Ive had xbox live since the first year it came out when i was like 7 and it was all good when it first started of course there was profanity but it wasn't like it is now. Im black and the first day*i was 14) i decided to play gears online i got called a nigger by a gang of rednecks. I didn't outlash, i just took it and that shit stings. It's annoying as hell I'd really wish the Live community would mature. It is sad that a 14 year old can act more mature than some 20-30 yr old

Been PSN'n and XBL'n for four years, I will say I hear more of it on XBL then PSN and overall I find more mature people on PSN who use the mic for what it's suppose to be used for.
When it comes done to it tho, there is always the mute feature... and yes it works.

I'm 2 almost 3 years into having and using Xbox Live, in that period I've had maybe 400, 500 friends across 5, 6 different accounts.. I have never, ever, ever, ever heard a single one of those people say they report others, I've never done it, I've never known someone to do it, if anyone really did it or enough an amount of people to matter.. there wouldn't be any assholes on Live, would there?

Actually when your a high level such as 50 which obviously you guys suck at video games so your not then you wouldn't realize people at high ranks use the mic to win. I rarely experience this on XBL(xbox live).

I know what you mean. I have a lot of games and the one where I have witnessed the most abuse to other players is Halo 3. And I have noticed that it is usually little kids or teens that play when they are pissed and vent out their anger on the players.
