot that hasn't been attempted from any other superhero movie (The idea that a life with order leads to insanity.) Plus this movie is more of a crime drama than an action film, the plot and characters drive the story. This is a NOT a popcorn film, Ironman was a popcorn film but not TDK.

  • deep plot??? what the fuck!your nuts!

  • No I'm not "nuts"

  • listen, heres what im saying. Movies like The Matrix, King Kong, and 2001: A space oddyssey have amazing special effects. TDK had GOOD effects, not amazing ones. Movies like Memento and Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind had deep plots. TDK had a GOOD plot, not a deep one. it was a GOOD movie, and it was different from most action movies, but it was NOT a best movie contender because there really wasn't anything special about it. i love action movies but TDK isnt a best movie ever contender.

  • Well considering that TDK only used Special effects for Two-Face and a few Batman scenes it's a poor reason to complain about. Personally I think that The Dark Knight had a deep plot but this is where your preference lies. And no I don't think TDK should be called "One of the best movies ever" but it's a good movie none the less. I would call it the best comic book movie but not the Best Movie.

  • you're the one who said the special effects were amazing, im just responding by sayin that they werent anything special. but i completely agree with the rest of what you said. It was the best comic book movie i've ever seen, but it doesnt come close to being the best movie ever made

  • The special effects were certainly above average and but I may gave exaggerated a bit. But you and I agree that it is the best comic book movie so let's leave it at that :]

  • The reason alot of people praise the "special effects" is because alot of the action sequences were done without the use of Computer Graphics(such as the scene where the truck flips over).

  • I have to agree with Ballin2423 and to be honest 80% of the people that say it was the best ever is because Heath Ledger died and everyone wanted to see the movie in which he acted last. He's character was good so thats what got this thing going for everyone. I know I'm gonna get thumbs down for this just like Ballin2423 for saying our own opinion and how it is but oh well...TDK..it's not the best but it's good!

  • i agree i havn;t seen a moive but im sure he did a good job but even if he did a shit job because of his death every one makes it good

  • FINALLY SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ME! :)

  • Hollywood has a hard-on for Keith Ledger playing in Brokeback Mountain. So, all the projects he did afterword was praised to the heavens. Yes he is a good actor. No I'm not saying he is gay. No I'm not homophobic as a matter of fact, I'm pretty liberal. I just don't like seeing an actor's career and memory politicized by critics and the hollywood establishment when it isn't called for.

Ledger's joker was good, but no he wasn't the best thing since Brando like the press makes him out to be.

  • its health ledger dude not keith ledger get it right

  • the point is that the performance he gave was excellent. the best joker so far. thats why people make a big deal over it. When an actor can truely become the character he is playing thats when you reward him with that type of praise. im sure i speak for everyone who enjoyed the film that he was truely, TRUELY able to make the audience believe he was absolutely out of his mind. thats why he deserves the praise.

  • i agree usually parts like this for sctors are hard make up like that can overshadow their performance i can spaek for many wen i say that through out the movie i forgot it was heath ledger and onli saw the joker and thats wen they deserve such praise wen u forget whos action and onli see the character thats the whole point of OUTSTANDING acting and he portrayed it PERFECTLY

R.I.P HEATH ANDREW LEDGER!! Best joker period!! and phenomenal actor

  • Honestly we had no idea what we were walking into when we first stepped into that theater to see The Dark Knight. The full movie makes this trailer look weak, that is a rare rare thing especially when the trailer is friggin awesome. I had high expectations, high, but The Dark Knight blew me away. I am afraid you are a victim of hype. You see it's hype that disappoints you in the end, not the other way around.

  • Actually im not a victim of Hype, never was cause I know to wait for things before judging them. So lay back on the comments where you don't have a clue about me. Not gonna add anything more because I think I've written enough in my previous comment. Cya

  • For fucks sakes, this isn't even remotely full HD. Youtube doesn't even support DVD quality(720x480), much less full HD (1920x1080).

  • I wonder who's goin to play as the Catwoman?

  • Only one movie will end the debate and will be unmatched for a ver very very very long time....It's when Steven Spielberg will produce and direct....THE DEATH OF SUPERMAN! and it will be 5 hours because many stars will included: Shaq - the man of steel, Jhnny Depp - Superboy...and lots more.

  • huh?

  • strange person

  • I made a sweet fan trailer because of this trailer, if your finished watching this trailer watch mine it's the same audio just fake visuals, It's called the "The Golden Knight trailer" , We just took Goldeneye, my favorite Bond movie and used the audio from the third Dark Knight trailer, I've got another one almost done. Hope you guy's like it.

  • best batman film by far!

  • IGN is quoting reports from the Daily Telegraph which are hinting that Warner Bros have chosen Johnny Depp to play the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman to take on the role of the Penguin in the next Batman installment.

  • Warner Bros have Chosen??? Now I know its not real. There is no Script guys! C'mon lets use our brains here.

  • You don't need a script to pick the next villians alones, they create the script around the next set of villians that they choose.

  • There is some truth to that. But its all up to Nolan. I hear people talking catwoman, penguin all this stuff and that warner has chosen what villains are in the next movie. All I'm saying is let Nolan do his thing or else we are going to have Batman and Robin pt 2. We have to be very careful how to proceed w/ the batman franchise at this point. Now that its big everyone wants in on it. angelina Depp, etc. These guys were'nt around when B begins was in the works so... no dice for them. IMO

  • Fuck Robin, that's the last thing this series needs, everytime robin gets invovled it screws up the remainder of the series because it makes Batman look weak when their is a sidekick. Putting Robin in this series would be suicide.

  • Its only happend once... I personally think that if they do robin correctly it would enhance the story. But thats just me.

  • Well once is to many in my book.
